I came in today expecting my normal bibibop experience but I was surprised to see many changes to the options. I tried all of the new vegan ones along with my other usual choices. When we got to the sauces I was very pleased to see the gochujang sauce was back! The pairing of the turmeric rice, curry chickpeas, and gochujang sauce is was an extra delicious base for the other flavors and toppings to dance on top of. These changes have totally leveled up my perception of this place. The miso soup is usually hit or miss, but today it was excellent. The label says it's new and improved so I wonder if they have hammered out some inconsistencies with it. If you haven't been to bibibop in a while, I would urge you to consider coming back soon; it's a different experience. One thing I'm noticing as I'm finishing my meal is a strong, lingering taste of raw garlic deep in my mouth. I can't pinpoint what topping it came from but it wasn't unpleasant during the meal. I'm also a huge fan of garlic so it doesn't really bother me. I hope this review might shine some light on that so it can get addressed and improved. First time at this location. A but of a wait near noon on a weekday. Friendly and efficient service though. I got Korean beef, double meat, with primrose rice and assorted veggies. Gochujang sauce and Kimchee, still not super hot. But filling, and tasty. Reasonable price, reasonably healthy, pretty flavorful, and reasonably fast. Not really Korean, but Asianish. Free miso, good not great, and a nice assortment of flavored teas. I'm sure I'll be back when I need a quick lunch. read more

I liked the food enough to tolerate the bad service but no more. Last night the staff almost seemed irritated that there were customers in the place. I have read the other Yelp reviews and thought I would try it since it was near where I was shopping. Clearly posted menu of choices you can use to build your bowl, which does come in 2 sizes. Bottom of bowl - white or purple rice, noodles or salad. Hot toppings - potatoes, Bean sprouts, Black beans Protein - chicken, steak, or tofu Cold toppings - lettuce, corn, kale, daikon, cucumber, carrot, cheese, or eggs. Sauce- yum yum, teriyaki, Korean Red, cucumber wasabi, sesame ginger, and spicy Sriracha. I got small bowl with noodles, bean sprouts, chicken, and carrots. Thought about eggs, but didn't. Sesame Ginger sauce. Miso soup was a free side, but it was worth what you paid for it - too salty and lack of tofu. One size of drinks. Besides the noodles being cold, never had them that way, not bad for Asian fast food. Glad I tried it, but will use my calories in more traditional Asian place. My first experience with BIBIBOP was last year at a work event where a buffet of the various bowl fixings were available so I was a bit spoiled in customizing my bowl (lots of kale and lots of chicken is my "jam") but I will admit visiting the restaurant "live" is a lot more fun. If you are watching your nutrition, this is a very nice option. Namely, all of the foods available for the bowl are what I would consider "whole foods" and not processed. Game is over in the realm of sauces - but that can be skipped if you prefer. Who will enjoy Bibibop: anyone who enjoys asian food but also anyone who is vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-free can indulge safely here. 3 sauces are vegan; 3 sauces are gluten-free; one (sesame-ginger) is both vegan and gluten-free. Protein choices are also available - steak is gluten-free and the tofu is both gluten-free and vegan. The chicken and spicy chicken both contain gluten, so be aware if you are ordering for a group or someone with gluten allergy or sensitivity. I have a specific formula for my "perfect bowl": + half white, half purple rice (will convert to salad instead with lettuce if I'm too high on my carb count for the day) + organic tofu or chicken + (hot toppings): black beans and potatoes + (cold toppings): carrot, lettuce, sesame kale (I ask for double/triple) ... I will vary additional items and add daikon and cabbage if I'm in the mood and definitely if it is a salad. I do like the combination of egg, potato and rice so that has been a choice as well. You can't really go wrong with any combination - get what you like; you won't be sorry. The best part about eating "in" or picking up yourself is you can fill small containers with the sauce(s) of your choice. I like to use sesame-ginger on the entire bowl and have a small amount of the less healthy (but so worth the negative equity) "Yum Yum" sauce. There is something so delightfully comforting with a forkful of mixed rice, potato, kale and whatever else I can snag onto my tong. I love food. I've reached an age where eating is even more enjoyable when I feel good about what I'm eating and feel great hours later. Bibibop is a place where I can secure feeling great, easily. read more

I'm super late to the game because this is my first time trying Bibibop. It was pretty fresh and tasty. I got the spicy chicken with white rice, carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts, corn and cucumbers. Topped it off with their teriyaki sauce. What I really loved was the sauce bar and free miso soup. Great on a cloudy, rainy day like yesterday. The spicy chicken didn't seem actually that spicy to me so I'd be interested in trying the regular chicken to see the difference. Overall I'm glad I finally tried this place out. I've been eating here quite a bit lately and it's become one of my go to lunch spots! I always get the spicy chicken with purple rice! I change the other add ins from time to time but I really don't think I will like anything as much as what I've found so far! The sauces are great! I love the yum yum and siracha so I mix both! The free miso soup is a added bonus! The price point is terrific!! It's one of the only places that you can get a filling meal under $7 that is this healthy.. My first time at this location was for dinner on Thanksgiving Eve so there wasn't a wait at all. Staff members were pleasant. Restaurant appeared clean. Not sure how long they've had the free miso soup. It's with the drinks and is a help yourself situation. Portions were generous. Hot food was warm and cold food was cold. The only drawback is the extra sauces. They are located on the right side of the drinks (like the other locations) which is close to the register. Delicious and quick. I love how customizable and fresh everything is. One issue that has me confused is the nutrition information they provide on their website. They indicate that the steak is 10g of carbs per 4oz and the chicken (not the spicy, just regular) is 13g of carbs per 4oz. Certainly that's a mistake because even if marinated, there's no way a marinade would add THAT many carbs to meat. As I'm trying to stay fairly low in carbs, I'm hoping to get this clarified (have submitted a question via the website) before going back. Food is great and the service is as good as it can be when you can't hear what they're saying. THE MUSIC IS WAAAAAAAY TOO LOUD and I'm a 20 year old who enjoys concerts. But not while I'm eating lunch. Don't come here expecting to have a conversation with a friend because you can't even hear yourself think, and 50% of the time they mess up my order because they can't hear what I'm saying. I don't normally give five stars for a casual fast restaurant, but this place continues to impress. I have now visited twice and I love the Chipotle style ordering. They could be lying but the food seems as advertised. Fresh and healthy. That being said, you can easily eat unhealthy here but this place makes it easy to keep your vegetables up and your calories down. That also do it with speed and efficiency. The food was fresh and healthy, the employees were friendly and guests are greeted with a sincere and cheerful "welcome to Bibibop!" from the moment you enter the cue. The food is assembled similar to a Chipolte experience (only much friendlier and healthier), you pick your base and custom build with colorful fresh vegetables and delicious protein choices make a combo with vitamin water, fresh lemonade or green tea. After eating here several times, I've decided to give this location 5 stars. I love it here! The staff is unbelievably friendly. They are also knowledgeable about food allergies! I have celiac disease and a dairy intolerance so finding an easy food place can be difficult. There are several gluten free items here! It's also an easy way to get some of your veggies in for the day. The restaurant itself is in a nice area; it's right around the corner from Target and other fun stores. It's also clean! I usually don't like eating in places like that; I prefer to get it to-go. However, here, I felt like I was at any other cute, trendy place. It was so clean and it smelled good. Yum yum!!! (Pun most definitely intended) This is a wonderful little restaurant! It was my first time, and the person serving us was very helpful in answering all my questions. The purple rice was delicious, the steak and chicken were extremely tender and flavorful, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and all the sauces were fantastic except for the Korean Red, which just wasn't my bag. The price was extremely reasonable as well, especially considering I left there with my belly feeling very satisfied. The only downside is the bandwagon claims that are so popular these days about the overstated benefits of some of the ingredients (antioxidants and whatnot). Any food that should be hot was this time, the staff answered my questions better, I asked many questions to make sure what it is and they offered me samples of their sauces this time. I bought steak, potatoes, rice, kale, lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber and teriyaki in a bowl instead of a wrap. My first taste was a wrap and I think the wrap doesn't work with Asian style food. Bean sprouts are cooked hot but wasn't by the time I ate it. The potatoes was still hot but they don't use butter or American oils to cook it in so don't expect traditional American fried buttered potatoes. The teriyaki sauce was great. I didn't care for the Korean red sauce but that is me. The vegetables are fresh and taste great. It was better than my first visit and nice serving size but this is not my favorite place. This place has amazingly friendly staff and customer service always goes a very long way in my book. If a place has great service it usually means I will return even if some other things are phenomenal. This is our first time to this particular location and I'm very impressed. We came in after a tournament with tired crazy kids and the staff was super patient. Kudos to Shwin for being extremely courteous and actually listening where we he was filling our bowls. The manager DaShonda was just as courteous and had a smile on her face the whole time. They were both very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Even making sure everything was good after we were done. They definitely made this a wonderful visit!!! Other points just to get them out there: There is no parking right out front but you can park on the side of the building by Starbucks or there are is plenty of other nearby parking. The seating areas are kind of divided but we still found good seating for our party of five. The place was clean and everything was stocked well. This place is amazing! It is a hidden gem in the Graceland Shopping Center. This store has been my first (and only) introduction to the Asian Chipotle concept, which I will say far surpasses anything you can get at Chipotle. The store is open, airy, and clean; lots of windows, white tables, and a very chill vibe. No establishment can be great however without an amazing staff. This staff fits the bill. They are knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and patient. I had lots of questions on my first visit, and they made me feel very comfortable. I know you can always have one good (or one bad) experience at a restaurant, and that is not enough to make a definite judgment. Today I made my second visit there, and it was just as good as the first, even better because today I remembered to partake of the free miso soup that is available to all customers.
