I spotted this cute little cafe while I was running errands and decided to stop by. Bibi cafe is a tiny little cafe with cute decor, pastries, and coffee. I wish I could give them a better review because the service was good and the cafe itself is adorable, but I was not a fan of the coffee I had. I had a cinnamon latte that was extremely grainy, burnt, and overall just not a great latte. It was around $9 for the latte with tip and seemed far too expensive for the quality that I received. read more

The place gas a woman that stomps up and down the stairs every 5-7 minutes. The coffee is made one time in the morning and is lukewarm warm by 11am. The breakfast sandwich had pre par cooked bacon ( 2 half slices) with an egg scrambled with a ton milk amd they forgot the cheese. The scones were not fresh. I had my service dog in there and let them know, then someone comes downstairs and asks me again if he was a service dog and then proceeds to talk about it with another co-worker in front of us. The level of noise from banging upstairs was worse than having construction. I mean LOUD we thought the ceiling was going to cave in. This place is cute and there is decent indoor and outdoor seating. The bathroom is clean. Those are the pluses. The menu online is not accurate, so keep that in mind. There are items there that they no longer have. My friend and I met there at 12:30 on Sunday and they had no more breakfast items available aside from some pastries. My friend ordered a Tomatina sandwich and I ordered the Bibi salad. I am vegetarian and there are not many options. They have a veggie burger, but when I asked what it's made of, the two people behind the counter did not know. I can't order something that mysterious. The sandwich came out and it was TINY. Like half the size of a sandwich and it was over $13. The salad arrived and it was so blah. A bowl of romaine, tomatoes, cukes, red peppers and carrots with a terrible oily dressing. We were so disappointed. The owner stopped by and asked how things were and we were polite, but honest. She seemed surprised and apologetic, but also didn't take responsibility for anything. Seemed annoyed that the help didn't know the ingredients of the veggie burger, said yes, they need to update the online menu, etc. But will anything change? This bakery is the definition of well-made baked goods. Whether it's the snickerdoodle or gingerbread cookies or banana bread, everything is very well-prepared and you can tell that the owner puts her all into everything made. The only disappointment is when you've finished your baked goods and you're left wanting for more. Would very much recommend to anyone in the mood for delicious baked snacks. read more

Lunch menu sandwiches "wraps" should be called "snack wraps" - there's nothing in it but a thin cut of chicken, a leaf of lettuce and some carrot shavings. Oh, and I love the intimidation to tip, as the owner turned the iPad screen around I placed my credit card in the slot it didn't process - as the owner started at me and then said you need to pick a tip amount to process payment..... Been driving by this place for the last 2 months and decided to stop in this morning. Got a egg and cheese and a cappuccino. Let's first talk about the egg and cheese. First it weighed 45 pounds. Once i opened it, surprise...homemade biscuit....did I mention HOMEMADE? And scrambled eggs. Not crappy frozen and microwave eggs you get at most places. The sandwich was so filling that I couldn't finish it. Did I mention the homemade biscuit? It was amazing. Can't wait for tomorrow. The cappuccino was also delicious. Albeit a smidge too hot but that just means it makes me drink it slower. It was the perfect combo of coffee, milk and foam. With a sprinkle of cinnamon. Now this was the perfect way to start my morning. Especially when lunch time isn't until 230 sometimes. read more

Fatine (proprietor) opened this bake shop years ago after finishing her undergrad and masters degree programs, when she realized baking was her passion in life. Her great grandmother Bibi influenced her with delicious treats as a young girl, and eventually with handed down recipes. Fatine humbly informed me "Bibi would be happy to know this bakery has her name". My wife and I stopped here on a weekend and enjoyed a few treats and iced coffees. Fatine told me the coffee is roasted by a close friend of hers, who comes from Florida to roast. She feels that like most everything at Bibi, this Florida connection is serendipitous. She believes that life, like baking itself, tends to just happen the way it's meant to, if you follow your passions. Adorable bakery. Decent parking space outside. Friendly people behind the counter. We ordered the veggie burger and soup of the day (tomato bisque) and ate it outside. The veggie burger was very large, and the soup came with hunks of focaccia and sourdough bread. Everything was utterly delicious. We then ordered a lemon bar, a ginger cookie, a chocolate chip cookie, and banana bread to take home. All the snacks were scrumptious, but the ginger cookie stood out -- it might be the best cookie I've tasted. read more

This place is a joy. We moved to Norwood from Boston and passed it by chance. It's so homey on the inside and the breakfast sandwich was amazing. Ive had the carrot cake squares here so 4 1/2 stars for that. But the egg breakfast sandwich was not worth $7. Way too much salt added and it was served on 2 squares of those small dinner rolls like u can get at the supermarket. Not terrible but about 2 1/2 stars for that read more

The carrot cake is moist and somewhat dense and combines well with the really smooth cream cheese frosting. The apricot current rugelah is a must try and they have an Chocolate Orange cake that is to die for. I've had the Turkey sandwich on Ciabatta and the chicken salad wrap. I prefer the turkey sandwich. After reading the reviews from yelp and Google, I was excited about ordering our baby reveal cake from Bibi's. When myself, my wife and my in-laws all took a bite of the cake, we were very disappointed. It was dry/tasteless and the frosting was not good. I ended up throwing out 3/4 quarters of the cake. Paying what we did for the cake and to be one that tasted like it was sitting around for days, I will not recommend them to any of my friends. read more

The proprietor, Fataneh Dowlatshahi, takes pride in offering healthy, wholesale fare with clean ingredients, attractively presented. You'll pay a little more, but for us it's worth it because (a) the food (pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups, and baguettes) and beverages (the Pomegranate lemonade) are so darn good and (b) we get to support a local businessperson who took the risk to start a business in a tough category, busts her butt to make it a good experience for customers, and takes pride in providing a good product. @Grady M. Really disappointed that on a Saturday at 11:00am, they had no muffins or bagels (though they had one scone) and the delicious looking egg and cheese biscuits featured in these pictures, no longer exist. The only bread they had was focaccia. I asked if there were other bread options and the answer was no. I'd give fewer stars due to the total lack of options, but I'm hoping once the world gets back to "normal", they'll have a better selection. read more

What happens when you feel invisible as a customer? What happens when you are waiting your turn politely, excited to try a local Cafe, look around and read the newspaper clippings on the wall, curious and eager to absorb the new space, wondering to yourself if there is a story behind George Rodrigue's Blue Dog paintings (or replicas?)..and the owner is restocking shelves and crosses you but doesn't say hello. What do you think? Maybe she's busy. Then another customer walks in. She gets immediate warmth and engagement. What do you think? Maybe she's a regular. Then you order and wait. And the conversation between owner and customer continues above your head. It's a little awkward. But you focus on your happy baby. Maybe they don't like that you brought a baby? Then you watch the other customer getting served a lemonade. Wait a minute. Is this happening to me? Where is my lemonade? Wasn't I first? So it's time to ask the server. "Oops sorry" she says, without a flinch of concern. I walk out with my husband and baby. And gasp for air. I didn't realize I was holding my breath as if bracing for a punch. What just happened? He looks at me and I don't even have to explain. He felt it too. Is it implicit bias? Is it racism? The other customer was white, we are youngish folks of color. Is it the suburbs? Would the owner and the server even know our experience was heavy and hurt? Unfortunately I don't think so. So I felt compelled to share it. Sorry I didn't tell you in person. I didn't so feel comfortable at the time. With all sincerity we know you didn't mean to look through us, over us and beyond us..I'm sure it was an accident. But I worry that's part of the problem: you may not be aware, we felt invisible and it hurt. We hope you don't mind us sharing our story. Bibi Cafe and Bakery is an adorable cottage like cafe with tasty treats and breakfast and lunch options. I did the mix and match combo for $10 with the chicken salad wrap and cream of barley soup, the soup was particularly delicious and highlighted the Persian influence of the good-natured owners. There are about 2-3 tables indoors and ~3 tables outside for seating, but watch out for bees in the beautiful flowers outside. read more

Unexpectedly good. Bibis is in a cute house on the main drag. Mostly sweets with some sandwiches, soups and a kids menu. Everything we had was good! I'm a coffee snob and liked their lattes - strong and full flavor. Great alternative to Starbucks. We ordered a kids grilled cheese, Thai veggie burger, and a GF blondie. Very satisfying.
