I ordered the new rice krispy treat with added cornflakes and butterscotch chips. It was really sickening sweet. I really prefer the plain rice krispy treat with just marshmallows. Never again! The place endangers the safety of customers with allergies and makes the worst chicken noodle soup ever. Whole waiting for my order I watched a cook with a half dozen skillets in front of him. He would prepare a dish, place it onto the customer's plate, scrape down the skillet with a spatula, then return it to the stove. It wasn't wiped or cleaned in any way. Then he reused it! Not only is this extremely unhygienic but poses a serious safety risk for customers who may have allergies. If it were just one time maybe I'd drive it off as a mistake, but I watched it happen twice! As for what I ordered, their version of chicken noodle soup tastes like store bought broth that They add noodles and veggies to. The chicken itself, however, made It worse. It's a thin cutlet that they grill then chop up into awkwardly sized pieces that are just dropped in. It looks like chicken you'd get on a sandwich. Had to remove it for being too dry and not fitting on the spoon. The texture was rough and wasn't what you want in a soup. The staff were nice enough, thus the one star. The good and the bad with national chains is that you pretty much know what you're in for. All locations usually taste very similar. It's often the same decor with the same menu and the same personalities with different names. Here's a shocker. The N&C we visited in San Jose is much different than the one we were at today. If it weren't for familiar items on the menu and some shared decor (logos, etc.), we'd swear they were independent of each other. Even the location in metro Detroit tasted different. While I'm not a huge fan, we keep trying them out. This store is one of the tops. The flavours are tasty and the selection seems a bit more vast. The service was very fast and accurate. Dependable. Super solid Noodles & Company. They're always on top of orders, and we've come to easily rely on this place to always have made-to-recipe dishes. They're always reliably the same. Interior is clean, bathrooms have always been clean, and all of the items (straws, lids, chopsticks, etc.) are always replenished enough to grab and go. They have their own parking lot, and there are always spaces, so parking is easy. Zero complaints about this location. This is a great option for fast casual food with an international flair. The inside has a cool and modern interior with international and noodle-themed decoration throughout that's understated and classy. There is a small drink station with a Coca Cola freestyle machine for tons of flavor combinations. The menu contains numerous noodle-based dishes with tons of customization options. There are numerous protein choices (grilled chicken, crispy chicken, meatballs, etc). There are also some starter choices and salads as well. Tried the Korean meatball starter which comes with several juicy meatballs with a sweet and spicy sauce. Have also tried the potstickers which have a crispy fried exterior and fairly tasty interior but definitely don't taste freshly made. The pasta Fresca is good - grilled chicken (I usually get it with this, but you can choose a different protein), pasta, some veggies, and a light balsamic sauce topped with feta or Parmesan cheese. There are quite a few onions, though, so beware (or ask for it without). The side ceasar salad is also quite good. It's just enough with a lightly creamy dressing, Parmesan, and a few croutons. It's better if you get it in store where it's tossed with dressing instead of to go where you just get a cup of dressing on the side. The spaghetti and meatballs is another good choice, although the spaghetti tends to be over cooked. The staff are variable. Some are very good while others more indifferent. This is my quick stop in Grandview if I wanted a quick casual Italian or Mediterranean meal. I tried some of the other Asian fusion options and I wasn't a big fan of the amount of food for example the Japanese noodles and such. I wasn't a fan of the Korean meatballs they just seemed a bit too sweet for my taste but I'm sure others may have found them just great. I like the new rewards app and it keeps sending you little small rewards to use once in a while for entrée discounts or free appetizers or drinks which is not a bad deal and probably keeps me coming back. Noodles kitchen concept works very well for someone who wants to get a casual meal without having to worry about making table reservations or seating or superb customer service or leaving a tip and all that jazz ... It is probably not the place if you're looking for the perfect stellar classy dining experience this is more of a casual cafeteria style. I like it. Quick and simple. Depends on the occasion. I can tell most of the ingredients are very well prepared and fresh. I also like how they make the Italian pasta options here "il dente" the pasta comes out a little hard lightly cooked not super overcooked or soft or soggy like other places. Out of the dozen times I've been here so far service has been great and I had no major complaints. Staff are pretty friendly. Noodles is always good, but never my first choice. It's kinda like McDonald's, in that you always know what you are getting, but it's nothing amazing. (It's way better than McD's, but I think you know what I mean.) Still, it's often handy, and it's pretty good and fast, so... This time I picked up lunch for everyone. This one seems bigger, or at least more open inside, than some. Lots of seating options. Great service. I had pad Thai, which was, well, good not great. The noodles were fine; the veggies were sparse, and there were huge lumps of scrambled egg, not the little bits you might normally find. Sweetie had her standard Alfredo Montamore. Baby K got spaghetti, with sides of broccoli and pineapple, and "chockit juice" (chocolate milk.) Their kid's meals are huge, at least for a toddler, and good, with fresh veggies and fruits and a choice of juice or milk. Prices seemed more reasonable than other times I've gone, so I don't know if this location is lower or if I'm just becoming used to the prices. We needed something quick for lunch while we were working. We ordered from Noodles and Company because we thought they would be fast. I got a chicken noodle soup bowl and a large order of cheesy bread to share with my co-workers. When everything arrived the temp of the food was still warm, but my soup was spilled with a lot of it in the plastic bag that the encompass the soup in while in its bowl. I'm guessing they do that because the soup must spill often. I wish they had better to go containers so they could remedy that problem as oppose to just letting it spill in a plastic bag. Had Nodles cater my daughter's wedding. Their website says each what they call "feed the many" serves 15-20 people, so i ordered 5 of these to feed 125.people. Caterimg told me each pan of pasta comes with 25 breadsticks and 1 large bowl of salad, so this should have been 50 pieces of garlic bread and 2 large salad bowls per "feed the many", plus I ordered 2 extra pans of pasta, because i was eorried about runnng out, and per my conversation with the hmgeneral manager Kat, i should not order more bread or salad per the because I was going to have "so much". Right! We got 25 breadsticks and 1 large salad for every 2 pans of pasta, so instead of getting 300 pieces of bread and 10 bowls of salad, i got 125 pieces of breqd and 5 salads, along with what were 5 tomy takeout comtainrrs of dressingnwhich ran out after Bout 20 people. We ran out of bread and salad half way through serving (we ended up serving 113 people by the way necause 12 didnt shoe up), and we were giving tiny portions of pasta to not run out of that. So ridiculous and embarrassing. The next day I reached out to Noodles and was contacted by the district manager, Brent, from what i described he made it see like i did not get what i paid for, but then he daid i had to talk.to the general manager Kat, I was told by her we got what we paid for and that what caterimg told me about the bread and salad was incorrect. So essentially by what we received, the food I paid to feed 125 people was really only enough for about 60 people. The general manager Kat said she couldn't give me money back since supposedly I received what I paid for, but that she'd send me some free bowls of pasta to amke up for my dissatisfaction - got them today - 2 whole free bowls. Wow! Not sure how that is supposed to make up for anything. I also had a bad experience with the Sun Praiire restaurant after the wedding, Yes, I went back even after all that we dealt with with the wedding. We ordered online, we showed up to grab our food and found someone took our order before we got there, they did remake our food, but when we got home, we found out NONE of our pad thais had ANY sauce. Just plain noodles with a couple eggs and onions. Absolutely disgusting. I reached out again. Had to complain twice to get any reaponse and their response was - it is not our fault your food got taken and they remade it for you. Yea, with NO SAUCE! I got no resolution. Paid more than a buck for "extra spinach" in the Penne Rosa, and got two leaves of spinach. Not extra. Total. Best of all, the grilled chicken had some sort of foreign object in it that jammed into my gum. My wife had to remove it with tweezers and a flashlight. The customer service here and just the Noodles Company in general is outstanding. I have only had Noodles a few times in my life and decided to try it for lunch one day. I wanted some Pad Thai and didn't feel like going to our local Chinese take out place where I always seem to get so-so pad thai. I ordered the food to go and the employees were very friendly and helpful. I got the pad thai back to my office and started eating it when I noticed that it was on the spicy side. The menu is supposed to have a little chili pepper next to the items that are spicy and the pad thai did not have one so I figured I would be safe (I don't typically like spicy food). It was a very taste dish besides the extra spice it had to it. I decided to just message the company on Facebook just to ask if it was possible to get the pad thai not spicy next time as it very good except for that. They responded back very quickly and honestly I was just expecting them to respond with something along the lines of "Yes, you can ask for it not to be spicy". Boy was I wrong! They apologized and were extremely empathetic with the situation. They told me that the recipe for the pad thai is not made to be spicy and it was prepared wrong. Apparently they cooked the sauce for the pad thai too long which caused it to be spicy. They asked me for a copy of my receipt and told me that they would contact the regional manager right away. I sent that right over and they apologized again and said that they want to make it right and asked if they could send me a virtual gift card for the amount that I paid for the meal. I accepted and thanked them again as they truly went above and beyond to make the customer happy. Fast forward to today where I went back with my gift card and decided to try something else that I have been having my eye on. It was the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese. Wow, was this delicious!!! The pasta was cooked perfectly -- I like mine Al Dente -- and it even had melted cheese all over the top of it. For $6 I am still so full from lunch when typically around this time in the afternoon I start getting hungry again. Customer service was polite attentive and responsive, but unfortunately the organization is likely locked into too much overhead ( too many stores) and is not able to recognize the customer base can eat at a competitor or at home for less. Of course the ambience is also wrapped up in the price...aside from the missing American flag and the prominently (5 percenters) displayed deviants corrupted rainbowish flag. Blech! Not a very good lunch. For $9.50 I got a tiny "Asian chop salad" with no protein and a small 'Thai soup' that tasted watery. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. I wouldn't mind going there to eat if their food didn't kinda suck. +1 The staff was pleasant and efficient. +1 But, bottom line, totally mediocre food. The salad was just lame. The regular (larger) size was smaller than the size of a side salad at J. Alexanders. The soup was bland and the noodles were too long to be able to eat with a spoon. I've never spun noodles on a fork in a soup bowl until today. It was plain weird. AND $9 effing 50 for this? No thanks. Went inside to pickup a pickup order and didn't see my order, so I start looking around and see a bag behind the counter but it's turned around so I couldn't see the receipt to check if it was mine. A short younger dark haired girl was sitting down with her back to all the customers just on her phone. I waited a few minutes to see if she would turn around to see all the people waiting to be helped, but whatever was on her phone must've been super important because she didn't move the for 5 minutes until I got her attention. Ok, Noodles, I must admit, you are in the running for my fave fast food joint. Neck and neck with Chipotle. And when you keep adding awesome menu items, like super yummy lettuce wraps, for $2.99, how can I possibly resist? Though I'm always wary of nutritional facts (I don't know why, I just am), I like that Noodles offers calorie counts for all of their dishes, and they have small printed menus that give you suggestions if you are trying to limit carbs, calories, gluten, etc. My favorites on the menu: Indonesian Peanut (a bit spicy, but great), Penne Rosa (Um, holy crap, is this really available at a fast food joint) with feta and extra mushrooms, spinach, and maters. And now, my ultimate favorite- the lettuce wraps. Fresh, light, packed with flavor, and surprisingly filling for 230 calories and 3 bucks. I wish I could choose 2.5 stars. Came here to try something new (I just moved to columbus) and was very disappointed. The service was not great, there were no kids meals, and the food was very bland and included very little meat. So to me this place was not worth the money. I would guess that if you like more mild flavors and didn't want any meat with your dish then this would be ok. For my family, this place didn't make the cut. Service...she came to the big menu and asked if we had been there before to which we replied no. She just briefly said you pick your flavor and can add meat for an extra cost. I guess we are just used to more conversation or suggestions when we visit a place for the first time. Food...We ordered 4 different things, 3 noodle bowls and one salad to get a variety. Pad Thai - definitely not pad Thai and very light in flavor. The chicken rosa - almost no sauce and hardly any chicken. I can't remember the names of the other dishes, but they were all so bland. One was a Mac and cheese type, I want to say it had a BBQ sauce on it. I don't like plain pasta so having very little sauce doesn't appeal to me. My kids love food and will eat just about anything from sushi and oysters to ribs and sauerkraut. We had to force them to eat their food bc they just didn't like it, any of it. We tried to trade dishes with them to let them eat something they liked and the only thing my youngest ate was the salad. It may have been an off day, I don't know. I will usually try a place a few times before I make a decision. In this case I won't waste my money again. The dish had a nice light taste and is one of their healthier options. They do use a lot of red onions in the dish, and the flavor comes through. Bear that in mind if you're not an onion fan. The chicken pad Thai was ok though the sauce was a bit sweet, and there were large chunks of eggs like pieces of an omelette in it rather than the small shredded pieces of egg that is more typical. The potstickers were just ok. They had kind of a frozen potsticker taste - not sure they actually make these from scratch. They had a tasty filling, though, and were crispy. In the past we've had the Penne Rosa as well as the spaghetti with meat balls which are both very good. The salads were very good - tossed with the dressing for a nice flavor throughout. The greens seemed fresh. Overall it was about $32 for all this (with two soft drinks), but thanks to a Noodles Rewards offer we only paid $22. You can modify too, which is always a good thing for me. Then the Tomato Basil soup, the cucumber tomato side and the side of sauteed shrimp are my go-to's. Not all together, because even though the portions look small, once you start digging in you soon see that there's actually a lot stuffed in there. For dessert, they pride themselves on the gigantic rice crispy treat. Sometimes if you eat in, and they are feeling generous or promote-y, they might give you one on the house. So the first stop of my birthday freebie-palooza turned out to be Noodles & Co. Floors needed swept, etc. I think the poor employees were just catching their breath, because as I sat at the table I noticed that they started moving around, sweeping floors and wiping down tables, etc. I ordered the small pasta fresca with grilled chicken & mushrooms, fountain drink, and one of those huge rice krispie treats (yum!). The girl taking my order didn't bat an eye when I presented my coupon, and took it off without any problems (you'd be surprised how often front-end employees don't get trained on proper procedure for applying discounts and coupons!). Total cost after coupon = $3.50. Awesome. When I received my food a few minutes later, everything looked fresh, hot, and yummy. The small was definitely enough to fill me up. I should also add that the Columbus Noodles & Co. locations recently added those new mega Coke machines with 100 different options. Is it a chain? Yup. Is it gourmet food? Heck no! But it's consistently good. And yes, I know that practically everyone is capable of boiling some pasta and sauteing some veggies in oil. But one day you'll have a crappy day at work, a kid screaming in the background, and all that's going through your head is "I cannot even think about dinner right now."
