Such a cute little place right on the main drag. We stopped by on our drive up from Hilton Head Island to Charlotte and needed lunch. They offer drive thru, pick up and inside dining. Social distancing is very much enforced and masks and gloves are worn by the staff. Grab a seat and check out their handwritten menu left on the table. We both chose their combo. For $9.95 we got a protein and a few choices - either get 2 sides and a choice of soup, salad or dessert to you can just choose 3 sides. I got the dark meat fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens and corn on the cob. We got cornbread and dinner rolls and, if I'm not mistaken, we also got 2 large iced teas at no extra cost (even got a large refill to go). The potatoes kind of tasted like instant but I don't want to say so for sure. The food was very good, could have used a minute or two longer on the chicken for a crunchier skin. Excellent service (sorry, can't remember her name - super sweet), great food ( I had the cheeseburger and onion rings - really good, my family had grilled cheese, french fries, dirty rice, etc...all really good), excellent price. I adore the fried gizzards here. Great locals' place that our hotel clerk hesitated sending us "city slickers" to, but I think she underestimated us! I ate here three times in three days on my last trip to Orangeburg. Love the fried chicken here. Unfortunately, it's the only item on the menu I've had, but I've been there twice so far, other friends have been there more times and they seem very consistent. Which may explain why the line can back up, quality takes time and this doesn't necessarily qualify as "fast food." The meat is tender and juicy, the skin is just crispy enough. Not so much that it flakes everywhere, definitely not soggy. It's been a few weeks since my last visit and I'm still thinking about it. They're not open Saturday or Sunday. This place is the BEST they have amazing friend chicken, a yummy salad bar, and most importantly great customer service. Make sure you bring cash as they are CASH ONLY and closed on the weekends. Stopped in on the way back to Atlanta from Charleston. Our whole group wanted some South Carolina BBQ on a Tuesday evening. After yelping and stopping by a few bbq joints on our route - all were closed at 7pm - we spoke to some locals who said "we cook bbq wed-sun here". Disappointed we went on our way and happened upon Biddie Banquet & saw bbq on the sign. The staff was extremely friendly and they had a line at their drive in and walk up window - the seating in the restaurant was closed - we all ordered "The Boss" bbq plate & a fresh lemonade. While the bbq wasn't the best SC bbq I've ever had it sure hit the spot. The lemonade was great. After reading the yelp reviews I see that other menu items are their strong suite. My wife and I visited here for the first time on recommendation from a hotel clerk on Hwy 601. We found the Banquet and loved the casual and "locals" feel. From the handwritten daily menu to the home cooked choices. We had fried chicken, mac & cheese, and peach cobbler.... all "to die for". If ever back here in Orangeburg, we will eat there again. We didn't like smoking being allowed in the building. It was in a separate section but there were no barriers to prevent it carrying into the whole building. read more

Absolute best fried gizzard or fried chicken liver dinner ever! They also have a salad bar and the normal meat and two veggies options as well. Very friendly, attentive and professional service. It has been around for decades. I believe the 'new' owner has had it for about 20 years. He really strives to keep the quality top notch. You can walk up and order from the window, or go inside and get table service. Great food at great prices. We go about 15 minutes out of our way when driving from Atlanta to Charleston just so we can eat there. Hint: Exit I-20 at Aiken. From Aiken, SC, go SC state routes 302 and 4 to make it a straight shot. Beautiful SC countryside and no traffic. Haven't been here for a while. I wanted to eat sea food. I chose to buy fish and mash potatoes. To me the fish was too salty and the season didn't go through the fish. The mash was ok.
