The check-in process was easy and smooth. I've been here once before, and my lash lift lasted over six weeks, which is why I came back and rebooked with Serenity again. I mentioned to Kailey that I didn't want that particular technician again and why. She told me she'd take note of it. The next time I went there (with a friend) she told me she remembered that I needed a "delicate touch," which I don't. Just a normal touch would be fine. She gave my friend the rough guy. My friend audibly gasped when he grabbed her ankle. Okayyyy, so it's not just me. Later I was talking about this experience to another friend and before I described the tech in question, she was able to do so. She knew exactly who he was, be cause she had had the same experience. Finally, this very last time I went there, Kailey joked with my friend that I was late (I was exactly on time), and then she AGAIN told my tech that I really needed a delicate touch. I said "Nope. Just normal, please. Been getting pedicures for 30 years and only ever complained about one tech." After the pedicure, while my friend payed her bill, I went to the restroom. I showed up and the place is like a salon with a few private rooms for lash extensions. I filled out the paperwork and was quickly escorted to a back room by a eyelash tech. She never asked me what kind of lashes I wanted, or how long I wanted them or anything -- I know now those should have been asked. I was totally new at this, so I didn't know what to expect (shame on me for not researching!). I laid down on a waxing bed for almost two hours, stiff paper under my eyes, closed with tweezers poking around (kind of nerve wracking!). After about the hour and a half mark, I got incredibly uncomfortable. I think that goes for anyplace you go....two hours is a long time to lay still on a table. Anylashes, she did ok....pricked me only a few times (which is amazing, do you see how small those tweezers are!??). When it was done, my lashes looked good, but they didn't look real. They totally looked fake - really long and too many lashes. She gave me some tips to keep them up, which would have been nice if the lashes held up like she said they would. My lashes constantly got tangled, pricked my eyes, sometimes when I closed my eyes, they would tangle and I would have to get in front of a mirror to untangle. I called about a week after dealing with this to see if this was normal, they said no and to come and they would fix. The woman who fixed them was really nice and did a great job fixing them, however, they were still incredibly long and just to much! I really wanted these to work, but after my second fill and my eye lids now starting to swell from all the constant untangling and brushing, I went to another lash place and had them taken off. I never got any complements on my lashes either, if anything sometimes I got funny looks like "who is this girl kidding with those lashes!". I dunno what to tell you, there were lots of people getting lashes done the times I was there, but maybe they were Groupon-ers too?! After getting my lashes fixed twice, I just couldn't pony up the $65 (every 3 weeks) for a mediocre fill any longer....part of me thinks I might have had a better experience had I been asked what kind of lashes I wanted in the beginning....
