Not the most ideal place for repairs. They are very apathetic. Also charge way too much for parts. The same part online is costing a quarter of what they are charging you. After declining service they tried to offer a lower price on "labor" but it's no where near it should be for a small repair on a $30 part online. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I did receive my money back which was actually fair of them to do. A positive thing I can say is that John at least cares about his reputation. Called about getting a wallbox jukebox repaired. Guy on the phone said yes they can do that. Took it to them, explained what was wrong and paid them a $195 diagnostic fee. Kept it for four weeks and everytime I called said they were looking for parts. Same story every week when I called. Finally, after four weeks went back and picked it up. (They never called the entire time) The only thing that I saw that they did was cut off the power cord and replace it with another. They still had NO IDEA what was wrong. He was very humble & apologetic for the problems encountered with my karaoke machine. He has since taken care of the issue which goes a long way with me. I am thankful he has resolved the issue. My business with Atlas Electronics has been limited to DLP TV lamps (two in three years), but if that's what you need and don't want to wait (or can't), they're the place to go. They carry both "OEM compatible" lamps and the real deal (Philips in my case), and of course, expect the real thing to cost more. I brought my lamp in, still in its enclosure, and they replaced the bulb using a new "bare bulb" right in front of me while I waited. This was good, because you can clearly see that you're dealing with the right part; once in the enclosure, you can't see the branding (at least in my case). The people are friendly and efficient, and although the place is in an industrial area, it's pretty easy to get to and get back on your way afterward. read more

I had to keep calling to get an update and finally I went to the store. Also one pair of my headphones they broke the screw and didn't even offer a replacement. Piss poor company at best. I ended up just writing this review to let you guys know they are horrible from the customer service to actually repairing. Took my number down and gave it to the manager to give me a call back. Great customer service, unlike other repair companies who just wanna get you off the phone ASAP and can be quite rude, the person I spoke with was the exact opposite. I requested a quote via Yelp after hours and received a response a few hours later! I brought in my TV to see what was wrong with it and a day later they got back to me with what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. Luckily for me, my extended warranty was still good (first time I've ever benefited from an extended warranty ha!), so I had to go through the warranty company for the repair. Update: John, the business manager, reached out following reading about my experience. A good majority of the situation was the result up to miscommunication. Diagnostics had indeed been run, and a part had been ordered for my monitor (though, on the HDMI port). Things just weren't written down, and the technician wasn't in office when I went to retrieve it. So it was an unfortunately perfect storm of bad luck on everyone's part. John was apologetic, and wants to ensure I get a better experience. Offered to have me bring it back in to get things sorted out. Definitely wanted to take this interaction into consideration when reflecting back in the review. So I've updated the review tentatively, and may give another update if I decide to go back in and get their assistance with the monitor. ---- I took a computer monitor into Atlas Electronics after corresponding on the phone with a gentleman I assume to be the owner of the business (who was great). I'd say, probably 01/26/21 is when I dropped it off with them. I explained that I was having issues with my screen intermittently going black for a second or so at a time. Dropped off the monitor and cable I was using (a display port cord) for them to use to test it. I paid the "Diagnostic Fee", which was explained would go towards the repair once an estimate and diagnosis was given. ~Two days go by, haven't heard anything so on Thursday or Friday (either 01/28-01/29) I reached out. I did not speak to the owner this time, but a younger guy. I let them know that I had dropped it off, what it was, etc. The, verbatim, response I was given was: "Okay, well we're waiting on some parts to come in. They should be here Tuesday, so if you haven't heard from me by then give us a call." That led me to assume they had an idea of what was going on and had perhaps ordered parts for it. Tuesday rolls around, and I hear nothing from anybody at the shop. Wednesday rolls around, still hearing nothing from anyone. I give the shop a call, I explain that I was told to call on or after Tuesday. The younger guy I spoke to explained that 'Nick' was the guy WORKING (exact words) on it, but he was currently out... but that he would tell him to give me a call that evening to let me know about the estimate. Sounds good to me, so I wait. Wednesday evening comes and goes, and I never got a call. This morning (Thursday) I have to, again, call the shop to get any info on the situation. A younger girl answers the phone, she took my name and left for a moment to go check for me. When she comes back I'm told: "Yeah, so we've been watching it for TWO days trying to get the issue to replicate but we can't. So you're free to come pick it up whenever is convenient." It was then that I began to get aggravated, for a few reasons: A.) I was told at the end of the previous week that they were "waiting for parts to come in" and that I should hear from them by Tuesday. This, as I think is reasonable, led me to assume that there had been some diagnostics ran on the monitor. That was not the case, apparently. B.) I did not receive a call on Tuesday as I was told, nor did I receive any follow-up on Wednesday, and lastly I did not receive the phone call Wednesday evening like I was supposed to. So I had to, consistently, badger the shop to get ANY INFO on my monitor that they had now had for over a WEEK. C.) I'm now being told that there weren't any parts ordered, no diagnostics ran, and that they have only been working with it for TWO DAYS. Meaning, they did NOT start anything UNTIL Tuesday (02/02/21). Which means I was misled on the phone the week prior, and have been given the run around. I arrive at the shop, and go to the back to pick the monitor up. The young lady gets the attention of one of the techs who I have a conversation with that goes something like this: I ask about any diagnostics or tests ran on it, and his response is: "No, we've had it plugged in for two days with the HDMI CORD and can't replicate the issue." To which I reply, "Okay, and did you test it with the display port cable I left?" He says no. I say "Well I left the cable for a reason. The issue isn't occurring with HDMI cords, just the display port." To which he says "Oh, I didn't know that. But usually if its a panel issue then it will happen regardless of which cord." A fact that I didn't need explained to me. Because the issue COULD very well NOT be a panel issue. BUT perhaps one like... a faulty DISPLAY port? Which they didn't even consider testing because incorrect assumptions and LITTLE effort were made. Overall, the experience has been awful and incredibly frustrating. I ultimately wasted a week of my time, 2 hours worth of gas, and $27.00 on "diagnostics" which only consisted of them misleading me and watching the monitor screen for two days. No cord testing, port checking, nothing to test the functionality of any parts. read more

So far so good. I had a 65 inch Samsung that had an issue with a couple of parts. The folks at Atlas were able to find me a reasonable solution to allow me not to have to scrap the five year old Samsung. I've been using it for a couple of days now and runs as good as new. They keep you informed every step of the way and run a very honest business. Hopefully I won't have an issue with my electronics again but if I did I would highly recommend these folks. read more

This place looks like Zeus' shop in the third installment of the "Die Hard" movies....only minus the type-casted African American men in do-rags hangin on the corner and the angry shop owner wearing cat classes with a loop out of the 60s. I was greeted by an older man and some young ladies at the register. Everyone was very polite. I went in to replace a lamp on a Mitsubishi home theater projector that I attempted to replace myself. As I sat the projector down on the counter and began explaining what the issue was, the older man started grabbing a screwdriver and removing the side panel of the projector. In the midst of this I asked how much it will be, and he said "$25" as he removed the side panel. Within seconds, he pulled the old lamp out and proceeded to tell me that I should replace it with the manufacturers original part. He gave me a brief tour of the bevy of parts he has for sale, then made sure that my projector was working properly. I handed him my card to pay, he gave it back and told me to have a nice day...I did. GO HERE! read more

These guys assured me my amp would be in working order and upon approving work, they would guarantee I had a working amp. I even asked before approval-"What if it doesn't work after you fix it?" The guy on the phone said, "We will make it right." They claimed it was working when tested at their shop, but I never saw proof of this. All I know is they did not stand behind their work and thought since I was a white female they could get one over on me. I tested my system with another amp and saw there was nothing wrong with my system. Their technician did not even speak English so he repeated the same phrase over and over. After spending $350 on NOTHING, they wanted me to go see some other guy and pay another $200 to test my system. No freaking way dude. So anyway, making it right would involve some kind of refund if you are too incompetent or inexperienced to provide the service I am entitled and paid for as a customer. SHADY, POOR BUSINESS RELATIONS, CRAPPY CLIENT SERVICE SKILLS, POOR COMMUNICATION. They didn't want to honor their work. The owner said he can't help me because he already paid his technician. Found the principal very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He replaced the light tunnel on my 73" DLP Mitsubishi and it works great, no more shadow. This repair looks simple until you look at the YouTubes and see it could take you hours yourself....and might work or might not. Two of the reviews posted here are by morons and you should ignore. No business can take in items to look at for free, and the $25 inspection fee is very fair. And no, a small solder job that takes 10 minutes if you know what you are doing is still worth $50, since you would need all the equipment and lots of time to do it yourself. Read on if you'd like to know why. These clowns quoted me a low dollar amount to do two solders on an old video game board and they would complete the work "while I waited." Ecstatic, because I thought I could have quick resolution, I took the board out of the game and brought the replacement part to the store to make their work even easier. Upon arrival, the low quote turned into $50 for a 10 minute soldering job that would take "an hour." I walked out and took the work to Amni Electronics. The folks are friendly and hospitable and they do good work in a relaxed, familial environment. After watching tons of YouTube videos and fidgeting with extremely small screws, I accepted defeat and gave up on replacing the bulb in my company's projector myself so I found Atlas Electronics on Google and visited the store the next day. Turns out the bulb I had purchased on Ebay was defective. They made sure I saw the difference between the defective bulb and the new bulb before installing - love this, as I clearly can't tell a bulb is defective on my own and some stores only want to sell you their parts. Atlas had the bulb I needed in store (while Best Buy, OfficeDepot, StarPower, etc. did not). They successfully replaced the bulb within minutes - I was in and out in about 15 minutes! Before leaving, the staff made sure I was satisfied and happy with the results. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely return when needed. read more

This was one of the top customer service experiences I've encountered in a long time! Contacted Altas via Yelp after closing time one afternoon and received a response one minute after opening time the following day. Had two Samsung televisions in need of repair, one too large for me to transport. They offered to come out to the repair the large television... transport issue resolved. They came out the same day, within hours! Repaired television number 1 at residence, and took television number 2 for diagnosis. Within a couple days, television 2 was diagnosed. They called with details and to obtain repair authorization. Repaired television 2 and delivered back to residence. Within a week, what more could a person ask?!?! read more

These guys were fantastic. We accidentally screwed through the circuit board while mounting our Samsung 55" TV. We dropped the TV off at 10 and picked it up working like new by new. Parts and labor (2 new circuit boards) were less than $300. Hopefully we won't need them again anytime soon, but will definitely use them if we do! read more

Wow, my projector bit the dust. I called these guys and they said bring it in. The place is hopping with all the repairs. When I walked in, they immediately took the projector apart on the front counter. The housing and bulb were trashed and it left all kinds of burnt material. Within 15 minutes, I was asked to come to the back. The projector was plugged in and running with better color than years previous. When I left, I couldn't believe they saved my $1700 projector on top of we were getting ready to go buy another one. These guys are great. We had a projector lamp go out over super bowl weekend - really inconvenient to say the least! I called Atlas Electronics on Sunday afternoon a few hours before the game and got no answer and by looking at yelp it looked like they were closed. Well, the guy who runs the place called me back and chatted with me about my needs. He was the only place in town I could find all weekend that actually had a replacement lamp in-stock and he offered to meet me at his shop even though he was technically closed. He went above and beyond to take care of my needs and advise me of the choices he had for replacement lamps.
