I wasn't sure what the prices would be for hookah but they range from about $16-$20 which I feel like it's pretty reasonable. We really like the wings and the gyro plate was very tasty. We stopped here to watch the World Cup games as they have TVs everywhere. I went back to one of the long-standing Mediterranean restaurants in NW OKC. I have visited this place for nearly 20 years and have seen it change its offerings to patrons several times. The latest remodel works well. The place feels welcoming and open, and the addition of the side dining area is a plus. A downside is that it is consistently understaffed, which makes the service quite spotty. I recommend trying their mint lemonade with either their Gyro supreme or the Kufta Kabob. However, they have abandoned some of the earlier fresher preparations for their salads, and now it's just a vinegary grab out of a bag, so I wouldn't recommend going down that road. Still, the authentic flavors that made Joseph's spot a city classic are still there. If you love Middle Eastern cuisine, make sure to try it! read more

Can't believe I am saying this but Zamzam Mediterranean Grill might be my favorite Mediterranean restaurant based on one item, KABOB. Kabob is one of my favorite items at a Mediterranean restaurant. Kabob is roasted meat that originates from Middle Eastern culture. While the traditional meat is lamb, my favorite is beef or chicken. Zamzam has kabobs that taste amazing to me. The key difference is at Zamzam, the kabobs are MOIST, not dry like at other places. Zamzam gives generous portion size. The kabob sampler comes with 3 kabobs, one of each kind. The entree comes with pita bread and 2 choice of sides. Pita bread and the sides are not the best feature. I would trade them all in for 2 more kabobs. There's also a hookah lounge in the other half of the restaurant. Luckily, the non hookah half always has plenty of seatings available. read more

We had dinner tonight at ZamZam. We arrived early around 5:30 and there were only a few others in there so I hoped it was good. Boy was it. The tabouli was the absolute best I have ever had. I had the Gyro Dinner and my partner had the Gyro bowl. Both were delicious and we couldn't finish either so lunch tomorrow. The Mediterranean food here is off the charts. They also have this excellent tamarind tea drink as well. I got the butter chicken, hummus with gyro, cheese pita and an amazing dessert called knafe - which has a consistency of baked cheese and is sweet & salty - topped with ice cream. Exceptional service by both the waiter and cashier who refilled that tamarind drink. Also interior decor is cool - they have a more stylish room deeper in where you can hang out. My first time trying Zamzam was here at the Warr Acres location and I loved it so much that I was thrilled when they opened one closer to me! I ordered the gyro with grape leaves and greek salad, my friend ordered the beef kabobs, and we split the chicken hummus appetizer and mint lemonade (sooo refreshing and yummy, you must get it!). Their date cake is also divine and a perfect way to end your meal. Everything was beyond delicious and we both left feeling very satisfied. Our servers were really sweet and attentive. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy and charming and somehow you can just tell the food is going to be delicious right when you walk in. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by two friendly gals and asked what I would like. I was thrown off as I am not accustomed to such good customer service. I'm sure most of us may know, good customer service is exceptionally rare. Anyway, I ordered knafeh, which is hard to find anywhere, and the spicy potatoes. Oh my goodness. They have a hookah bar. While I waited, I got a hookah (watermelon mint). Good Arabic music and hookah. Felt at home. The potatoes were delicious. The knafeh was okay. I know because I had them twice: once going down and once going up. A few hours later, I had food poisoning so bad I had to go to the ER. I initially gave this place a 5/5 stars. After my horrible food poisoning experience, I had to retract that. I knew it was too good to be true. I'm sure they can make food that won't make you throw up your soul. Our typical go to for Mediterranean has been either CousCous or Basil but decided to get ZamZam cause it's a little closer. Decided to get their Mixed Grill plate so we could try some of the different meats they had to offer. Their rice is very deliciously seasoned. The meats, so tender and flavorful! I couldn't decide which one was better between the beef kabob, Sheesh kabob and chicken kabob cause they were all so good! The hummus was also delicious and rounded out the meal. When I usually dine it, it's always been a great experience especially with the offerings they have for hookah too. Lots of space for smokers and non smokers so well worth a visit. Got a gyro wrap for lunch, and it came with side of baba ganoush, two pickled cauliflowers, and two pieces of pita -- all for around $9. It was a decent size for me being pretty hungry, but it wouldn't fill up my husband for lunch. The gyro wrap was good. The meat was tender and flavorful, but a little salty. I felt like they were being fairly generous with the amount of meat they put in the wrap! The pita bread wrapped around the gyro was pretty greasy unfortunately, especially at the bottom, and I would have loved a few more pickles. The baba ganoush was okay -- I wish it was more smokey, and I felt like the portion size was on the small size. I asked for a side of garlic sauce, and it was good! Not the most garlicky I've had, but it definitely added to the wrap. I would recommend getting that! Overall, this place was pretty good! I was very hungry, so I devoured the whole thing, and while I might make a few suggestions, I was happy with the meal I received. read more

The thing that makes this place special to me is that is it one of the only places that sells kanafa in okc. The way they make it is is pretty close to the traditional way. It's a really good desert. A year ago? Loved it. Dined in today and was no longer impressed. The spicy potatoes have changed and looks like cut up French fries drenched in buffalo wing sauce. It used to be crispy large pieces with spices. Our meals were fine but the salads weren't as fresh as before and my rice was very wet for some reason. I saw that they had La Baguette chocolate mousse cake, which is my favorite but when it arrived, it was obviously old and had been refrigerated for so long that the cake was dry and the mousse was discolored. Again it's my favorite cake and I buy it often from La Baguette so I know what it's supposed to look like. Service was fine and attentive. The place could use a spruce up. There were dirty tables and trash on the floor when we arrived around dinner time and we were the only people there. No one came to clean the other tables or trash until we were done with our meal. Food cost has increased too significantly to continue putting up with restaurants who serve low quality food. read more
