Had a date night with my husband at this spot. I was feeling under the weather and wanted soup-- this was perfection. My husband described his flank & brisket soup as "good" and "it were tasty-like... strike that... don't publish that, Maria. Stop." My filet pho was off the charts. Complex, hearty and comforting. We also got the tofu spring rolls, which had crispy fried onions inside, which were a wonderful textural surprise and flavor. The service was prompt and attentive. Would definitely come here again!

Owners of Pho Chef have a new location at Kenny Center beside Chillispot. The food is fresh and delicious. I love that you can ask them to exchange regular pho broth for spicy broth. The service is fast and efficient. It was kind off empty on Friday evening. They did have online orders but the seating is nice and quiet. Ambience is clean and comfortable. Prices are affordable

Inside is clean, and new. Plenty of four person tables. Service was amazing. I was confused coming to this location. It says phó chef. To me pho is Vietnamese not Chinese. The outside door and inside walls had Chinese on them. I thought with all the five star reviews, I will give it a go. The Eggrolls were the star of the show. Delicious. The phó not for me. I like to taste the broth before I add anything. Boy was that salty! The meat and noodles were perfect. But with that salty of a broth, it's rough. I got a sliced lemongrass pork rice plate to go. The sliced pork was extremely salty as well, no lemongrass at all in that. Not a fan of this place. This location is a Chinese restaurant that has noodle soup. I wouldn't call that phó. It was also weird, two different people came in and ordered sweet potato fries to go. If you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant this can be your go to. But for phó, probably not.

Was in the mood for pho and found this place on google. Wasn't impressed with shrimp spring roll and peanut sauce. I am a huge fan of peanut sauce in general and this sauce just didn't hit like I was hoping it would. My pho was good but I wish the portion was a bit larger. The waitress was kind and friendly. The restaurant was clean.

Pho Chef was a great surprise. We tried the pho, vermicelli combo, appetizer sampler, and meatballs, and everything was beyond tasty. The flavors were on point, fresh, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, a bit more than we usually eat, but honestly that's a plus and great value for the price. This place feels underrated for how good the food is. Highly recommend if you're in Columbus, and we'll definitely be back.

Thus place does not disappoint. The food was excellent and the servers were very attentive. Spring rolls was mainly filled with meat The grilled pork rolls were really good as well. The lemongrass pork chop was probably the best onenI have had around the area. The pho was also excellent but a little different then what is normally served. The $2 upgrade is worth it and the broth is one that is not found in very many places. This broth is a lot lighter then normal broth but still very tasty. Will definitely come back to this place again

The food was absolutely divine, we loved the place and would definitely come back! The staff was very nice and friendly, we got the special pho for $16 and it was a lot of food!

You order before you find a seat, and the host who took our order was so kind and down to earth. He gave us recommendations and affirmed our choices. I can't remember his name but, he was wearing a cast/sling so I hope he gets the appreciation he deserves. I ordered the Everyday Egg sandwich with bacon and substituted a biscuit in place of the brioche bun. I'm going to tell you right now - this was the best decision ever! I also ordered a single ricotta pancake, the breakfast potatoes the Country breakfast, and the iced strawberry matcha latte. The country breakfast and the everyday egg sandwich have the exact same presentation, I wish the country breakfast was presented with each item separately rather than stacked as a sandwich but it was still delicious. Just like on the Egg sandwich the eggs are the star, fluffy, cooked to perfection. The biscuits was golden brown and flaky and had a nice bite. It paired very nicely with the strawberry preserves. The ricotta pancake was a standout, fluffy and beautifully soft and lightly crispy on the edges. It is paired with fresh cut bananas. Everything was delicious. The only issues arose because the kitchen ran into an issue with their fryer preventing them from preparing the breakfast potatoes. It also caused a delay in them bringing out part of my meal. They jumped into action to apologize and they treated me to a chocolate chip cookie (delicious, warm and huge!) and a complimentary meal at my next visit. As I live out of town I chose to redeem this by ordering the simple salad to take home to which I added avocado. The salad was delicious, I loved the croutons and the light vinaigrette - the avocado added an enjoyable creaminess. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Columbus!

Coming off of Bourbon fest, we decided for light fare and got a closing drink along with the Off Menu red snapper crudo with rice paper crackers, watermelon salad, and pomodoro pasta. We shared everything and took half the pasta to go. The crudo was fresh and creamy with an avocado base while the watermelon salad was brine, sweet, and refreshing at the same time. Definitely have to try that at home. A great ending night for us and the Chapman legacy.

Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
