Very disappointing! With the restaurant being German themed, It was fair to assume that the cheese served with the soft pretzel would be some sort of beer cheese or something in that realm, but no, it was plain grocery store cheddar cheese sauce, the kind served with nachos from the concession stand at a high school football game. The garlic and herb and sharp cheddar cheese dip served with the cracker plate was very good though and the cheese brat was also serviceable. But the cheese dip with the pretzel is inexcusable in my opinion. The truth is, this place is a bar first and a restaurant a distant second. If you want a place to drink fancy beer and eat food then this place is for you. read more

Saw this place on my drive back from Cripple Creek, and decided it was too cute to not stop. They had a good selection of authentic German beers, I enjoyed a Munich Dunkel which I particularly like in general but this one was superb. They had a food truck in addition to offering a food menu, I enjoyed a bratwurst from the restaurant itself ordering at the counter, super friendly and quick service, overall for the quality and value I would return. A great little stop for a any day trip south of Denver. Looking forward to returning with friends! read more

A locals favorite and I'm a local, but the last time I went I was terribly disappointed. Ordered a couple beers, hotdog and coke for my kid, and cheese and crackers. That food took way too long. Like I already finished my beer long so ordered another beer. Kid didn't like the hotdog, didn't finish it, and the cheese and crackers is a cheese spread not cut cheese. I don't like cheese spread, it should indicate on the menu that it's cheese spread not actual cheese. In addition to that they told me twice that my kid couldn't be on the roof. I get that they have reasons for that. But why focus on that instead of your food and service? Also customer service was poor. When I went back for another beer someone just stood there and didn't ask me what I want. So I said can I have another beer. The person mumbled something and walked away and then another person helped me. The first person should say something like sure let me get the right person for that and they'll be right with you. Excellent service here, food is good. The truck vendor food is also good. Friendly atmosphere and shady spots to dine al fresco at picnic style tables. Not too much on the menus but the fried pickles are great (first time trying them), the sauerkraut is pretty good (served cold), and the fries are good too! Would come here again. read more

Took a Great Stout beer and a brat with kraut to warm up to BierWerks patio on the busy corner of Fairview and CO Hwy 24 west of Colorado Springs. Then ordered another Stout from the beautifully-eyed waitress wearing an alluring mask. I'm beginning to appreciate the Arab customs. The traffic signal offers a great vantage for motor-heads, and a study in Colorado vehicles. Also 18 wheelers going through their low gears, unmufflered cycles, and struggling camper trailers all make a loud presence known. read more

Stopped here on the way back from skiing. It's set up like a German Stubli, very much a local joint. Since we aren't Woodland Parkers, we felt somewhat excluded from the groups of apparent regulars quaffing Bier from their steins. The service was welcoming, though. Food: limited, and not distinct. Bier: Well... meh. Also limited and not the best selection in Colorado. It's probably a great hangout if you come here often, but we don't, and now we have checked that box. read more

This is one of my favorite breweries in the area. Every summer when we visit Colorado we try to stop by as we are passing through.However they have succumbed to the current fad of selling sours and IPAs which I do not consider true beers. They are simple to brew, do not have to taste good, because you cover them up with flavourings, and have a wicked shelf life. Thankfully on our last visit they still had the dunkel. They had dropped the dubble and tripel. Very sadening. read more

Cute place! We do a lot of weekend travel, so we're always driving past this place on the way back into the Springs. I adore German food and beer, so I was happy to try this place recently. We had some of the beer, bar cheese, and a sausage. They have like 100 mustards to try as well, which was pretty fun. Everyone knows that I like the condiments and sauces more than the actual meal. It was pretty good, and it wasn't legendary. I asked what brand the Wisconsin cheese was because I'm from there and I was curious, and no one seemed to know, which was a little weird. I'd probably be back again because of the convenient location, good beer, and patio. read more

The sausage and roll were the absolute best I've ever had in my life and I'm Medicare age! We both got the spicy pork and bison with the chips from Boulder. BierWerks also has a great assortment of beers; ask for a taste if you're not sure what you want. My husband's a wheat guy and he enjoyed the wit. I'm a hoppy person. This nifty little place is on the main drag and easy to find. Unfortunately, they must be at odds with their neighbors as there is no parking, and the lots nearby are clearly marked with threats of towing. You can find a little street parking but plan to hike. They offer a good selection of beers and a few pub food items. I enjoyed their pork and veal brat with kraut. It was served on a wonderful bun with a side of bagged chips. I also had a hefeweizen, but I have no clue to brews it. Their signage was poor, and their staff seemed very unknowledgeable. My wife asked about a beer and was given a sample. She liked it and ordered a pint only to receive a completely different beer. When she asked the server about it, the server tried to convince her that we accidentally swapped beers. Finally, she was given another beer which also was not the beer she sampled. We gave up, enjoyed our brat, and moved on. The unknowledge staff thing must be the norm as we overheard some locals talking about it. read more

Besides the loudness from the traffic, it's a perfect spot to stop and drink beer with our traveling buddies. Due to a family death, the food truck was closed, and that is totally understandable! Our only option is order food from this brewery, and they weren't good. I ordered a charcuterie board and it tasted like prepackage from a grocery store. My husband ordered a hot dog and didn't like it either. It also tasted like a store bought food. That's why we gave one star less. The beer though was delicious! We enjoyed sitting outside at the patio, as they provided many shade and plenty of seat. Each table was placed 6 feet away from each other. They do provide long rectangular tables too in case you come in with a large group. It's also dog friendly outside. I didn't see any dog bowl around so bring one just in case. We hope to come back soon and try the food truck. If you are traveling through Woodland Park, we recommend trying this place. It's a fun place to sit and relax for few minutes. If space is limited, try their parking lot behind the restaurant or make a turn at across the street as there is a park with plenty of parking spaces. As long as you don't mind walking. On our way back from Florrisant, Colorado we stopped in for a couple of beers. This was during COVID so the inside was closed and they had a limited menu, but they did have covered outside seating. Also you had to order at the counter. There were a lot of people there, but luckily we found a table. The beer selection was good. This place caught my eye from the road as I was passing through town. I found a place to park around the block and headed over. When I peered inside I could see it looked like a small but really cool spot with lots beer steins and old German knick knacks on the walls. I walked up and the girl taking orders seemed off in space. I stood there without even being greeted for a solid 2 minutes or so. I ordered a brat and a beer. Now, looking at the beers I was a bit disappointed they didn't have any German brands like Spaten or something. Not hard to acquire ya know? The brat was good and they had no more brown mustard but I just took packets of yellow mustard. In the end you cant beat a brat and a beer for $11! My husband really likes this place for brews and apps. It is VERY busy in the summertime and a great place to sit outside and watch all the people and activity going on in Woodland Park. Love BierWerks and we're regulars there. Everyone's friendly and, if you're visiting, feel free to talk to people. It's a kids- and dog-friendly place. We've met several of our friends while drinking a beer, there, and watched families grow. They no longer brew beer here (altho we keep hoping) but they have 7 to 9 beers on tap of all different types--IPAs, ambers, lagers, etc; you can always find one you like. They serve bratwurst (that are really good), pretzel sticks and trays with cheeses and crackers or hummus, olives and crackers. In nice weather there are tables out front and seats on the roof. For the shoulder seasons, there's also a fire pit out front. read more

Honestly this place is lacking, so my girlfriend has been telling me all about this place. Apparently since Covid happened this place has gotten rid of the craft mustard they carried : / was really looking forward to that not general packaged mustard - big minus. The brats are average nothing really standout about them or the buns. We also got a cheese board that was kind of a mix of traditional and things that don't belong like carrots and hummus not really making sense with the paring. I'm a dark beer drinker, and was pleasantly surprised by their Black Ale-it was too good, I wanted all 4. of my tasters to be the Black Ale. BUT THEN I tried the Dunkel, Altbier and the wheat beer...all very good!! Had the Port Wine cheese and crackers on the side (Wisconsin) and I can't complain-so good! There was a large party taking up must of the place, but the waitress was super friendly and made sure I had a seat. She was also very prompt and got my beers and cheese very quickly.
