It's not fancy, but it hits the spot. I had a burger, my kids had chicken fingers, and we all had fries and ice cream. And all of it tasted good, and it was served up by some nice girls in the window. There's nothing I'd like to change except the fact that one of my kids just seems to use food as a spoon for ketchup. My favorite of their hot dog offerings is their Hofmann Natural Casing German Brand Franks. They have a great flavor, mild but well rounded. The natural casing gives the hot dog a good snap as you bite into it. Hofmann makes a great hot dog and this hot dog is a German style pork and beef frankfurter. Price is about along the line with other decent quality hot dogs. They also go on sale at a BOGO (buy one, get one free) on a somewhat regular basis. Not too often, but often enough. Hofmann hot dogs are extremely popular up in upstate New York around the Syracuse, New York area. Again, they are a quality hot dog and once you try them, I think you will like them. I started out with Pierogies (4 for $6.50 plus tax) which came out hot, 4 pan fried potato filled Polish dumplings with sauteed onions & sauerkraut and sour cream. These oily firm pierogies were really great and I enjoyed each bite. Next, the Low Country Shrimp & Grits ($17.95 plus tax) was a modest portion with soft stone ground grits smothered with a creole sauce, Gouda cheese, andoulle sausage slices and three grilled very firm seasoned shrimp, no tail and cleaned. This Southern style dish had a nice spicy flavors and the grits were not too hot. I was all set after finishing my food and got the check which was $26.41 with tax and before tip. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal with good service. The bartender checked up on me asking how the food was and offered refills on the ice water. Food was very tasty and well prepared. It was not hot. I didn't really mind so much because it was good. And I was hungry. Salad bar potion of the buffet was mostly empty. Little disappointed in that. Service to our table and bar tender were very friendly and on point. The restaurant itself was very nice and had a great atmosphere. I will be back and hopefully have a five star experience and review to follow.
