This is a cozy family Italian restaurant located in a strip mall. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday evening which was good since we had a large party. We tried several dishes on their menu and a few items on the kids menu. We ordered the seafood cioppino, the seafood pasta, calamari, Mac and cheese, pizza margherita, osso bucco, salmon, Caesar salad, fish special of the day, and gnocchi. In general, all the dishes were pretty good but my favorites were the gnocchi, osso bucco and the calamari. The gnocchi was soft with a delicious mushroom sauce. The osso bucco was fall off the bone tender and flavor was excellent. Both fishes were slightly fishy but texture was nice and tender. The seafood cioppino and the seafood pasta tasted identical except one came with bread and one with pasta so I would order one or the other but not both if you are sharing. We ordered the crème brûlée, gelato, and tiramisu for dessert. All were very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had a good time and would come back for another meal. read more

It's one of our few go to Italian restaurants in the area. The price point and taste are reasonable. Service can be inattentive, but overall they are friendly and accommodating. One time, I asked if they could do a "pink" sauce and they asked the chef and they made it for us. The cioppino, rib eye steak, seafood pasta, and spaghetti bologneise are typically our go to, and they are always delicious. I do wish that the clams and mussels are better quality though (they typically came "shrunk" and "fishy" which typically meant they weren't very fresh or not good quality). Desserts are ok, we often pass and they serve free warm break with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Certainly a nice neighborhoods Italian restaurant. It's spacious, so you can always walk in to dine. I've always passed by this restaurant, but never had the chance to stop by. However, my friend wanted to eat here for dinner. The restaurant is very spacious, with lots of seating. There seems to be a room in the back for bigger parties. One side of the restaurant is the bar area and the other is dining. Our waitress was very attentive. She came by multiple times to check on us and refilled our water glass. I ordered the linguine carbonara and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked pasta with crispy bacon on top! Came here with a group of 6 for lunch. This place serves standard Italian food and is a hidden gem! It has been around for a while but I have always come to this shopping center to do other things and never really thought of eating here. Wow am I glad I did! The food is delicious and amazing! Two people in our party ordered the Osso Buco which is a veal shank braised with vegetables, wine, broth, and over a bed of pillowy polenta. It was so tender, you could cut it with a fork! Osso Buco is hard to find, even in Italian restaurants so this was a rare opportunity and it proved to be well worth it. Another person had the chicken marsala which looked absolutely scrumptious. I had the Basa fish and it was prepared in a way that it was one of the best I have ever had. We all raved over our meals! The service was friendly and excellent too. Amazing Italian restaurant hidden in the Pinole shopping center by Lucky's. We took my SIL her for her birthday. We had 5 people attend the lunch. The food was fantastic! I had the steak and shrimp salad. So dang good!! Surf and turf on a bed of lettuce!! I try to stay as low carb as possible so this was the perfect lunch for me!! My SIL had the lasagna. She ended up taking half of it home. For dessert we had the chocolate torte. It was to die for! I ordered a glass of the house red wine and it was excellent! This place all of us who worked at Ch Sugar use to have lunch here it was great back in 2019. I guess they changed there menu since covid hit. Now in 2025 the want $10.99 for a regular bowl of minestrone soup. The only problem it was not tomato based, it had potatoes, celery, carrots only tasteless and not Italian! Look up the description for minestrone soup online. Tomato base, onions, 3 beans, celery. Also what discussed me was a pear salad only 4 small thin slices of pears and regular tossed greens and they wanted $10.99. Not worth the price to come here. Pinole has some delicious spots amongst their big plazas and this Italian restaurant was a nice find. Ambiance is moderately upscale family style interior and the servers are very friendly and prompt. We are always greeted with complimentary freshly baked bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Family and I have gone twice and tried a variety of their freshly made pasta dishes: -Capellini Tutto Mare -Capellini al Pomodoro -Linguine Tutto Mare -Linguine Carbonara -Butternut squash ravioli The sauces had lots of flavor- the tutto mare is our favorite!) and the pastas were very fresh, especially the butternut squash ravioli. Prices are a little high but what you would expect from a fresh pasta spot. Looks like a mom and pop place too so we love supporting them! read more

We ordered 6 dishes plus 3 desserts and everything was tasty! The restaurant was not crowded. Everything was clean and tidy. It feels like a hole in the wall because you would not expect a fancy Italian restaurant in the back of the Dollar Tree store! My favorite dishes were the pork ossobuco and gnocchi. The pork ossobuco came on a bed of polenta and sauce that went perfectly well with the tender meat. My dad really liked the seafood pasta. Our kids loved the pizza and pasta. We enjoyed the ravioli but probably wouldn't order that again next time because I liked the other dishes better. We ordered a Caesar salad and that was very normal. We also ordered a bottle of wine to share since their wine menu pricing was extremely reasonable. For dessert, the tiramisu and cheesecake were both good. Found this place through Yelp reviews for a last minute date night. This place is at the corner of a strip mall. We walked in and noticed a few tables with guests. We were seated immediately. Immediately provided with water and bread basket with balsamic vinegar and EVOO. After browsing through the menu, we decided to order the caesar salad, capellini pomodoro and the ravioli with roasted beef and tomato cream sauce. Caesar salad was different than others we have had in the past. It filled the craving. Received our entrees and they both looked delicious. After one bite, we were happy to find this spot. My husband's ravioli was delicious. I thought my capellini was not going to be enough, but it was. We were pleasantly surprised with the flavors of our food. We decided to order the creme brulee for dessert. That was also good. Service was great, food was delicious and price was very reasonable. This was definitely worth the drive from Fairfield. My osso was a real treat and my friend was very pleased with his meal. I started by ordering a whisky-sour which was noticeably light on the whisky and when I ordered another I asked for a little stiffer drink it was done correct. My friend had a rum & coke which he liked. The osso was too much for me to finish and I came away with 1/3 of it to go. Price was $104 and I tipped $20. I can see with economic stability being sketchy these days why people would be shying away from moderate priced meals in favor of cooking at home or patronizing less expensive restaurants. We've been going to Due Rose for many years and always enjoy their food. I should explore the menu more and try other offerings but I almost always order my favorite dish, Pollo Al Matone (chicken under a brick) which is always prepared perfectly. I do switch it up on appetizers and their salads and desserts but I rarely deviate from the chicken. As for service and the ambiance, it is good. During this time of COVID-19, I find myself looking to support local businesses such as this one. I placed my order over Grubhub to be delivered. They had plenty of options to choose from with details and places to ask for changes etc. The menu is laid out well and have pasta dishes to beautiful protein entrees. Great prices for good portions! Our food arrived and had nice containers with tampering tape to let you know if your food has been tampered with. I really appreciate the extra steps everyone is taking to keep on going. The salads do come already tossed, I suggest asking for the dressing on the side if you are far away from the restaurant. I got the Caesar salad and I asked for no anchovies on top, they did put them on my salad. Fortunately it wasn't a lot and I was able to take them off. The dressing was excellent as well as the balance between all of the ingredients. My carbonara was super creamy, rich, and tasty. It did have bacon instead of the traditional pancetta. I feel like this sauce had heavy cream instead of the imulsion technique with egg. Still very tasty and the noodles seemed to be fresh. Great ingredients overall just a bit different than some of my favorite carbonara. My partner orders the Osso Bucco but unfortunately they ran out and gave me a call. The owner is very kind and offered the other protein options to go with the polenta and veggies. The New York steak and prawns was our substitute and it was so delicious! They give you a bag full of rolls and focaccia! Excellent service even when just a delivery order. I hope to dine in one day! This place has the most disgusting smell. So much so that I was afraid to oo at rder any meat. I asked for the butternut squash ravioli and they no longer serve it. I used to LOVE this place. I was looking forward to coming here all day. My husband got the fish special, which was actually delicious so there's that. I got the fettuccini Alfredo and it was the most bland pasta I've ever eaten. When we requested Parmesan cheese, we were brought what looked and tasted like Kraft Parmesan.
