Jason, Carlos and Julio just installed our custom 3form digital image shower partition. Incredible job working with a very expensive large pane of glass; getting it upstairs and fitting it in just so. The entire bathroom renovation was designed around this piece and it was the last thing to go in. Perfect icing on the cake put in by a really great crew. Plus they took away the giant crate it came in.

Everyone at Chicago Glass and Mirror handled our project professionally and beautifully. Simon did a wonderful job helping us define our vision for the space. Rafael did a great job scheduling. I needed to replace the mirrors and shower doors in my master bath. I normally get 3 quotes for most projects and CGM came through with a great price, quickly with great follow up and follow through. The mirrors were installed when promised, with great care for our newly painted walls and new carpet. They are sparkling clean! The shower door went in today. The installation looks solid and the door is top quality. I'll write a follow up if anything changes, but I don't expect it will these guys are top notch. read more

Liz in sales, is extremely knowledgeable and provides communication in a very timely manner. Their pricing is very reasonable and they offer great service. There were four parts to my job. Three of them were measured incorrectly and had to be redone. Workers simply leave the jobsite without any word and the head office never calls to tell you anything. It's up to the customer to check which jobs were abandoned and to call to find out why. Also, even if installers mysteriously leave, they can't just come back the next day, you have to set a whole new appointment the following week. One part took two weeks to get installed and the remaining two will take three weeks - all because of their screw-ups. I'm so dissatisfied with one part of the job, I will likely replace it once the dust settles. read more

I don't know about all these great reviews but this company is beyond incompetent and they lied about their work too. As a landlord, they've installed many showers for me. One by one the glass doors fall out because they don't secure them properly. I showed them pictures and written statements from other installers that say they were not installed properly. This company wouldn't even credit me the first door when it happened. Trust me. The first female tenant who open that shower glass door with no protection on their feet is going to sheer those toes off and I almost had a lawsuit from this. This is dangerous company to use and I'm writing again today because I have yet one more shower door that was falling out of its channel. Not one bit of call held this door and panel into place. Just a thin bead of caulk on the glass to keep it water tight. Zero strength in this. You need the whole channel on every side loaded with caulk to hold up a door. I'm not the litigious type or these guys would be out of business. I'm sure most who read this and used this company have one bath. I've had dozens and this is a repeat issue with them. There are plenty of other issues I've had with them but this issue is dangerous. read more

Liz Sanz promptly visited our condo and made very good recommendations based on our space. Her reputation preceded her while the dock manager spoke highly of her having spoke to other residents about her and CGM. She brought different solutions to accommodate predesignated toilet stack and space. In high rises toilet locations cannot easily change. Our toilets in both bathrooms encroach on shower. Love her recommendation for hardware. it is really is top shelf! Her technical team consisting of Mario, Gustavo ( Gus) and Carlos were all instrumental in the final design and install. Kudos to Gus who is a perfectionist. His vision and recommendations really were helpful for me. He doubled in measuring and returning with Carlos to install. In our case, this continuity was vital. Gus knew the space and had the vision so install went smooth. We would easily say Gus & Carlos' install was as if it was going into their or a family members home. They really care and did not rush job. We are very happy and know they are truly perfectionists. Liz came with a terrific reputation and was already known in my high rise and It was all true. The dynamic duo of Gustavo and Carlos did a world-class install. If we sought any criticism about any aspect of job...it took a little longer than expected. But as far as we are concerned the ends justify the means and we are very happy with completed job. We would easily recommend CGM! Thank you. read more

After years of not properly maintaining my existing glass shower door I made the mistake of of using an abrasive scrubbing pad in effort to remove the water spots that had built up. The result was small scratches all over the door which meant replacement was my only option. I contacted several companies and landed on Chicago Glass & Mirror to install a Frameless Glass Shower and Inline Panel Shower Enclosure. Their pricing was in line with the other estimates I received so it came down to who I trusted to do the job and their sales rep, Frank Batusic, is what tipped the scales for me. He didn't attempt to oversell and the service was as promised. Very professional business. Highly recommend. read more

They came out immediately and gave us a fair quote - Frank was very helpful in explaining what could have caused the issue, and talking through different options. Called and got someone to come over and give us an estimate right away they emailed the price within a few days and they followed up to see if we wanted to book. I booked the order and gave them my credit card and then found out that it would be three weeks before installation. (I was upset about the date as I felt that should have been vocalized before I gave my payment information ) but they put me on a fast track list and were able to install it within the next 2 weeks. The mirrors look great they did a tremendous job. Overall very happy that I went with them. read more

When these concerns were raised, Janet became hostile, disrespectful, and argumentative rather than addressing the issue professionally. We ultimately decided to go with a competitor and that's when Janet lost it. Customer service is a fundamental part of doing business. Treating potential customers with respect, providing transparent pricing, and communicating professionally should be the minimum standard. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company. Tim & Darb need to address is because they just lost at least 200 window sales from us alone. 1. Do your job. You're the window expert, not us. 2. Treat every customer with RESPECT. 3. Accept that this is a COMPETITIVE MARKET.

Had an amazing experience with Chicago Glass & Mirror from start to finish. First, I worked with Liz (sales). She was well informed, not pushy, and super reasonable. I received 2 other quotes and by far was most impressed with her and her approach. Even after receiving a bid that was lower came in, she had already won be over and I knew we had to work together. Next, I had Manny (laser measurements). He was thorough and professional; took time to walk through what the measurements were and what I could expect for install day. Finally, I had Jason and Carlos (installation)! Um...they were awesome! We had two showers done and they were in and out around 4 hours; meticulous with details and cleaned up flawlessly. Also, they were friendly and courteous; Jason even took a small amount time to answer an unrelated shower question/problem I had, and was SUPER helpful. I would hire this whole team again in a heartbeat! In fact, the final product looked better than whatever contractor was used to install my master shower door. Happy to share photos if needed, but they looks similar to those already presented. Oh, and quick shout out to Mario - he did all the scheduling; pleasant and efficient! I don't know what these other people are talking about. Since one of them seems to be a commercial for another company, complete with phone number, I suspect that it might not exactly be "an average customer." I am just a consumer who got lucky and found nothing but courtesy, professional service and a wide variety of product at Chicago Glass and Mirror. I'm also a reviewer by profession so I tend to be very, very critical of what I observe. What I've observed from this company is hassle-free, perfection. I've had them do several projects at my home and there has not been one speck of problem. In fact, it's been quite the contrary. They're selection was great, they were very accommodating, the service was on time EXTREMELY attention to detail oriented and the price was more than reasonable. I will be a return customer the next time I'm in need of their company. And I most certainly avoid the other companies that have gone to the extreme of trashing their competitors with fake Yelp reviews. read more

I had recently converted a small bathroom with a tub to a walk in shower and wanted to get a custom shower door. I called Chicago Glass and Mirror and Frank responded to my call very quickly. We set up a time in the next few days and he came out to give me a quote. He is incredibly personable ,super helpful, and not pushy to buy and/ or upgrade. I did get another estimate and although they were comparable in price , I decided to go with Frank just because I knew it would be a great customer experience - and it didn't disappoint. From the young man that came to laser measure (And I'm sorry I forgot his name), to the administrative staff that took my order and initial deposit, to the installers , everybody was incredibly professional, helpful, and VERY NICE!! I had a great experience with CGM. I was coming off a nightmare with a local glass company on the south side. That for another review. I first talked to Liz, who had great sympathy for my ongoing ordeal. She sent out Rafael who did the initial measuring. He explained everything that needed to be done and was able to choose hardware to cover the holes drilled into my tiles from the other glass company's hardware. Then came Jason and Carlos about 3 weeks later to install. It would have been sooner but, I had to reschedule 2 times, thanks to Mario for being understanding. Jason and Carlos put down moving blankets to start, which was a nice surprise, and I swear when they left, the bathroom was cleaner than its was when they first got there. The finished product looks great! Very satisfied. My overall experience with CGM was definitely positive and would not hesitate using them again in the future. read more

We just completed a bathroom renovation in our 1911 brick home - down to the studs - complete with high-end everything. We interviewed four glass shower door/wall providers and CG&M stood out right from the beginning because the designer (Simon) was both knowledgeable and excited about the unique aspects of our project (it required custom hinges, etc due to a 6" set-back on one side). He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need, but helped us choose the best materials and even gave us key design ideas that influenced our decisions. The care they took with the install was incredible: measured twice, install took two days, but that was because they were getting every clearance as small as possible and not just filling gaps with silicone. We couldn't be happier and are willing to speak with anyone as a reference. Will definitely be sticking with them for future projects. read more

I did a modest remodel on two bathrooms. I got the Chicago Glass and Mirror name from two contractors and two residents in my building on Clarendon. I'm 100% pleased: fair price, phone calls and texts returned promptly, office and field staff knew their stuff, work completed quickly and perfectLyle's, high grade materials used. Thru no fault of theirs, a tile was cracked previously right where a mounting plate (for shower door) should be installed. instead of cutting corners, they wisely delayed the install until I could get the tile fixed. I did, they returned and did a proper job. I didn't get the names of the two guys who correct delayed installing with the cracked tile...sorry . Dealing with Phil Estrada in the office, and installers Carlos and Jason leaves me a completely satisfied customer. read more

Signed up for Yelp just so I could leave this review, because the whole team at Chicago Glass & Mirror were that awesome. Frank B. walked me through the entire scoping process and helped to identify a great solution (after another mirror company insisted they needed to glue instead of hardware-mount mirrors to our walls), a great guy whose name I didn't get (so sorry!) came out to do the laser measurements, then David & Edgar--both of whom were super friendly and professional--did a perfect job of installing two very large mirrors (high-five for getting them up our three-story walkup, too). Such a difference (and relief) after first trying to work with the other big glass and mirror company in town, which was a pretty patronizing and unprofessional experience. Just had Julio and Leo repair my shower doors. They installed new sweeps on the bottoms of each door and new sealants on the edge. They did an EXCELLENT job. Firstly they put shoe protectors on to protect my floors without my even asking them to do so. Instead of them just taking off the old sweeps and installing new ones they thoroughly cleaned the glass and removed all the mineral buildup before carefully measuring the new sweeps and installing them. I was concerned about my marble floors but they covered them with drop cloths to completely protect them. Simon is my sales rep who quickly set everything up for us. Recently we purchased a home in Lincoln Park, and used Chicago Glass and Mirror to install shower doors, mirrors, and decorative glass French doors. Simon was extremely knowledgable and helpful. The installations were done with an attention to detail. I recommended to friends to use this company and they also had a great experience. They then turned around and recommended this company to their friends. I would say that this company stays in business because they are good at what they do. Unfortunately many times people will only comment on Yelp when they have bad things to say. However my own experience, and many other people I know has been nothing but positive. I recently remodeled my bathroom. I was looking for a slab of glass for my shower. I had a great experience with Chicago Glass & Mirror. Simon was amazing to work with. He has a lot of experience and his knowledge helped me decide on whether or not to add trim to the glass shower panel. I am so happy that I decided to get the black trim around the glass panel. I hired CGM to build out a glass wall for a wine cellar. The estimator (Simon) was professional, personal, and made me comfortable that the work would be done right. Even something as simple as painting the door lock black to match the rails was no issue (no other company offered this). We had a tiny, ugly, dated shower that was beautifully transformed. Simon helped us pick out the perfect hardware and glass, and then David & Oscar did the installation. I can't say enough about their professionalism, hard work, and generosity in staying well past five to finish and clean up and to do extra replacement of the old silicone around areas not connected to the glasswork so that the finished job would look like a brand new shower. Chicago Glass replied quickly to my initial request and were great in communicating with me on the appointments and answering questions. We just had Chicago Glass and Mirror install a mirror along the length of our condo's living room and the result is just absolutely phenomenal! Rafael and Ivan did the install, they did an amazing job and it was no easy feat bringing the mirror panels 5 floors up but they made it happen.
