A few of Dr. Corann Withers family members on her 90th birthday!
    Teirrah M.

It's been a few years since my family has done an in person gathering and Ristorante Due Rose was the perfect setting for my sister Corann's 90th birthday celebration. Our waiter Peter took magnificent care of us and the food was exquisite. My mouth can still taste that red sauce on the perfectly cooked linguine and OH that bruschetta was the best ever. Our waiter, Peter served us with the best of tender loving care. Guaranteed we will be back again and again.

This is a cozy family Italian restaurant located in a strip mall. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday evening which was good since we had a large party. We tried several dishes on their menu and a few items on the kids menu. We ordered the seafood cioppino, the seafood pasta, calamari, Mac and cheese, pizza margherita, osso bucco, salmon, Caesar salad, fish special of the day, and gnocchi. In general, all the dishes were pretty good but my favorites were the gnocchi, osso bucco and the calamari. The gnocchi was soft with a delicious mushroom sauce. The osso bucco was fall off the bone tender and flavor was excellent. Both fishes were slightly fishy but texture was nice and tender. The seafood cioppino and the seafood pasta tasted identical except one came with bread and one with pasta so I would order one or the other but not both if you are sharing. We ordered the crème brûlée, gelato, and tiramisu for dessert. All were very good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had a good time and would come back for another meal.

I've always passed by this restaurant, but never had the chance to stop by. However, my friend wanted to eat here for dinner. The restaurant is very spacious, with lots of seating. There seems to be a room in the back for bigger parties. One side of the restaurant is the bar area and the other is dining. Our waitress was very attentive. She came by multiple times to check on us and refilled our water glass. I ordered the linguine carbonara and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked pasta with crispy bacon on top! They didn't skimp on the bacon either lol. I love white sauce pastas and the sauce was very creamy. I'm kinda of craving it right now just writing this lol. Complimentary fresh bread and oil and balsamic was provided. I don't drink, but my friend says they have the best Long Island iced tea here! She says they make it strong, the way she likes it and that's the reason why she wanted to come eat here haha. I would definitely come back here and recommend this place to anyone who is craving pasta! There's a reason why they're still open after all these years. Truly, a hidden gem in our community. (Especially since it's located in a shopping center).

Came here with a group of 6 for lunch. This place serves standard Italian food and is a hidden gem! It has been around for a while but I have always come to this shopping center to do other things and never really thought of eating here. Wow am I glad I did! The food is delicious and amazing! Two people in our party ordered the Osso Buco which is a veal shank braised with vegetables, wine, broth, and over a bed of pillowy polenta. It was so tender, you could cut it with a fork! Osso Buco is hard to find, even in Italian restaurants so this was a rare opportunity and it proved to be well worth it. Another person had the chicken marsala which looked absolutely scrumptious. I had the Basa fish and it was prepared in a way that it was one of the best I have ever had. We all raved over our meals! The service was friendly and excellent too. I'm so glad I discovered this place and definitely want to come back again. Everything on the menu sounded so good!

Pinole has some delicious spots amongst their big plazas and this Italian restaurant was a nice find. Ambiance is moderately upscale family style interior and the servers are very friendly and prompt. We are always greeted with complimentary freshly baked bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar. Family and I have gone twice and tried a variety of their freshly made pasta dishes: -Capellini Tutto Mare -Capellini al Pomodoro -Linguine Tutto Mare -Linguine Carbonara -Butternut squash ravioli The sauces had lots of flavor- the tutto mare is our favorite!) and the pastas were very fresh, especially the butternut squash ravioli. Prices are a little high but what you would expect from a fresh pasta spot. Looks like a mom and pop place too so we love supporting them!

I loved my dining experience here! We came on a Friday evening with our family of 6. There was no wait and I probably didn't even need to reserve. We ordered 6 dishes plus 3 desserts and everything was tasty! The restaurant was not crowded. Everything was clean and tidy. It feels like a hole in the wall because you would not expect a fancy Italian restaurant in the back of the Dollar Tree store! My favorite dishes were the pork ossobuco and gnocchi. The pork ossobuco came on a bed of polenta and sauce that went perfectly well with the tender meat. My dad really liked the seafood pasta. Our kids loved the pizza and pasta. We enjoyed the ravioli but probably wouldn't order that again next time because I liked the other dishes better. We ordered a Caesar salad and that was very normal. We also ordered a bottle of wine to share since their wine menu pricing was extremely reasonable. For dessert, the tiramisu and cheesecake were both good. Our kids are all the icecream so that must have been good too, they didn't let me have a taste. ‍

    Happy hour available?

Yes them do have a happy hour

I have never been and hadn't heard about it. Would love to try. I am wondering if they have a lunch menu? Which is usual a little less money.

Yes, they are open for lunch, but I think it's the same as their dinner menu.Their prices are more than fair and the service is always top notched. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Gluten free options?

Yes.....They have fish always salmon and vegetables.

Another ordered a drink that was not great at all, sent it back.. only to be told that they do not take back drinks, but made an exception that time. However, if the drink is made wrong or disgusting.. there shouod be understanding around that. We ordered the bottomless Mimosas. It seemed like it was difficult to get a grenadine on the side because I had to constantly ask for it. We had to talk to the manager because our waitress was not consistent with the pouring of bottomless. We lost about 30 to 45 mins of time because of it. The manager understood and granted us more time. I also did not like that fact that our finished plate sat on the table way longer than what they should have. Maybe the waiter was overwhelmed or overworked.

Also on that list is trying every flavor of every gelato and sorbetto in pint sizes and bars before Summer's end. It is good to have life goals! This Hercules CA location is for their main office, not a retail storefront, but this HQ page is the only place I could think of to post my "Bravo" comments because my discovery of Naia was at Boise's Whole Foods. Happy surprise it is there given most of Naia's distribution is in Northern or Southern CA. Some flavors of both Naia sorbetto and gelato can be had in bar shapes and are displayed in a little freezer case. (In the Boise WF store it was near the coffee bar on the cusp of produce.) I note this same case, so it is Naia provided, in social media for other retailers and on Naia's FB page. Look for it at your retailer if they're in your area because the bar we chose, Recchiuti Burnt Caramel, was fantabulous for flavor and texture. And at only 150 calories in the bar it is guilt free to boot. (And yes, 'that Recchiuti' as in the famous SF located chocolatier and candy maker.) My Italian on both sides hubby thought it was delicious too and he is pretty-picky about gelato. I did peruse all the flavors of Naia pints in the freezer case in WF ice cream aisle but I had another errand after shopping and I knew my choices wouldn't stay frozen so I was going to leave empty handed. Then I literally said "yahoo" right out loud (seriously) when I saw the frozen bar little freezer display as I left produce for check out because a bar could be eaten in vehicle on the errand route. Next week's errand will be taking a cooler with ice packs in it to WF to load up one of each flavor to bring home along with a supply of different bars and park all in my home freezer to work my way through them between now and Labor Day. Who will judge? Life is short. PS If you're looking for retailers that sell Naia their map is here: https://www.gelaterianaia.com/wheretofind
