    Chicken "flatbread"
    Kailey O.

There was only one waitress on staff during the winter festival, and a few tables were seated so I wasn't expecting great service. The tables were slanted and we were worried that our glasses would slide off. Dusty and poorly lit. The house wine was HORRIBLE. And the Smithwicks beer was flat and tasted like its been sitting for months. Popovers that they give you instead of bread were yummy. The calamari had a hair in it. Gross. The chicken in my "flatbread" that was just an attempt at a gyro tasted microwaved and was so chewy. The wagyu burger was surprisingly good despite it looking so unappetizing. I was disappointed to spend $70 on lunch here and would not come back.

We stay here every time we come to central NY. We stay here so often that we are on first name basis with the staff. We have family in NY so we visit 6+ times a year. We stay in a suite. I don't know what the other rooms look like. We have a beautiful sitting room. Our bathroom has a extra large soaking tub with jets. (Easily fits two). It also has a shower. Our room also has a kitchenette. We have a lovely view of Cazenovia. Cazenovia it's just a quaint town in central NY. The shops are all small business. The service you get is wonderful.

Crab cake and the vegetable flatbread. All of meals served with fresh popovers that's worth the trip alone

Always a favorite for my wife and I. Nice variety of menu items from salads, sandwiches to full dinner items. Plus one of the few places that serve popover a classic I used to serve. It's down stairs great atmosphere my favorite in Caz.

    Poems are burned.

Food is mediocre, not the most flavorful, but not terrible. Seafood bisque was ok. Popems were burned. What is up with dish towel rather than a napkin?

We went to Sunday brunch at the Lincklaen Inn, it is $16 for a huge buffet spread, it was very busy and I highly recommend making a reservation before coming. The food was phenomenal; they have an omelette station tons of pastries, strawberries with hot chocolate sauce, just so much to choose from. They serve mimosas and bloody Mary's. Not as many options for kids and would not recommend it for young kids. There are lots of little shops to explore and the waterfront is a close walk. Will definitely be back!

I dare you to find me someone who went to school in Cazenovia that doesn't have memories of the Lincklaen House. During my years in Caz I visited the Lincklean for the following: Lunch w/ parents during family weekend. - BBQ Chicken Pizza - always delicious. Fancy dinner date w/ the main squeeze. - Popovers are awesome and make dinner feel a little fancier. - Buffalo Chicken Sandwich - our go to. Senior Class Dinner. - Chicken Picata with potatoes & a melody of zucchini, squash and carrots was obviously better than any cafeteria food. Yum yum! Saturday nights w/ the gals @ Seven Stone Steps. - One of my favorite spots to cause trouble. - Location of my 21st Birthday celebration. - Fabulous bartenders who were known to make up drinks (I hope for the sake of current college kids this is still going on.) - Live music on the weekends. Wedding. - Lovely back garden. - Elegant rooms available for folks to stay. - Nice acoustics for a DJ and plenty of room for a dance floor (buffet set up in a different room). If I happened to be rolling through Caz in the future I would absolutely stop by the Lincklean. Whether in the main dining room upstairs or the tavern downstairs there is a bit of elegant with good food and a decent price tag that you just don't get many places in the area.

There's nothing worse than going to a favorite spot and finding a long wait when you have tickets to be somewhere. I made reservations for 5:45 and was promptly seated by a lovely hostess. Laci's is such a cozy place with no overwhelming music to interfere with conversation. Our server Katie arrived to introduce herself and gave us a few minutes to look over the drink menu. Katie was friendly and helpful, explaining some of the dishes on the menu. Tapas menus are always fun to read and allow you to taste a variety of different things. Food comes out, one dish at a time which gives time to share and not rush along. We ordered a cold salad and a winter salad, a flatbread, shrimp and cheesy grits as well as sliders. Everything is fresh and made to order and served at the proper temperature. I also tried a cocktail that I loved, a Sparkling Ruby (vodka, Prosecco, and pomegranate). Service is terrific, food is wonderfully prepared and the ambience is intimate. Great experience.

She brought us Cucumber water which was absolutely delicious. She told us about specials and about ordering tapas. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. It was a fantastic pour and the light fruitiness of the wine was perfect for the big flavors of the food we were about to explore. Bacon Wrapped Jalepenos. Sometimes I can't handle spice but I'm so glad we ordered these. They were balanced perfectly with all the ingredients and the poblano sour cream dip so that you could taste the flavors and a little heat but it cooled quickly. These "poppers" were crispy and way better than battered and fried! Grilled Asparagus Aranchini. If you don't like Asparagus, try them anyway. It is not an overpowering flavor in this dish. I usually eat aranchini with a tomato sauce but the Lemon Beurre Blanc it was served with was absolute perfection. Shrimp & Grits. Perfectly cooked shrimp topped the most delicious cheesy Grits. Bacon and Scallions put this dish right over the top. Portobello & Truffle Flatbread. Portobello mushrooms, goat cheese, Truffle oil, and arugula. Flavor Bomb! We had our eye on dessert too but apparently we ordered too much food. We were both so stuffed! Marianne checked in with us several times and kept refilling our waters before they were needed. She was one of the best servers I've had in a long time. It had been many years since I've been to Laci's. I can assure you I will go back much sooner this time.

The menu is a mix of a chophouse with a large selection of chef selections from paella, pasta and schnitzel. The chef is a CIA graduate which is surprising to find in Central NY. The food was fresh and i noted that the chef makes his own bread, dressing, aioli's and desserts. It's clear the chef puts care into his work. We ordered - house salad - solid salad with house dressing. nice, nothing crazy - onion soup, this was excellent. really well done, from the croutons, cheese and flavor. wow - calamari - the only thing we didnt love - chicken schnitzle - excellent, authentic - scallops - fresh, perfectly cooked. a bit too sauced, but great - creamy garlic and spinach pasta - our kids didnt love, but decent The desserts were great as well. The restaurant was very accommodating to our casual attire and 3 young kids. Amazingly kind. The entire experience is a bit like going back in time, the historic nature of the setting is hard to explain, but you really feel it.

However, did love the elevated feel of a typical American bistro. We thought the service could've been more attentive, but improved as the evening progressed. Our waitress was super nice and was helpful in explaining the menu specials and answering any questions we had. Most notably on the menu, the NY strip was a perfect medium rare. We opted to get the 4 jumbo shrimp on the side, which we thought retained a nice snap when we bit into it. It was also well seasoned, while still displaying its freshness. The fries complemented the steak, but was too well done for our liking. Our other entree, the lobster mac and cheese, had a nice cheese pull. We liked the added roasted tomatoes in the baked mac and cheese, which gave it a necessary acidity that countered the creamy, cheesy roux. For our appetizer, we chose the meat and cheese board, which was really solid. Appreciated the waitress explaining the selection, as well as the addition of a sour cherry jam and pickles on the side. This gave us a lot of mix and match options (64 to be exact), and we also liked how it came with charred/toasted bread. Finally, we wrapped up with a chocolate peanut butter parfait and key lime pie. Both were really good (get both if possible, but we liked the latter more).
