Great food, great owners, and great staff! I normally get a a beef shawarma to go and it never disappoints.

I got the combo (beef and chicken). The taste of the meats and condiments were delicious.. I particularly liked the garlic sauce with the French fries! I would have preferred some greenery when I made a Gyro with my pita bread and meat. My only issue is the practice of using styrofoam and plastics for order, whether in-house or takeout!. I know there are cardboard-based takeout boxes. read more

This is an incredible mediterranean restaurant. The flavor of the food is incredible and the staff is extremely friendly. I ordered a beef kafta platter, which included rice and grilled vegetables. The kafta was seasoned perfectly and had great flavor, the rice had incredible flavor and tasted delicious, and the vegetables were excellent. The portion size of my meal was very large, it was a lot of food for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

While working in the area, my coworker and I was in search of good food. I was craving Mediterranean and by divine intervention, we pulled into the parking lot to visit another business and saw this place. The name caught my eye immediately. After we finished discussing business down the street, we went back to park in front of Sisters Mediterranean. I'm glad we chose this spot. After walking in, I noticed how pristine is was inside. Although, I didn't smell any aromas coming out of the kitchen. I became suspicious and quickly went to Yelp. I confirmed that the reviews were solid. Well, let's eat, were my thoughts. I settled on a combo meal, which included chicken and beef. I chose the Kafta ombo with no fries and a bottled water. Everything was under $15. The food was plentiful. I was satisfied with my choice. I had two pieces of chicken kafta and 2 beef, with hummus, pita and houmos belela, which is basically chickpeas. Even the sauce was good. They really know how to pack a combo together. The lady behind the counter gave me extra chickpeas since I opted not to get the fries. She offered rice, but I declined. You can tell when food is really good because everyone is quiet. My coworker and I was quiet for the first 5 minutes. We both really enjoyed our meal. I'm sure I'll be back it the area for work. Next time, I'll try the Shawarma. I really liked what I had. I'm sure the Shawarma will be just as good. read more

We needed to be in Norman and decided to have lunch there rather than way up here, so we searched for someplace interesting. We came up with Sisters Mediterranean Taste - an excellent choice on our part. The food was freshly prepared. We sat where I could see the kitchen and they worked well together in preparing the food. I was delighted to see them sampling it to make sure it was right and adjusting the seasoning. I felt like I was almost at home (had I actually been at home, I'd have been stirring pots and mashing garbanzos and garlic, kneading dough, and chatting away). When the food came out, it was so good. My companion had a sandwich (I forget which one - #3 on the menu) and she loved it, ate every nibble. I had the kafta combo - SO MUCH FOOD! It came with four enormous kafta, 2 large pitas, houmas balela (whole garbanzo hummus), and fries, plus tzatziki and sour cream. I could only eat 1 kafta and 1 pita, with the tzatziki and some fries, and had to take the rest home. There was so much that I divided it up into 3 more meals - I added a cucumber/tomato salad for one, and tabbouleh for one, and a creamy hummus with the whole garbanzo hummus stirred in. The sisters running the restaurant were delightful and charming, and I hope they stay in business a long, long time so when I make it back to Norman, they will be there so I can try a different dish. I really wanted to like this place. I'm a fan of many of the food items on their menu and they are very close to my house, so it should be perfect. Unfortunately neither my wife or I liked the flavor of any of the dishes. We even went back a second time to give them another shot and try other dishes. Still no hits. The meals are NOT cheap... so "okay" is just not good enough. This could be a matter of personal taste. I dunno. For my money, Cafe Saffron offers many of the same dishes and they are all excellent with far more pleasing flavors and comparable prices. If you really like this kind of cuisine, I'd suggest you try your favorite dish at both places and make up your own mind. read more

We wanted to try a different place for Mediterranean food. We walked in and we were greeted warmly by the lady at the counter. We ordered and she took our small modifications with no complaints. We took a seat and waited on our food. There were only three employees in the establishment. They were all wearing masks and the tables in the restaurant were properly distanced. The food did take a while to come out but when it did it was freshly cooked. The fragrance was amazing. We both really enjoyed there food. My shish kabob had very unique flavors. My husband said his meat was also really great and tasted marinated. The hummus was some of the best we have ever had. We would highly recommend this place and we can't wait to come back. read more

I ordered their falafel sandwich meal (which included a side of hummus, 2 pieces of WARMED pita, and 1 can of soda). The falafels had great flavor, but I felt the sandwich had a bit too much tahini. I would have preferred a tzatziki sauce instead. I really appreciated that they warmed their pita bread though, and the hummus-- OH MY GOODNESS. They use GOOD olive oil! I could immediately taste the extra virgin olive oil in it, and I loved it. It is thicker than Arabic-style hummus, but I really enjoyed it. The women that were working the front also seemed kind. The Kafta Beef Sandwich was amazing! One try and I'm declaring this as one of my favorite Norman eateries! The sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and filling. I opted for the jalapeños peppers which were pickled and not very hot, but added nicely to the sandwich. The side hummus was very good and came with half a piece of toasted pita bread (next time I'm ordering an extra piece of bread). Prices are very reasonable (see photo of menu). I'm tempted to try the chicken, but the beef is so good it may have to wait. I will very definitely be back for more! The sign by the door says take out only, but there are about 5 stools in front of a counter one could eat at if needed. They do have a drive-through window. read more

Really good food! And their new location not only allows for dine-in, it is much more convenient for us! I am a meat eater, but not when I come here - their vegetarian options are just irresistible! Yesterday, I ordered #13, the Falafel Meal, which comes with tabouli, houmos, pita bread, special sauce, and a drink. It also comes with fries, but they generously allowed me to sub the fries for baba ghanoush (my absolute favorite menu item). This is A LOT of food! I did finish the falafel, since it doesn't keep as well as the rest, but have another meal in the fridge at the moment. I am so glad this little business has survived and am really excited about their 12th and Lindsey location! read more

I've been coming to Sisters for years and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Norman. I get the Chicken Kafta which is always fresh. Sometimes a little heavy with onions but I don't mind. The hummus is outstanding. I'm not sure which olive oil they use but it's crave-worthy. I feel fortunate to have this diversity of food in OK and I go out of my way to support this woman-owned business. read more

Oh my goodness, what an unexpected find! A special, simply wonderful Lebanese restaurant attached to a 7-11 in Norman, Oklahoma! Two lovely sisters of Lebanese heritage, after having lived in Dubai for 30 years, relocated to Norman and decided to become restaurateurs. They know their stuff, that's for sure, and the food was divine. My dining companion and I had chicken shawarma pita sandwiches that were piping hot, flavorful, and adorned with a garlic mayo sauce that was a perfect complement. We also had sides of yummy hummus, baba ganoush and tabouli. All top notch! One of the sisters, Sylvie, proudly let us know that they were moving to a larger, better location in August. Yes I went there last night for gyros from our daughter and I and got home and found out the gyro meat was not actually real gyro made I was shorted all of my pita bread to make the gyros that is the worst food I have ever eaten in my entire life if you really want to get a real gyro the best place to go is Greek House in Norman they actually have real Greek food and real gyros I would not recommend this place to anybody and I would never eat there again!!! read more

For a long time I didn't know what to make of shawarma, and then The Avengers celebrated defeating Loki with a round of these Mediterranean sandwiches and I knew it was time to investigate. My wife was something of an expert on the subject and suggested I start by visiting Sister's, I haven't missed picking up a Saturday lunch from here since (9 week streak). This restaurant serves delicious food! I've been coming here for about 3-4 years now. I moved from Norman and live in OKC now and travel to Norman at least 2 times a month just to eat here. I've never gotten anything I didn't like and the food is consistently good! I usually go for the kabob with rice - their chicken and beef kabobs are very well-seasoned and juicy. Their yogurt sauce and garlic sauce are out of this world! Not only is the food great every time, so are the ladies that work there. They are delightful. I highly recommend eating here! read more

So rude. I ordered a combo gyro meal. I asked to add French fries to my meal and a side of garlic mayo because I didn't want the humus, pita bread, or soda that it came with. She approved. When I got my order there was no sauce or fries. I asked if I could have them (people make mistakes) The lady said, "No, I think that's enough food for you." I replied with, "I'm sharing this with a friend, may I at least please order some fries?" (Just in case they didn't allow substitutions). She then again said, "No, go eat this and come back another time for fries. That's enough food for you." ... She wouldn't even allow me to order them when I asked to pay. She asked me what drink I wanted, "I'll have a Sprite, I guess." ... she hands me a Pepsi. :/ It was very embarrassing, because there were other customers in the area. This unassuming 7-Eleven corner restaurant is a truly legitimate mediterranean (shawarma, kafta, greek salads) lunch staple in Norman. The two sisters of Lebanese heritage who run the place will prepare your shawarma with white or whole wheat pita bread and the tabouli, hummus, and tahini sauce are all special and worth every peso. A shawarma will set you back about $7 and will fill you up just fine but many order the shawarma combo that comes with a drink, fries, hummus, and tabouli salad and it's a bit over $10. Overall, perfect place to grab some quick homemade and healthy(ish) to-go lunch in Norman, especially on this side of town which has limited options. read more

Cool little place next-door to 7-Eleven on South Chautauqua, just north of Highway 9. Primarily a carry out place but they do have a couple tables inside. I would give my review on the food, but I barely made it through the door when the owner approached me and told me I needed to leave because I had my service dog with me.
