Let me first advise you that this review is written by a very particular, artistic, and detail…read moreoriented person, me. I've only had 1 other body shop experience here in FL. so far, and it left a lot to be desired; the paint match was inadequate, and they did not heed my warning about removing my bumper to access certain clips from the rear in order to remove a specific trim piece; and by not listening to me, they broke the clips, put the trim back on half-assed, and now there are gaps where there should not be... That was my experience ELSEWHERE... My experience with Surreal Customs has been nothing but great so far (I'm one day from picking my car up). I found them while searching online for body shops who specialized in customization, such as: widebody, fender flaring, molding body kits, customizing bumpers by hybridizing 2 different bumpers - to be merged as one, etc... I had big plans for my car.. I saw their Facebook reviews, and was thoroughly impressed, nearly 5 stars out of half a hundred or so people, that was saying something. I gave the shop a call, and spoke to the owner, he responded to all of my inquiries thoroughly, and I asked if I could swing by to see some of their work in person.. A MUST DO, for any body shop you're considering, as photos never tell the whole story. I visited the shop, met with the owner, he showed me some of the stuff going on there, some fender widening in progress, some paint jobs, a frame off restoration, etc, I was happy to see all of my expectations were confirmed, it looked like they did good work. I brought my car in, we reviewed the scope of work, we priced it, and we were set to go. I dropped off my car, and since I have been kept very in the loop as to it's status, any discrepancies from our original expectations, etc, in the final stages of them making my car ready for my pick up, they noticed a small imperfection had occurred during the curing process of some filler, that was previously smooth (I'd felt it smooth a few days prior when I stopped by), RATHER THAN trying to pass off the car to me w/that issue there, they contacted me, let me know the issue, and let me know they were addressing it, and asked if I could wait one more night, which I gladly will for a proper job. I appreciate the small stuff, which is so sadly not the norm anymore. Things like: not trying to "pass the buck", and standing behind your work, these guys do that, and are stand up guys. My car already looked great when I saw it today, and can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. Long story short, I've seen their paint work in person, LOOKS LIKE FACTORY PAINT, their customization is very good from what I've seen, and their ethics are outstanding, which is probably the most important part. So whether you're looking for a body shop for a simple fender bender, or for completely custom work, I whole heatedly recommend Tim & his crew over at Surreal Customz. Thanks guys!

Now that I've said that - my experiences with Tim and the squad at Sureal have been fantastic. From minor work, like putting a coat of candy red paint on my tail lights to really set off the rear of the car, to reworking fenders to really tuck the wheel and lay out. They're great with communication, and the time estimates have been spot on. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks again for all the hard work and effort.

It was clean, organized and it provided me with the feeling that they on top of their game. I spoke with Robert who was my estimator and I saw he was doing his best to work with me and give me the best price possible since I was paying out of pocket for the work. I decided to give Joe Hudson's the job and the work was on time, within the estimated budget and the quality of the work was professional and flawless. I have friends who work for the dealership that I bought my car from and remarked on the quality of the work and the paint match. They also felt that the price was very fair. I have to say I was shocked when I received a call from Robert who advised me that he had some good news for me. Apparently the company does an audit of their pricing and they were going to send me a two hundred and something dollar refund that that they felt was due me to over estimating the charge for the work they did. I really was totally surprised that they would blind call me to let me know they were sending me money! That is true honesty and customer appreciation! I want to highly recommend bringing your car for bodywork at Joe Hudson's and working with Robert was a pleasure!

Took no time to install and I was on my way and it was much cheaper than going to the dealership. Fast forward a few days and my cars displayed an alert that my blind side detector was not working and I needed to see the dealer. Reached back out to Butch and he came out to diagnosis. We both figured it was due to the after market mirror I told him to go with and not one directly from the dealer. We were right. He ordered a new one that would fix the issue and was back out to install within days. Even though I should've gone with the dealer mirror initially, it was still much cheaper. His prices, service, warranty and kindness are unmatched. Highly recommend!

The A/C now runs ice-cold and the airflow feels just like it did when the car was new. It's rare to find technicians who understand the unique challenges of vintage GM HVAC systems, but Butch absolutely delivered.
