Visiting OKC and love the food here. Ranks among top Persian restaurants that my family and I frequent in Los Angeles.

I'll start this off with the food is outstanding. Walking in it's a little odd because it's like you're having dinner in the Apple Store. Very stark lighting, virtually no atmosphere. That said, the food, which I would describe as more middle eastern than Mediterranean (despite serving a kind of deconstructed gyro) is great. It doesn't come out fast because, based on my ability to see into the back to a pretty rudimentary kitchen, it appears that Bibi is a very sweet grandmother that knows how to cook like nobody's business, and she does it all on her own. It also appears that her husband is the sole member of the wait staff. And that's all fine because, unfortunately, it wasn't busy. But they are in desperate need of a kitchen makeover episode on the Food Network. Would I go again for the food, absolutely. Very traditional baklava as well. read more

Hate to change my review and I've been coming here every month when I'm in OKC but I won't be back after today. First and foremost all the tables were dirty and I never saw them get cleaned once even as people left. The owner watched me trying to wipe stuck food off a table and I thought he would bring a wet towel or something but nope. I could get over this but when I went to pay, and I didn't catch it u til after I left but I ordered the lunch special which clearly says $10.99 on the window but he charged me $12.99 for it. I also tipped $2 on top of that. I wished I had caught the overcharge at the time but I just won't come back now. read more

Delicious and affordable place for lunch, has a cozy vibe, and the family who owns it is very kind. We tried the lamb Gyros and the Dolmas (which practically had us licking the plate they came on) . The chef was so friendly, everything tasted incredible, and the ambiance of the restaurant was very comfortable. My husband and i ate here on a whim because we love mediterranian food and didnt want to go far from home. We left feeling like Bibi's will be our go-to meditterane an from now on. 10/10 delicious food, if I could give it more stars I would!!! Thanks again , we'll be back! I ordered the lamb and beef gyro plate and added a Persian salad. The food was ok. Nothing special. Solid 3. Service was great and the ambiance is "Basic". They got mall space and put tables all around the edges. You can easily imagine it not there. The couple that own the place are nice. It would have been nice to see the Gyro on a bed of rice...but no. I will probably look elsewhere. read more

Kubedieh kabobs are the best we've had in Oklahoma City. Made with beef & lamb so they are very moist.

It's a very small place. Kind of like visiting a friends kitchen. We were the only customers on a Friday night so our service was very good. The food was also very tasty. The only weird thing was they would not give you a glass of water. You have to buy a bottle of water to drink. read more

A wonderful recommendation by my friend Andy who loves coming here whenever he's in town. Since he married a Turkish woman he considers himself a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to kebabs and all things Mediterranean. Lucky for me it happened that we were both in town the same week and he said "Bud! You gotta try this place out!" Located in a strip mall BiBi is modestly decorated with no fancy over the top Persian or middle eastern artsy crafts adorning the walls or ceilings, The decorum is plain, but clean. The prices are Amazing but coming and living in NYC everything here is cheaper in comparison. The food is prepared fresh and once you place your order you have to be patient since the place is run by a husband and wife cooking team who also double as the servers. I ordered the Koobideh salad and my friends the classic gyro platter with rice and chicken gyro sandwich with fries. The Koobideh was seasoned well, tasty and very fork tender. The salad was refreshing and came with black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and crumbled feta. I loved the warm and soft pita as well. I had a piece of my buddy's beef/lamb gyro and it was delicious and moist as the pieces were all sliced thin. The French fries were surprisingly quite good. They were light, airy, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. They also have crushed sumac at the table if you want to add a little more pizzazz to your meal. I washed everything down with a yogurt drink or as some call it Doogh. This version is salty and crushed cardamom and mint is sprinkled on top and when mixed together makes for a refreshing drink. I couldn't leave without having dessert so I had a slice of baklava and a cup of tea which was the perfect way to end the meal. Thanks Andy for the recommendation. My son & I had a lovely lunch: he had the chicken and shish kabob and dolma, I had a gyro. All of the food tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant was quiet when we went (but we were having a very late lunch). The man who served us was very nice and checked on us just the right amount. The only "negatives" would be that the decor was kind of 80s and the cost was a bit much, but those are minor points - the food here is definitely the star! read more

Oh my word, the vegetable soup is amazing. It is so full of flavor and has some type of grain in it and it's so good. I'm absolutely a fan of this place. It has barley, mushrooms and who knows what else, but I'm adding barley to my shipping list. It thickened the soup in a lovely way and made it warm and toasty. When I came in I realized I was in a Mediterranean "diner" but the owners made me feel so welcome. I felt like they were serving me in their home. They were so welcoming and friendly. I ordered hot tea and they brought me cookies, Graham crackers and a variety of sweeteners. This just added to feeling like I was a guest and not just a customer. I also ordered dolmas. I loved that they served them warm. Some places serve them cold, but warm is so much nicer. The falafel was good too, and I've decided I need to start making this at home since I have all of the ingredients. Mr eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. read more

Well, we are stuck in OKC for days because of hurricane Laura making a mess out of our Houston base operations, so I decided to take a walk and try this place out. It's a small mom and pop business which is normally the ones I like the most. I got there and was treated politely, and they said they weren't seeing much business during this COVID-19 stuff, and it made me sad since small business is the backbone of our country. So, I tried the beef gyro and fries out and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel I couldn't be any happier that I chose this fine establishment over the other I was contemplating! I thought I'd asked for the rice, but got their squiggly fries and they were perfectly done (and I don't usually like those type of fries. I'm picky), and plenty of ketchup for them as well even if they didn't need them. Now, onto the gyro... no words other than wow! Packed full of flavor, fresh veggies, and the flavor of the meat was perfection! Try these guys out and bring friends to support our local small businesses and keep tax money where it belongs, in Oklahoma. It isn't fancy but it is great food, and the owners were very kind. read more

I was staying at a hotel close to the restaurant and looking for something quick (carry out) but not fast food. I noticed BiBi has a "4 Star" rating, unfortunately I would rate lower. Service was good, however the food was just "OK". I opted for the Greek Salad and Gyro sandwich. The salad was very basic and the sandwich was OK, but not great. Would not go back. read more

3 stars for the wonderful customer service but their kabobs were not tasty. I ordered the Beef Koobedieh lunch combo ($12). It came with a cup of soup, rice, 2 beef koobedieh kabobs, onion and pickle slices. The beef koobedieh was sweet and very mushy where when I barely pressed my fork on it, the super soft meat was able to go in between the fork. However, the rice, tomatoes and pickles were yummy..... The food is amazing. The kabob meal tasted great! Love Bibi's corn. The Persian salad is so fresh and delicious. The gyro is good but I don't like lettuce or pickles. Tzatiki sauce (excuse my spelling) on the side is best but it is very good! If you order a kabob meal you will not get the mushroom soup that comes with unless you're in restaurant maybe but the delivery it go is a better experience because the ambience leaves a lot desired. Also the baklava is pretty tasty as well. If they aren't getting a lot of business maybe change it to go only or fix up the inside to where people feel invited. read more

We were in town this weekend for a Regatta and was craving Greek/Mediterranean food. This place came highly rated on Google. We ordered the Kubaideh(Kefta) plate, Chicken and Kubaideh(Kefta) Combo and Gyro plate and all three were delicious. Seeing previous reviews in regards to the lamb shank, I ordered it. It was pretty good. I ordered it with the flavored rice (dill). I also ordered falafel and that was tasty. Seeing as to how good everything was, I ordered hummus and baklava. Those were also pretty good. For all of that, and a soft drink, my bill was $32.00. I have a lot of left overs. Portions are pretty good. The restaurant was clean and neat. Even the bathroom was clean. The family/staff were friendly and courteous-the moment you walk in. The restaurant gave a complimentary soup too, and that was delicious. I loved the overall experience. read more

Wow...was I disappointed! It had great reviews and smelled amazing when I walked in! But the final product was under seasoned and man was I surprised when my gyro had sautéed onions and peppers?! Did I order a Philly cheesesteak and forget?! Also, no red onion and the tzatziki was lacking flavor. Good gyro salad was great fresh ingredients. The meat seems to be pre cut not freshly cut like you get at Akropolis but it was still good. They close for a month in August but open back up the place was very empty but the food and service was amazing it looks like a family business it had a simple but peaceful atmosphere. When sending food for delivery, please include plenty of cutlery, napkins, salt & pepper; especially when you can see by the address that food is being delivered to a hotel. Okay, maybe this is as good as you get in OKC. Certainly better than the Middle Eastern place I tried a couple trips ago in Moore, OK, but this was just okay. The rice was fine - not good, not bad. It was not as tender as it should be, but it was okay. I had both the beef kabob and the ground beef kabob. The beef was a little chewy for the most part. The ground beef was fine, but certainly nothing memorable. One weird thing is that I asked for some grilled onion. Usually, Mediterranean restaurants give you a nice charred chunk of onion. They sauteed the onions here. Like I said, weird, but I didn't factor it into the grade. I guess this might be as good as it gets in OKC for this kind of fare. If so, I will just not eat it here when on business. The owner and his wife were nice, and the restaurant, although in a semi-sketchy part of town, was relatively clean on the inside. read more
