BBQ CHICKEN CHOP* and Pear Watermelon Lemonade
    Brianne C.

Stopped by for lunch with a coworker on a Thursday. There was plentiful parking right next to Chop5 and in the lot in front of it, even at lunch. I enjoyed my BBQ Chicken salad a lot! It had fun toppings like tortilla strips and corn and the BBQ and ranch dressings were great mixed together. I thought the portion was a good size for an entrée salad - I didn't leave hungry. I also enjoyed the desert pear lemonade from their fountain drink options. My coworker enjoyed her salad, but it did have a hair in it that wasn't hers, but she found it after eating almost the entire salad. Unfortunate because both of our salads were very tasty.

First time going to Chop5 had a salad with tomatos, banana peppers, cucumbers and shredded cheese with Chipotle chicken, dressing was ranch and Chipotle ranch mix together. A chop sandwich with avocado of God sauce. It was good, will be returning

I went in after a long time. The place was super clean. Friendly staff. LOTS of options for vegetarians , which is a huge plus for me! The portions were generous. The person making my salad was super patient and helped me understand my choices. It was such a beautiful hearty meal that I got to enjoy!!

Excellent choices & delicious options. Sampled harvest chop, steakhouse chop & I enjoyed the southwest chipolte chop. Large portions & you can request dressing on the side or personalize salads as it moves through the salad line. Very fresh & tasty ingredients.

This salad and bowl place has a lot of variety of flavors and I gradients to choose from. My bowl and my mom's bowl were quite different in taste and this variety made it more enjoyable and I'd be more likely to come back to try more things. The only problem is they are a little stingy with the ingredients and the lady who was preparing my bowl was extra stingy and kept trying to charge me extra for every small thing. Fortunately the manager intervened and said it was okay to charge me a normal price for what they gave me.

Love chop5. This is the best place to go if you're obsessed with salads! Their spicy cheese soup is really good, it tastes like nacho cheese sauce but the employees didn't know what was in it which kind of bothered me. Surely they can read the package, even if they "don't make it in-house" you should always know. I have a peanut allergy so I wanted to double check. I also like how this location has little plastic to-go containers at the condiment/soda station so you don't have to go up to the counter to get a huge one if you only have a little bit left of your salad. Overall a very clean, well kept Chop5 I just wish the employees were more knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients!

Gone down hill really fast! Staff was unpleasant. No hair nets to prevent hair getting into food. Wrong orders. Staff mumbles and hard to understand what is being asked. Hopeful for this location, but won't be back. Pittty BTW- all of this is supposed to be in the actual sandwich

So many options and very good portion size! I get the harvest chop every time with no blue cheese or bacon. Very fast service and great employees with great attitudes! The inside of the place is nice and they have outdoor swearing, very large area. I will for sure be back! Great spring/summer go to! Their tea selection is great and they also offer soup!

Very nice staff. Food was ok but the portions were kinda small for the price. Everything seemed fresh but nothing was spectacular.

The bread was good and the sprouts were fantastic. For dinner we had the crispy pork shank, the plate of all the meats and cheeses along with a chopped salad. The menu looked interesting and following the reviews, we wanted to try a lot of items. In general, the appetizers were good. We liked the brussel sprouts, hummus and burrata. The bread was good and had an interesting flavored butter. Our main entrees came out a short while after the appetizers. The ribeye was good and cooked to temperature. Good but nothing great. Another had the beef tips and thought they were just okay. Another had the egg noodle linguine which was way too oily. And another had the salmon which they thought was fishy and mentioned it to our waitress. Service was okay. Our waitress stopped by several times to check on us. The food came out pretty quickly but we were not in any rush. An okay experience but definitely did not live up to our expectations.

Way too much but the wings were edible... and that's where edibility ends! The tofu with peanut sauce sounded good to me, but I swear they took a whole block of tofu and cooked it as one piece. The exterior was bland which meant the inner depths of said tofu was even blander. How do you make peanut sauce bland? The drinks had to be good, right? After all, they're also a distillery with their own craft whiskey. Nope... Epic Fail on the blandest old fashioned in Ohio (I'm guessing). If they're trying to showcase their whiskey... maybe they shouldn't. Just really not a fan. Other Old Fashioned fans in the dining party weren't impressed either. The margarita wasn't much better either. What about a refreshing peach dessert? I'll give you 3 guesses and they all start with B! You guessed it, so flavorless and the pound cake was dry! It was even dry if you were calling it a biscuit. If you're going to serve this, then maybe a peachy sauce to cut through the dryness. Oh, the description promises that, but it did not deliver on those bourbon macerated peaches by any means. Even Bowser would send this peach back! TLDR: Bland food, Bland drinks, Dry Bland Cake, and Bland Drinks (a no-no for a distillery themed place). So many other great restaurants in Columbus, but this is a pass from me.

Was able to split the Caesar salad, in which the dressing was more mellow and less acidic than typical Caesar dressing, but was accompanied with a charred lemon wedge to add however much acid your heart desires! The crispy potatoes albeit fried were extremely light, and the aioli complements well the shaved cheese placed on top. Then came the burger, with the fries being extremely crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was very good as well, but I could do without the mushrooms added. It is a wet burger as well due to the mornay instead of a typical slice of cheese that just sticks to the burger. Most importantly, the cocktails are FANTASTIC as always. A seasonal menu always gets created, with the staples of course always available, typically using their own products within.

Every single plate was hitting. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked, seasoned well, and actually had flavor all the way through. The lobster ravioli was rich but not heavy, and the salmon was flaky and done right, not dry at all. What really made it though was the service. They were attentive without hovering, kept the drinks coming, and made it feel like a special night without being extra about it. For a birthday dinner, that matters. If you're going, don't go playing small. Order what you actually want. It's one of those places where you lean into the experience and enjoy it. I couldn't imagine better brussels sprouts it was crispy but also soft in the center so you didn't have to fight your way through eating them even good restaurants. I have good flavor and good sauce for brussels sprouts aren't as soft as these ones. This was great. Lamb chops: 6.5/10 - very sweet small lamb chops! Cooked well and had good flavor I just wasn't personally blown away. The Clover Club: 9/10 - knew exactly what I wanted. Had Monkey 47 which is the BEST gin for this drink. Wasn't the best one I've had but pretty close for it not being on the menu. Filet: 7/10 - a little Gamey but it was cooked well as it should be. Didnt have anything unique about it just was don't like a filet should be done. The carrot was cooked to perfection which brought her review up. The fried potato was also amazing best part of the whole dish, especially with whatever spread they put on it. The fillet was not the highlight the carrot and the potato were. Sea Bass: 1/10 - genuinely did not taste good very gamey very fishy took two bites didn't eat it. The soup it came in was a little sour not a good flavor would not recommend. Hamachi Crudo: 3/10 - we are sushi snobs so take this with a grain of salt. It could totally be something that you love, but I hate when somebody brings out a piece of Nigiri or sashimi and it's warm. This dish has potential the flavors around it were very fresh but the hamachi was room temperature when it should be ice cold and the flavors felt like an after thought. Menu: 4/10 - nothing to write home about when it comes to the options. A very corporate get what you expect type restaurant. They aren't doing anything revolutionary here Atmosphere: 7/10 - definitely a nice spot. It's very clean bathrooms are intimate and also very clean again. Nothing revolutionary here the demographic when we went was very old and corporate. Price: 5/10 - $340 plus idk... I feel like this was worth $180-$220 personally for the price I never complain about price anywhere I go out to eat, especially fine dining, but this place was overcharging for what they're actually giving for sure. Overall: 6.5/10 - I would recommend this place to someone who doesn't really care about Food that much and is wowed by like an STK or a more chain like "fancy restaurant" I was hoping to get more of a small boutique very intentional experience at this restaurant just based on the outside by the field, but it definitely feels like they've cut a few corners when it comes to building a really unique food experience I would love to come back and give it another try because maybe I just came at an off time.
