Haven't been here in a while and they started serving brunch so some friends and decided to try it. I had an espresso martini and it was delicious. The chicken and waffles were amazing too. My friends were happy with the omelette and waffles too. All the drinks were delicious. We will definitely be back to brunch again

Went to this little spot in Richmond I happen before and I had good service. The food was good. This time went with a girlfriend and we stood at the front for about a minute before anyone said hello or anything so we just was kind of standing at the door and the lady was you know behind the bar and just kind of looked up and didn't say anything it would've been fine if for sale will be right with you, but there was that thing we were sat down. The service was OK. The food was just OK. It was meh. I was kind of disappointed because I brought my friend there because I had experienced it before and she wasn't excited about it so but it's a great Ambiance really nice for a date, but I was hoping that the service would be better

This is a really lovely upscale Italian spot with a great drink happy hour. I had an old fashioned and some garlic bread. The bartender, Ian, was a lovely host and the drinks were excellent

Had a great lunch with cousin today! The food and service was 10/10. The staff was hospitable and warm. It was nice to have a new experience right at home. I've lived in Richmond most of my life and this was my first time here. I will be a frequent patron here in the near future and have already shared my experience with friends and family.

I recently found myself looking for a special place to celebrate my mother's birthday and I found it at Biancoverde at Hotel Mac. Booking the place was pretty easy, just called them up and they were able to get us a reservation for a table of 6 on a Sunday evening. Upon arrival,I was kinda blown away by the decor, holiday themed with a gentleman playing the piano and a lively crowd sitting at the bar-I for sure felt like I picked the right place for my mothers special birthday celebration. We started out our meal with complimentary bread service, which was delicious and 2 starters, the meatballs($17.95) and the potato wedges($15.95)-they had fancy names but basically that's what they were. The meatballs were so great,I really enjoyed their texture and flavor. The wedges were very solid but what made them standout was this truffle aioli sauce they were served with-outstanding-I need this recipe somehow. We went with a few main dishes-Penne alla Vodka($31.50) which was very good, featuring Salmon and vodka sauce-the Salmon was so tasty it melted like butter on every bite.We also went with the Tortellini($29.25) dish which featured pork filled pasta in carbonara sauce with prosciutto-It was pretty good, especially when u got the bite just right with the tortellini and the tasty pieces of prosciutto-very yumz for sure!...In my opinion, the star of the night was my dish-I ordered Lasagne di Manzo($28.95)-which was a lasagna featuring ground beef and lots of cheese covered in Napolitana sauce-man oh man it was delicious, every bite was super tasty and not sure if it was the sauce that made the difference but the sauce gave the entree a very light feel, after eating that dish I felt light still,a feeling I only have ever gotten when eating pasta when I was in Rome-so it was a great dining experience without a doubt. In closing I would definitely recommend this restaurant if your looking for a place to share a slightly upscale dining experience where time is not a concern,a place that took me back to the casual nights I spent in Rome enjoying 2 hour+ dinner experiences filled with conversation and great company eating flawless foods-I will for sure come back to this amazing hidden gem of a spot! PS....Almost forgot-the crème brulee($12) and cappuccino($6) we had after dinner were exquisite-gave me all the pep I needed for the long drive home to Sacramento after this meal.....Be Kind out there.

Had a taste for some Italian food so I headed over to Hotel Mac for lunch. We were seated right away and our meal came out pretty quickly. The service was good and the Scampi Di Gamberetti was delicious!

I haven't been here in close to a decade, I can't even remember what the prior restaurant was called. Came here on a date very recently and the food and experience was good. Great, attentive service and the red snapper was good. There was live music downstairs that was super mellow, a good crowd of folks but not packed. I'll be back for sure, maybe not with the same date though

A go to spot for date night or a solid meal after a long week. Actually celebrated our engagement with our best man there too. A good time and excellent memory

A Manhattan isn't a bad way to start out an evening. I had the polpette which were good. Not sure if they used veal or not but they were moist. Had the fettuccine Alfredo with prosciutto and sausage. The prosciutto were thickish rectangular pieces which I wasn't expecting. The sausage was overcooked. The dish though was hot out of the kitchen and kept its temperature. I like that. Since it was someone's birthday they brought out a complimentary tiramisu which was good! We ate upstairs near the front of the restaurant. It wasn't uncomfortable at all as we've experienced wet weather of late. Service was good.

I've been enjoying the delightful upscale Italian food here at Biancoverde for years. I've also attended company events here. The food and service are spectacular. This review is for the new Happy Hour menu. From 2-6pm, they offer amazing bar bites and cocktails for a very reasonable price. Very worth it!

Long time patron of Hotel Mac Second time here for dinner under new management. I will start off by saying Thelma the bartender was spot on. Personable, professional with great suggestions. She knows her bar and executes cocktails to perfection. Dinner in the other hand was slow, my pasta was overly salted and I had to send it back and we were served a dish on a chipped plate, not good. My water glass was empty most of the time as I had to ask for a refill after waiting an unreasonable time and this occurred at least 5 times. Service was slow and there was not really a rush of diners. Pesto pasts was good as was the side of shrimp and bread. There is definitely potential and I want to give a good review but will have to revisit as this time was not A great experience. All employees were personable And eager to make things right. Two meals out of three were acceptable and flavorful. Will try again soon.

What a hidden gem! I've been to many restaurants in this part of the East Bay for over a decade, but never knew about this restaurant. We were planning to go to Larkspur for a Saturday lunch but a traffic accident on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge diverted our plans. A relative who was with us and lives in the area suggested we go to Biancoverde instead to avoid sitting in traffic. Glad we did! The restaurant shares the same building as the Hotel Mac which was built in 1911, with each business under different ownership. The interior of the restaurant is super charming with its old saloon style bar and upper dining room seating. The dished we ordered (salad, clams, red snapper, lamb chops, desserts) were all delicious and the portions were generous! The service was friendly, attentive, and all-around fantastic! Bonus, the neighbor the restaurant is located in is charming, quaint, and has gold rush era feel to it. It felt like a quick getaway from the "normal" Bay Area.

Is there a Sunday brunch menu?

Yes, but it is a sad shadow of the real menu. We love this place for their delicious Italian food, but brunch really just did not measure up...

    What is your corkage fee?

    I was told it's $25

When maps directed me to here, I was shocked. Stepped in there was 1 party so I said great its not busy. As we took a seat, I kept hearing the online ordering beeps while the nice young man was there checking them. Alan came around and handed us menus and since my little one is into chicken or country fried steak, its the first thing I asked him when he greeted us. Ordered the food and observed hes the only o ne cleaning tables, greeting, processing the online orders and waiting. Hes truly a star and is great at what he does. Food is fresh and delicious. Did not disappoint. Kudos to Alan

I…read morereviewed yelp to find something close that maybe we hadn't tried, and I found Mely's with the amazing rating of 4.3 stars. We've lived in Hercules for over 30 years and are creatures of habit, so it was nice to venture the 10-minute drive to San Pablo. We were not impressed by the exterior strip mall building, but the interior of Mely's is very cute, homey, and clean. (I even peeked into the kitchen since the door was open.) I wanted pancakes, but got waffles instead since W ordered the blueberry buttermilk stack. We both had a side of eggs, his scrambled and mine sunny side up. The eggs were delish; mine in particular was perfectly cooked with slightly crunchy edges, a beautiful, silky, runny yolk, and no uncooked whites. The blueberry pancakes are so good! Of course they are huge and I ate some of them in addition to my waffle. We could have split just the pancakes and been perfectly happy. They cook berries inside the homemade batter and top them with a house-made blueberry compote. Maple syrup and soft butter on the side. The waffles are crispy outside with a light, airy, center, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. I had strawberries on the side (+$5 !!). Since I ate some of W's pancakes, we took half the waffles home. W had a drip coffee--no decalf available so I had the fresh-squeezed OJ. It was a large glass so I took half of that home, too. The coffee was nothing to rave about, but it was coffee. Service was friendly and efficient--there is only one cook and one server, and it seems several of us arrived at the same time on this Sunday morning. Overall a wonderful find that we will return to so we can explore more dishes. We saw omelets and Benedict's come out that looked amazing! Plus, I want to try the dinner menu, which also looked pretty amazing.
