If I could give -0 stars I would, blonde hair black lady not helpful and rude as can be,brought my iPad in paid $160 for a screen fix, screen is completely coming off after 1 month. She claims they don't keep information in the system & did I have my receipt as I explained I could go possibly find it but isn't my information in your data base. Then proceeded to say it's out of warranty anyway. Refused to even check or look at it. They had to have used Elmer's glue to fix the screen. 0/10 would not recommend after recommending people before I had my own bad experience. Save your time and money. read more

I went to this place to get my cracked screen repaired for my Galaxy S8, the cost was $212 with tax which is about normal. The gentleman that were there were polite. I was told my phone would be ready by 4pm but I returned around 5:30pm due to errands, and my phone was just getting closed up, so it's a good thing I didn't come back at the time I was initially told. Other than that, my phone is once again beautiful to look at, and no longer dangerous to use! read more

I broke my screen on my S9 plus Friday night and immediately went into a panic because the phone was basically a paper weight and was absolutely useless. Called a few places in Cedar hill and was quoted $270 for the screen repair by Batteries plus bulbs. Would have considered them but they did not have the screen in stock and would have taken 1week to get the screen. Decided to try Big Al's. After calling was promised same day service and was quoted $225 for the screen replacement. I was in a pickle because I didn't want to go to Tmobile a finance another phone for $1400 and I also had precious memories on this phone that i couldnt access. Big Als had very competitive pricing and with the same day promised I decided to give them a try. So the young lady that works in the store may be the owners relative was very sweet but not the best at answering questions about the repair or about the warranty. Which I found out is 30 days provided no new damage occurs to the phone. I called them at 10am and was told that it would take 1-2hrs to have the phone repaired. I was excited about this because I had plans to enjoy the day with my family and since they closed at 5pm I knew I would be back in time to get my phone. I dropped the phone off at 1030 and was told again it would be a few hours. I didn't hear from them at all and had to continuously call to get an update. I gave them until 230pm before I called for status and I definitely understand repairing a phone is no easy chor. I was told at that time that my phone was being worked on at that time and would be another hour. So 330pm passes and I don't hear anything, 4pm passes still nothing and finally at 430 pm i called and asked if was ready because I knew they closed at 5pm and closed on Sundays. Finally when I called I was told that my phone was ready. I went to pick up the phone and it works great and looks great. Big Als does good work but they should set a better expectations for the customer and consider their time. I wasted my day waiting for them when they could have told me from the beginning that it would be ready at the end of the day. They should also provide updates during the repair process and keep the customer informed on where their phone is in line for repairs. Decent service and they kept their promise "same day service". All in all I will take my wife's phone to get repaired. Ridiculous! Took my iPad here to get the screen repaired because it was cracked. They fixed that part, but when I got it back, the iPad keeps restarting. I don't know what they did because I took it back to get that issue fixed, & when I got it back, it's still restarting. Now I'm mad! Not only because of that, but because they don't even know what they're doing. When we dropped the iPad off they say they'll give us a call back & when I don't get a call, I call to check the status , & they respond with " oh , what are doing with it again?" Not once. But twice. How unprofessional. I'm taking the iPad back unfortunately for them to fix it correctly because I didn't spend over $200.00 for them to leave me with a broken iPad. Where's the NEGATIVE STAR? "Big Al's" ain't big just Al and company. They fixed my screen and messed up my phone. I turned in my phone to get my screen replaced. (I dropped my phone for the first time ever and HAD to get it fixed.) It wasn't "Al" but his brother who replaced my screen. After I noticed my phone not going black when I put it to my ear, I took it back Big Al's. The brother fixed the issue but screwed up my fingerprint scanner. After going round and round with him, he tells me to come back the next day. When I showed up he says "Big Al" says there is nothing they can do about the button. So they halfway fixed my first issue and tore up the main function of my phone. DO NOT GO HERE!! They do have a sausage place next door. 1. I reported this company to the Better Business Bureau. They sent the complaint to Big Al's to which they replied with lame excuses and lies. 2. Come to find out, the reason that my phone was acting up after the $90 screen repair was because when Big Al's opened it up, they screwed up the digitizer and caused issues with the LCD on the phone. 3. Mi Phone Doctor in Mesquite did an amazing job in fixing what Big Al's screwed up AND they are authorized Apple dealers, which Big Al's is not. Me and my fiancé brought his phone here to get the screen repaired which was ok, but when we got our phone back the speaker was messed up. You can't use the phone without a headphones because no one can hear you on the other end. He tried to claim that maybe it was broken before we brought it in; but he failed to realize that we were using the phone to contact him and used it in front of him to make a personal call right before we gave it to him (we had no headphones in and it was working just fine). This was a horrible experience! I don't recommend this shop for anything. Save your money and go to a different repair shop. read more

Upon repair on my iPhone screen, the Face ID didn't work when they returned it. We went back and forth and I was put off each day because no one could figure out how to fix it. A week later I was promised a new iPhone replacement. It was supposed to be the same iPhone. Fast forward to now....I go to see about getting an upgrade and don't you know this is not the same iPhone that I had before. I had the XS and they traded me for a X. I wasn't thinking to go back in my settings and check to see if they were honest. I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau soon. If I could give them a less than one-star review I would. I don't know where to start but after Carlos (one of the "techs") told me he could replace the screen on my Pixel 3 for x-amount, once I arrived he switched the price to about 30% more. He also assured me that the repair would be done in a couple of hours, not. I returned to the shop for a total of 4 times over the course of 4 days. Needless to say, they still charged me $100 bucks, and after getting my phone back, with glue seeping out from all sides and a few weeks later my phone is dead. I had my 16-year-old son look at it with his kit and they really did a number on the phone, stipped all the screws, put adhesive on everything from the back case to the screen, missing protective barriers separating motherboard and other components. Most of the connectors were not even connected properly. I don't know what Carlos's level of experience may be but judging by what we uncovered he should not be working as a phone repair tech. I normally have my cellular carrier fix any of my problems with all my devices. But it was last minute and with the covid-19 going on a lot of places were closed. I did a walk-in to big Al's and man I don't regret it at all! They make you feel welcome & they really have knowledge about almost anything you can think of that has to do with devices. CAUTION DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!!! If you are looking for great customer service, honesty, integrity, and professionalism from ownership when resolving issues, this is NOT the company. The first red flag was the inappropriate conversations being discuss in the background that I could hear clearly over the telephone. I phoned Big Al's Cell Phone Repair on 01/28/2016 at 10:30 AM and spoke with someone in regards to repairing the screen of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I was quoted the price of $125.00 and was told that they current have one screen if I gets there before 5 PM they could fix my phone the same day. I explain to the guy I work in Allen, TX, and it will be right at 5 PM. I called Big Al's back at 4 PM when I left work to make sure they still had the screen and also verified the price to repair. I was still quoted $125 before I headed to the phone repair shop. Big Al's price was lower than other places I checked. I made it to Big Al's a little earlier than 5 PM and the guy that took my phone asked my name and put it on a sticker on the back of the phone. I asked about a receipt/claim ticket with the prices on it the guy stated they do not give out any. I then placed my phone number on the sticker and asked is the $125.00 including tax he stated no. I called the repair shop the next day around noon, and my phone was just being worked on, and I was told it would be ready in the next hour. I left work at 4 PM and showed up around 5:30 on 01/29/2016 to pick my phone up. Upon receiving my phone, I notice that the silver casing around the screen was severely damaged and asked the tech what happened. The tech stated that he just took the new screen and its casing and put it on my phone. He then said if I wanted my casing back, he could do that, but my phone would not be ready until tomorrow. I cannot understand for the life of me why someone would put a damaged casing on a phone that had no damage to its original casing. I flipped the phone on the back and noticed that someone wrote $189.44 on the phone, which was not the price I was told on three different occasions. I asked to speak to the manager or owner, and that is when I met the most unprofessional owner. I explained to Big Al that the price I was quoted three times twice over the phone and once when dropping my phone off was $125.00. Big Al's stated that he would not honor the price, and it would be $189.44. Big Al stated that the employee gave me the wrong price and he could not make any money repairing my phone for $125.00. He then stated that he would take my phone (that he has had two days at this point) and place the broken screen on the phone. I explain to Big Al that I have driven to his location two days and would have to make a third trip from Allen to pick up my phone rather he repairs it or not, and this has been very inconvenient. I explain to Big Al that his employees are an extension of him and his business, and he should be more than willing to accept his mistake. This was not the case with Big Al, I made a third trip to Big Al's to pick up my phone and paid the $189.00 and had to demand a sales receipt. I informed Big Al at the time of picking you my phone that there are consumer protection laws that protect us (the consumer) from this type of unfair business practices. I assured Big Al that I will make sure this does not happen to another customer. They advertise "same day cellphone repair" but its most definitely not true. I went to this establishment a while back to see about getting an iPhone's camera fixed. I was instructed to leave the phone there and to call back within a few hours, which I did. I called back later at the time instructed and was told that it would be ready at later specific time. Seven hours passed from the original time I dropped the phone off and they said it still wasn't finished, then I was told it would be ready the next morning. The next day I arrived around noon and the device was STILL NOT REPAIRED! The guy behind the counter literally told me that it was "still in the pile in the back" and that they hadn't had the chance to look at it yet. Then I was asked if I wanted to take the phone elsewhere.. they didn't even want to try to keep me as a customer, they literally told me to go somewhere else. I didn't even make a fuss, I took my phone back and never returned there again. I don't know how they can afford to remain open offering that kind of customer service. read more

Terrible work. Basically ruined my new Galaxy S6. Quoted a price for screen replacement, then jacked up the price because they damaged the back and had to replace it too. Got phone back but mounting tape was blocking backlight on button, so I took it back. They kept it another whole day (3 days total) and when I picked it up the inside of the screen has a smudge in it, it is scratched on the under side of the glass, backlight still looks funky, and both front and back are falling off because they tried to reuse the original tape. Worst possible job, and this was a $250 repair! Very unprofessional too. Every time I went in they had friends hanging out joking around and cutting up. You're better off ordering the parts, watching a YouTube video, and fixing it yourself. read more
