The store is nice inside with enough workers to manage everyone there for dinner. The workers greeted everyone who walked in. The person who made my salad was wonderful and said she loves her job! She walked me through the process. There were so many topping choices and they all looked so fresh! I selected spinach, rotisserie chicken, banana peppers, cucumbers, roasted sweet potatoes, and feta cheese and she chopped them all up then added light lemon cilantro dressing and a few croutons. Stopped by for lunch with a coworker on a Thursday. There was plentiful parking right next to Chop5 and in the lot in front of it, even at lunch. I enjoyed my BBQ Chicken salad a lot! It had fun toppings like tortilla strips and corn and the BBQ and ranch dressings were great mixed together. I thought the portion was a good size for an entrée salad - I didn't leave hungry. I also enjoyed the desert pear lemonade from their fountain drink options. My coworker enjoyed her salad, but it did have a hair in it that wasn't hers, but she found it after eating almost the entire salad. Unfortunate because both of our salads were very tasty. read more

This salad and bowl place has a lot of variety of flavors and I gradients to choose from. My bowl and my mom's bowl were quite different in taste and this variety made it more enjoyable and I'd be more likely to come back to try more things. The only problem is they are a little stingy with the ingredients and the lady who was preparing my bowl was extra stingy and kept trying to charge me extra for every small thing. Love chop5. This is the best place to go if you're obsessed with salads! Their spicy cheese soup is really good, it tastes like nacho cheese sauce but the employees didn't know what was in it which kind of bothered me. Surely they can read the package, even if they "don't make it in-house" you should always know. I have a peanut allergy so I wanted to double check. I also like how this location has little plastic to-go containers at the condiment/soda station so you don't have to go up to the counter to get a huge one if you only have a little bit left of your salad. What a great concept. Pick a menu salad or make your own. Salad was large and very tasty with everything I wanted. The Aztec chowder was hearty and tasty as well. The staff was fast and organized getting the salads and soups out. Next time in Columbus we will hit it again read more

I like the concept of CHOP5, and admittedly have never been to a salad-only joint. They do offer rice or quinoa based bowls, so I guess it's not technically only salad but pretty close nonetheless. The menu was pretty decent in the fact there were multiple things I mulled over before ultimately opting for the southwest chipotle salad. Once you order, they add all your ingredients to a bowl which gets handed off to the chopping station (of which they have 3). The employee then chops the salad by hand, tosses it back in the bowl, mixes in the dressing and toppings and voilà the salad is ready. Before plating the salad, they asked if I'd like more dressing or anything else added, which was a nice touch especially since I'm someone who usually prefers extra dressing. I got mine to-go and the take out tupperware is rather sturdy (can be re-used after washing which is always nice). The salad was decent, but somewhat lacking in the protein department -- only a handful of bites of chicken. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the price, which was one of the downsides. $11-13 for a salad without any extras (drink, side of chips, etc) is bit steep in my book, but I guess eating healthy costs more. Overall, the menu had a good variety of options, the salad was decent but the price was a bit high for what it's worth. That said, I thought the customer service was excellent so CHOP5 gets 4 stars from me. read more

I've been to the Polaris location a few times and was excited to see a new location on lane avenue. This is in the old Moe's Southwest Grill spot. The layout of the restaurant seems exactly the same but just refreshed with Chop5 decor. I love the concept of this restaurant where you can get fresh chopped salads and customize it as well. I went for the Cobb salad as listed which I've had before. The size is pretty big and I got it to go. My only complaint really is I didn't pay attention to the price of the salad. I feel like the Cobb salad isn't worth $12.99 to be honest. It's nice, it's good, but nothing outstanding for it to be the one of the most expensive items on the menu. I might suggest another salad or customizing a salad instead, or even trying a bowl. read more

I was extremely disappointed that the Buffalo Chicken Chopped Salad came in with only the greens and salad dressing. And since I ordered it through Uber eats the store wasn't able to refund me. The manager suggested that I get help from Uber. The store was also unable to help me other than me physically going into the store to pick up the corrected order. They are unable to help me more because the store is closing in an 1hr and also they have no delivery on staff. The staff I spoke with first also mentioned that this mistake happens a lot. This is a big red flag. The manger was also unable to explain what went wrong. I just wish that the store knows what went wrong with their food preparation line so that others will not suffer my fate. Of course I am not going to order delivery from them again. read more

This is now my go to salad place. I ordered through Uber Eats, so I can't speak to the actual location, but I will make an effort to visit. The salad i received was so good! The green goddess dressing took me back to when I was growing up, and green goddess dressing was all the rage. This was so much better! I built my own salad and it was the best! Staff are always friendly and many know my face. I appreciate that the same person works on the online orders, as he knows what I like and seems to never forget an added topping. I love the Chop Cobb, and I always add avocado, sunflower seeds and apples chunks. The price I'd fair, as I always get two meals out of the toss. I think I especially like Chop 5 because they are able to chop the ingredients to your specification: I like smaller sized pieces, so this is a huge customer perk. read more

I used to love a good grocery store salad bar after running errands but the pandemic killed that. This is a better version (better ingredients, less ick factor). They have a few pre-selected salad recipes, you can modify them, or you can just make one up. I got the Cobb with some modifications and it was exactly what I wanted-hit the spot. I have been to the Polaris location once and was excited for the Lane Ave location to open nearby me, but I got my first southwest chipotle salad tonight and I feel like I was robbed. Not only were the tortilla strips (my favorite thing that tops it off!) completely missing, I counted less than 10 individual bite-sized pieces of chicken. For a $12 salad, this is beyond disappointing and I'm angry I didn't notice until I got home to open it and eat. For $12, this should never be the case. I think 3 stars is very appropriate considering the quality and price of the food. I came here with a friend after receiving a BOGO coupon in the mail. With the coupon, I think it's a great deal. However, without the coupon; I don't think I could justify eating here. I don't think I justify paying $12+ for a salad or rice bowl from here. I've worked in food service before and it appears they probably use pre-cut vegetables and other pre-cut ingredients that come from a package. I'm only saying this based on the appearance and I cannot actually confirm. To me, it seems like cheap or questionable quality. That's just my opinion. The overall ambiance and service seemed very mediocre as well. With so many food options, I am not sure how they are differentiating themselves as a business. The flavors of the Mediterranean Rice Bowl were decent but again I would rather go elsewhere if I am going to get a rice bowl or salad. I'm just not sure I would be a repeat customer. The manager literally is oblivious to what is going on around him the times that I've been here. We were here today and were very impressed. The salads were excellent -- the restaurant charges about what other restaurants in the area charge, but the salads were bigger and much tastier than those in surrounding restaurants. Underwhelming at best. Not a good value. Barely any protein. One said was the size of a dinner salad and if the chicken was on it, it couldn't be seen. It was almost $13 for a pile of lettuce & veggies the size of a large fist. The other salad was 5 times bigger. Both had little protein and was fairly flavorless. The BOGO helped soften the blow.
