This left a large area between our fireplace and side wall, which was plenty of space for her to work on her dance routines and teach our daughter ballet. We decided the best use of the blank wall would be to put a large mirror on it and turn the space into a ​personal, convertible dance studio. I took some measurements, a couple of photos, and emailed them to GlassWorks's general email address. It was a Sunday, and John called back 15 minutes later with a total, including install. (My measurements​ and photos were pretty​ detailed, so I doubted the price would change in the end). My wife and I debated​ about actually moving forward with the project and finally called John back a couple of weeks later. He came over the next day to take a quick look, measure​ it himself, and confirm the pricing was solid. I called back the next day to pay the deposit and wait to schedule another measurement and marking by his install team. It took a little while to actually get those guys out here because they seem to be pretty busy. It was about 2 weeks before they actually came out. The guys who came out, Carlos and Jesus, were extremely​ nice and professional. You could tell they really took their time to make sure everything was measured correctly and in the right spot (nothing in our condo actually lines up​ or is centered). They left the tape on the wall to mark center in case​ different installers came out to do it. It took another couple of weeks for the shop to fabricate the mirrors with cutouts for our outlets, then the install was scheduled. Carlos and Jesus came back out to install it. There was a little imperfection on the center edge of one of the mirrors. Carols pointed it out to me and it took a minute for me to actually see what he was talking about. Whether or not I saw it didn't matter, because they were already taking the steps to correct it. All in all, the process took about 4 weeks from John coming out, to having the mirrors installed. The time frame took a little longer than I expected, but that's what happens when you work with a company that is consistently​ busy. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous​, from Sandy who answers the phones to Rammell​ who schedules the crew, it was great working with the GlassWorks team. I highly recommend​ them.

Since then, I went back to the store in person (two more times), and finally got someone to come out to fix the item. It was not an elegant fix, but the item now works. Interestingly enough, I got a call from the owner today asking me to print a retraction of this review, since the problem has been solved. He didn't challenge what I wrote, so obviously he recognized the situation. At first I deleted the original review, but I'm reposting it with the revision. So my revised review is: Stan's Glass can probably solve any glass problem you might have. They don't take credit cards, so you don't have any leverage if something goes wrong - you're on your own, and you'd better be persistent. If you are, they will make good. The original transaction went smoothly and in a timely manner, and if the item had not been defective, I would have been quite satisfied.

We had a medium sized glass order for our new kitchen cabinets. I brought the three different-sized…read moredoors in for S&S to measure and cut clear glass for. I was given a reasonable quote based on initial measurements and then was instructed to leave the doors and that they would measure and cut the glass within a week. I had planned to install the glass and the rubber gaskets for the glass myself at home. I picked up the glass a few days later. They were very quick, but I couldn't get there until a couple of days after. I brought everything back and discovered that some of the glass didn't fit the openings in the doors. I contacted them immediately and they said they would not only recut where needed but that they would also install the glass free of charge. I brought the glass and all the doors (this time, which I really should've done the first time) back to S&S. I had hoped to have the glass job before a big dinner party, but it looked like it was not going to happen. To my surprise, Scott did the work in a single day, which was shocking to me. The doors were ready, and they looked great. Scott informed me that there can be discrepancies in door opening sizes despite them being identical doors, which now makes sense to me. He was very helpful, kind, and informative. We're very happy with their work and their customer service. The cabinets look great!

I was referred to Lakeside Glass and Mirror by my fabulous father-in-law and my husband ran the plastic backing piece to them this morning. When he explained the incident they said they could try to mount a new piece of glass in 24 hours. Imagine our surprise when they called us six hours later to say it was done! When we went in to pick it up, they had also glued it to the plastic backing piece!
