They serve up standard breakfast fare including eggs, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, omelets, breakfast sides, and US Foods coffee. For lunch, they serve up sandwich platters, burgers, wraps, soup, salads, chicken tenders, hand cut fries, sweet potato fries, fried cheese curds, desserts (pies, ice cream, strawberry shortcake, cookies), and Pepsifountain drinks. They also post daily specials. The place is pretty casual with stained glass overhanging lighting, table seating and stools up at the lunch counter. I stopped by here for a lunch break recently on my way out to Syracuse. The place was fairly busy just before 1pm. I got an ice water and decided on a posted special, which was the Country, Fried Chicken ($15.99 plus tax) served with mashed potatoes and veg of day. My entrée was served in 18 minutes after ordering. The portion of food was just right. The breaded cutlet smothered in a thick cream gravy was thick and actually a medium rare beefsteak inside. I was going a steak knife too. The homemade chunky mashed potatoes were also smothered in a thick cream gravy. The veg of day was cream of spinach. I finished my plate of food and requested the check shortly afterwards. The check was $17.27 with tax and before tip. Overall, I enjoyed good comfort food in a busy local restaurant. The service was hectic as the place was quite busy and the staff was working together to get things done before they closed up for the day at 2pm.

The coffee tastes like specialty roastery coffee which was such a pleasant surprise. It can get busy but servers are on top of it and everyone is very friendly. It's a lovely local spot.

Chef Andrew and owner knocked it out of the park tonight. Spouses shrimp special with mushrooms and spinach over pasta. Bread licking good . Lamb chops 3 of them were good. Cooked perfectly Yukon mashed and vegetables also very good. Starter, no pictures, we ate them before pictures were excellent. Shared a wedge salad and small clams casino . Service by Todd was very good. Worth a drive and highly recommended.

The menu is a mix of a chophouse with a large selection of chef selections from paella, pasta and schnitzel. The chef is a CIA graduate which is surprising to find in Central NY. The food was fresh and i noted that the chef makes his own bread, dressing, aioli's and desserts. It's clear the chef puts care into his work. We ordered - house salad - solid salad with house dressing. nice, nothing crazy - onion soup, this was excellent. really well done, from the croutons, cheese and flavor. wow - calamari - the only thing we didnt love - chicken schnitzle - excellent, authentic - scallops - fresh, perfectly cooked. a bit too sauced, but great - creamy garlic and spinach pasta - our kids didnt love, but decent The desserts were great as well. The restaurant was very accommodating to our casual attire and 3 young kids. Amazingly kind. The entire experience is a bit like going back in time, the historic nature of the setting is hard to explain, but you really feel it.

Everything is homemade, many dishes cooked to order . Pastries, pies, cakes, breads are attractively displayed. The menu is not fancy and features homemade soups, chili, salads, breakfast and lunch dishes, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, etc. I opted for the chili and was told it was mild and if I prefer more heat the chef would add more spice to the recipe when served. I enjoyed my chili ,topped it with onions and cheese which cost a bit extra with sour cream on the side . It was most delicious . My dining made ordered the California Reuben a sandwich of turkey swiss cheese , sauerkraut on Kimmel rye He said it was very tasty. His came with a side, many choices but he ordered the potatoe salad which was very creamy and tasty. Portions were good, food plated nicely. Hot food came out hot . Prices very reasonable. The restaurant was filled with customers, and was clean and neat. The restaurant is closed mid December to mid March and normally closed on Tuesdays. We think a great little find on our way to Albany.

I had a Cuban, very well prepared, especially being so far from Hanava. The coleslaw was crisp and delicious, it appeared to be home made. I said "I know, I took a picture", haha. Skip MacDonald's and stop at Chief Schenevus Bakery and be delighted

The ceiling tiles were out of place and each wall was a different color. No one greeted us at the door for a few minutes. Once finally sat, the lady asked us the general questions. There was no " hi how are you ". She seemed like she just hated everything about her job. Once we got our order taken, we were able to give a look around. Floors were disgusting and tables sticky. The food was undercooked and had no taste whatsoever. The music blasting from the kitchen was very distracting. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was a mom and pop location...we will not be back.
