**10/04/19- I came back to get my 40k service and these guys at Steel Knuckles took care of me just like they did on my first visit. As soon as I reached out to them, they told me to just bring her in. No booking an appt a week or 2 out or ripping me off for extra crap. For that I'm grateful. When I bright my bike in, David started working on it immediately and my keys were back hanging from my belt loop and kickstand up within an hour or so. Don't waste your time calling around to other local shops or dealerships. Skip the bs and just bring your bike to these guys! ** I moved back into the area and needed a solid local shop to take my Harley for service and repair. Steel Knuckle has great reviews so I gave them a go. I spoke with David by phone and he was able to call me back within an hour with a quote on a rear tire. SK's prices are waaaay more competitive than going to the HD Dealership (but that's just a given, as HD has no problem giving it to you right where the sun don't shine every time). They're also a little cheaper than the other local shops that I called. My tire was ordered the same day that I spoke to David, and 2 days later I was in the shop having it put on. This shop is great. They clearly do a lot of work for the bikers in the Palm Beach area, as There were all kinds of rides inside. Some of the customs and paint jobs in that place are bad ass! All the guys were chill and super cool to chat with while I waited for my bike. I was back on the road within an hour of arriving. First off I want to start this review by saying I am not a disgruntled customer. I don't wish to start a fight or bash this business, InFACT I am currently taking this business to court. I A COMBAT VETERAN WHO HAS SAVED UP FROM DEPLOYMENT TO BUILD OUT MY DREAM BIKE!!!! entrusted this company to do a full rebuild and paint my motorcycle for over 9 months that it took my 1992 Harley was returned to me spray painted / shitty welds / missing and broken parts / misaligned wheels. and the price tag... a whopping 12,000 dollars. MY Bike was returned Barely running ( not staying on ) and between the multiple lose bolts bad welds spray paint and misaligned wheels cause the tire was purchased too big and instead of swapping it it was installed canted and the tire rubbing on the chain . along with numerous other problems, when confronted over the span of 4 months the owner refused to pay me back 2800 when he profited over 8 k from me not counting parts. he refused saying he only had 1500$ available. I ve attempted to barter a trailer and let them make payments back to me. their response was bring it back and let us fix it . I however don't see why they didn't do it correctly the first time and do not wish to let my life be taken in their hands once again when I drove away the first time with what seems to be carless handling of my bike. DO NOT USE THIS AS YOUR LOCAL SHOP - DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS I am currently serving this business and want to ensure no one does business with this company at either locations. I I always get treated with respect I also get better service than Harley Davidson and all at a lower price. These low life's won't return money if you purchase a part ( non electrical, a small piece of steel) even if you try to return it a few hours later AND you even have the receipt. Their excuse? We just ordered another part because you purchased the only one we had and we can't afford to have 2 of the same part on hand!-So no refund !!! Absolute WORST assholes in the motorcycle business and I have been here in S.Fla riding Harley's since 1978 and buying parts etc. since then. Good thing I didn't buy a big money item , even then since it wasn't a fortune I spent my hard earned money there and they in effect stole money from me. Steel Knuckle customs is truly the best repair shop in south florida. We've tried multiple Harley shops, but JT's facility with head mechanic "Sugar" at the helm, is second to none. Their mechanics keep all Four(4) of our Harleys fine tuned and running like their brand new. Went to Steel Knuckle after a few of my friends told me they do great work. I had already had 2 estimates ($500,$625) so I decided to try them. Did an excellent job and my bike was ready in 2 days as I was told. The work was top rate and for approx $450. I will consider them my new mechanics. read more
