I owe the Bicyclery a review considering I have been consistently going there since 2009. I have never bought a bike from here but I literally do all the services on several of my mountain bikes, road bikes, my families bikes here Tom has upgraded my 2013 Santa Cruz Tallboy LT based on what I wanted over the years from a 29er to 27.5 plus just to name a few of many things. He has fixed road bike hubs, replace worn bottom brackets, convert some of my families bikes to tubeless. The list goes on. I have lived many places and have worked with other bike shops with very good mechanics. Tom is outstanding and he and Marta are so nice and gracious. They know cycling! I moved away from the area and now live 30 min away. I still drive here to get work done that I can't do or have the time to do it. My favorite bike shop in South Florida. read more

I strongly suggest you take your money elsewhere. The customer is always wrong at this business. Look up "JackTheBikeMan". It's a much better alternative and only 3 miles away. Woman was nice enough, guy with the broken arm is an a**. I think he was the owner I brought in my bike to replace tires, tubes and install grips. For one the grips were installed backwards. My bikes brakes were working fine when I gave it to them, I got it back with the front brake severely loosened. Not a huge adjustment for them to fix it but instead they decide to argue with me and claim they didn't make them loose. With 1000% certainty the front brakes were not in that condition when I dropped my bike off. Buddy with broken arm says he won't charge me for it... lol. They caused a part to be loosened on my bike, I make them aware of their mistake and they tell me that it wasn't them but they are gracious enough to not charge me to tighten the part which took 120 seconds. Long story short, there are many other alternative bike shops in the area more deserving of your money. ----- I'll bring my bike in right now to shows u the grips. You are just straight up lying and still arguing with me. I know you have to disengage the brakes to create enough space to remove the tire too. You're just lying on both topics. Keep pedaling lies and arguing with your paying customers, that'll end well. read more

Due to the Quarantine and stay at home regulations, I recently tuned up my road bike. I haven't ridden a road bike in 13+ years before moving from Texas for medical school. I fell in love with riding again! As all of my cycling gear are at my parents house in Texas, i needed new gear. I was going from shop to shop for about 2 weeks looking for a helmet, lube, Shoes, road bar tape, computer, and tools. Of all the stores in West Palm, Wellington, Palm Beach Gardens, and Jupiter, this is the BEST cycling store I came in. EVEN with the forced state regulated curbside service, I was very impressed of the customer service. I came here 2 times in one week to pick up more cycling gear. I always support small business, especially family run businesses. Tom and his wife Martha are nice and great people. Very personable and willing to help everyone that flooded to the door respectfully during the covid 19 hysteria. Once I get back to fully riding, I will def be back for a new bike! read more

After 3 visits and 130 dollars my girls bike still has a flat. The gears don't work and the bike rides horribly. If you can fix it don't charge for the service. I should have brought her a new bike. read more

Moved to South Florida about 3 years ago. Been to 2 other shops prior to this one. The Bicyclery is the best. Read a few negative reviews on Yelp and do not understand them. My experience here was excellent. The owner and his wife are very experienced and friendly. They tuned my new bike, added upgrades and fitted me accordingly. Very professional. Yes they are retail. I am sure you can find parts cheaper on Amazon or eBay, but you will not get the advice or experience you get here. They had no issue installing my parts, and I would have bought more from them, but inventory was low because of COVID. They do excellent work and stand by it. read more

Staff has stood behind the products they sell honoring warranty on at least one occasion exceeding our expectations. Understand this is a mom and pop type atmosphere with a selection of bikes not found at Walmart. Lots of parts and bikes in stock, prices just north of fair, owner likes to argue. I've purchased a couple bikes here and loads of parts, but today I decided to stop coming back. Im always hesitant to come here because it seems I can never buy the parts I need without having to justify to the owner (I assume he's the owner) why it is that I need them. I'm a mechanic and work on my own bikes, I do some wacky things sometimes but I'm not the kind to buy too many parts And return them when I don't use them.. I always know exactly what I need, and I just want to buy them and be on my way. This guy has a vendetta against people who know as much (or more) than he does. Maybe he has too many kids or hates his life for some other reason but his main objective is not to do business - it's to win arguments. Maybe his customers enjoy this attitude and find comfort in his assertiveness but I'm over it. I'm shopping Amazon from no on. read more

I'm all into supporting local, small bike shops but not when they price gouge out of town cyclists. Just not right. Take your business elsewhere. Altogether paid $900 when really fair price for all 5 pieces should have been maybe $600.00 Bought 5 pieces of women's cycling clothing, got back to my hotel, checked online just to see what prices were, and just realized I was charged way too much. $80 to $100 more for each piece. Not cool at all. This is what I was charged and the prices I found online.... Bike Girls bike skin suit (Bought 4 suits) Got charged $170 for each one Found online from a Miami shop $ $91.00 Castelli Donna bike shorts (Bought 1 only) Got charged $169.99 Found online $59.99 from Triathlon Sports Yes, we understand the whole brick and mortar customer service vs. online pricing but $100 more for clothing? We cycle everyday, drive a 45' motorhome cross country and participate in bike events, and have 8 pro bikes - road and mountain bikes. read more

When I was purchasing my bike they were the only retailer in the area that carried Specialized bikes so I had no choice but to buy from them. Both the owner and the saleswoman basically treated me like dirt like they were doing me a big favour selling ma a bike full price absolutely nothing extra except a one year servicing. It's been a year and a few days and I went in today. The woman there refused to give me the promised service because I was a few days late. She was incredibly nasty on top of it ruined my day. I will never go back there even though they are the closest store to my home. It's a shame they are the only retailer in the area that carries Specialized bikes. I rarely post reviews but these people are sickening Stay away from this place they are poison. In response to Toms email to me I would like to make myself clear. I have been riding for about 40 years now and dealt with several bike stores. Most are very customer oriented and have excellent service. You and your wife may think you are wonderful but you have the worst customer service I have ever seen. You must treat some of your customers decently but I was not one of the lucky ones. Your wife's arrogance is beyond belief. If the Specialized bike brand is smart they will be looking for better distributors in the Palm Beaches people like you and your wiFe will ruin the brand. If you look through reviews of your business there are many people who feel as I do that they will never return to your store because you are so arrogant and only interested in maximizing your profits. I wish I could give 0 stars... I've been coming to these dudes for years. I know I can find cheaper prices on amazon but I've always wanted to support local businesses. We're a family of cyclists and have been coming here for all our needs, and until recently have been happy. We dropped off one of our bikes for some repairs and upgrades -- estimate was a little less than $200. We pick up our bike today and the bill comes to $400!!! I'm not a mathematician but this is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than what we agreed on. When I asked why, the associate we've trusted for years said that he "messed up"... And when I complained, he offered to remove the pieces and refund it. We are going on vacation tomorrow with our bikes, so this is not an option. This is not how you treat a loyal customer. It seems pretty clear that someone was looking for a Christmas* bonus and thought that he found it in our family. Do NOT come here if you want to be treated with respect. The mechanic who sold and taught me about my bike, purchased at their shop, is unfortunately no longer there....however, every time I've been in since all the other mechanics have been happy to answer my endless questions, point me in the right direction, and remind me about the events they host. I came here a few weeks ago as a newbie to biking with a lot of questions. Sometimes going into bike shops can be intimidating, especially if you don't know anything about the sport. I was greeted by Tom (the owner) who was very eager to answer any questions I had. Even though I was new, I wasn't judged and I didn't feel out of place. We spent over an hour just chatting about general mountain biking. Overall a very friendly environment and not "pushy" at all. Just honest information from guys with 30+ years experience. Bicyclery's inventory isn't huge, but they have a little bit of everything you need for biking. They are a Specialized dealer, and stock a few bikes. They also offer demo bike rentals to see if you like what you choose before you purchase. I highly recommend this shop! read more

This place has tons of attitude. I called to make an appointment to bring my bike in to have it boxed up for shipping overseas. They gave me a time three days later, which was fine since it was the day before I was moving to Europe. When I showed up on the appointed day, they said sorry, they had too much going on to deal with my bike. I told them I had an appointment and that the next day I was flying to Europe, not to return for at least six months. Sorry, can't help you. I definitely got the impression that this $50 or so job was simply beneath them. So I left the bike behind in the US and had to buy a new one in Europe. Thanks a lot, guys. Still, a year later I went back to buy some accessories. I ride about 1500 miles a year, so I'm not a slouch, but I'm also not a hard-core rider who knows all the ins and outs. Again with the attitude. I know that they're extremely nice and accommodating if you're A. in the clique, B. a pretty girl, or C. gonna spend a lot of money. Finally, one more year later, I went by to pick up a few things just because the place was convenient for me. Locked up tight, even though it was well into their posted opening hours. No sign of any type. I drove 5 miles south to another bike shop, got excellent service, and have now finally learned my lesson about this place. read more

Tiny and tucked away you may not know how great they are unless you are a cyclist in the local community or have been referred to them. We send our athletes there for all their cycling needs and have patronized this shop ourselves for many years. They are the best. read more

Totally agree with Kevin about the attitude. I ride on old school mountain bikes from 10 years ago, but high end. One of them a a failure of the elastomers within the fork, as a regular customer from back in the K mart trail days I quickly thought of this shop for help. After they got over being annoyed with my desire to repair the fork, they informed me that parts to fix it were not available. So I asked about a new fork for the bike and was told that no one had forks to fit this previously standard sized frame head set. Disgruntled, I left and found a large selection of compatible forks on eBay and bought one for $50, and used my new favorite and friendly Bike shop, in down town Lake Worth to remove the lower bearing race and press it on the new fork for $5 . They were busy when I went in but still made time to fit me in quickly. The new shop is Relentless Bicycles in downtown Lake Worth. This business knows every customer doesn't need to be a home run sale. Guess where I will go when its time to replace my $4000 in bikes? read more

I stopped by their store today and had a great interaction with the mechanic that was on duty I needed to get a tool and a Isis bottom bracket for my older vintage Haro mountain bike they were very helpful he went out of his way to find me a bottom bracket tool there was no kind of forced upsell normally when I go into a bike shop and tell them that I do my own work being that I'm a 9 ase-certified Master Automotive technician they look down on me and I catch the attitude will why don't you bring it here and we'll fix it this bike shop they sold me the part and the tool I needed and helped me out of a jam I'm getting ready for a trip to Georgia so I had to get my main mountain bike up and going and they helped me out greatly read more

I cannot say enough about how great these guys are!! When I very first started riding I walked in because I needed some advice and some equipment. Tom immediately acknowledged me and came right over to see what I needed. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and point me in the right direction. As I began becoming a better rider and needed adjustments on my bike or more advanced equipment, once again they were always there. Each time I come in Rob greets me immediately in a very welcoming and friendly manner and always helps me with whatever my need may be. Also, the prices have always been more than fair. They always do exactly what is needed for repairs and many times if it a recurrent problem or a minor adjustment have just told me not to worry about it. Also, there have been multiple times that they have ordered products for me and prices were equal if not less expensive than I could have gotten on my own online.
