Food was served hot & tasty. BLTs, burgers, and a HUGE California Club sandwich. Bill with drinks for a party of four under 35 dollars. Establishment was clean with plenty of seating, TVs, huge parking lot, fully stocked bar, free WiFi out in the middle of NOWHERE. What more do you want off the trail? I agree the campsites didn't seem "private". Doesn't take away from the fact the owners & employees deliver and support the powersport industry. I give 5 stars.

It was closed for quite awhile due to staffing shortages, we were told. Drove over 30 miles to get here, as it is out in the middle of nowhere. We parked near the building in the shade, as we had a dog with us. The prices were crazy high and menu was crazy small. After ordering, I went out to move our vehicle to in front of the entrance, after another vehicle had left, so we could keep an eye on the pup. When I came back in, the $8 French fries (dry and hard) had just been brought to the table, and I was informed by the owner (I think) that I had to move the vehicle. The place was empty, and no other cars in sight. She argued with when I protested. So, for a large salad (it was good) and fries (we split both) and one soda, it came to $30. We left a 5 cent tip. Not worth the drive.

After seeing the iconic Balsams, we were hungry and had the Reel Craft Pass. So we checked the brew houses and came up with Coös. Definitely the right choice. Entering the warehouse type setting, the brew mechanisms are on the left and the building's nave hosts several picnic benches , some really comfy sofas with side tables at one end, and on the other end, the service bar and kitchen. Bathrooms were at the entrance to the building and they are immaculate. The three servers on duty were charming and friendly, knowing everything about their trade and offerings. The cheerful welcome we got wars a part of the festivities. We ordered a Double Raspberry Sour - so good we had another one.... Then a Dooryard New England IPA, hoppy and aromatic. And then our last one was the Woodland Wit, a citrusy wheat beer with spices. Foodwise, we ordered the Veggie Lovers Personal Flatbread-Style Pizza, a delicious veggie pizza with a crusty base, and the Pepperoni & Burnt Haoney flatbread, delicious. We sat in their expansive outside seating area overlooking the beautiful Vermont peaks across t the river. A wonderful lunch ina spectacular place with superb brews.

Nestled right out of town, in the Industrial Complex, Coös (co-ahs) Brewing doesn't disappoint. Plenty of seating available publik-house style, with comfier accommodations around the perimeter, and additional outdoor seating to take in the beautiful Mountain views. Beer flights of 4 and 6 available, in additional to a solid 8 rotating taps in various styles. Food menu is also available if you're feeling peckish. If you're taking in the sights via side-by-side or general leaf-peeping, checking out a new brewery and getting a nice brewski doesn't hurt.

Today, we hit the nail on the head. Just opened for the day we parked in front. Walked up the stairs and read the sandwich board with specials. Walked in to a cozy environment with wood accents, musical instruments on the wall, local artists work on the walls (also for sale), tiny flower vases on each table was very inviting. We chose to sit at the bar. Bartender was happy to see us and gave us specials information and told us to just holler when ready. Menu had a good variety of food I chose the chili and hubby their smash burger. Kitchen is located directly behind the bar. It is sparkling clean! The stainless steel was glowing it was so clean, I LOVE that having worked in F&B. While waiting bartender made small talk which we like, not overly sharing but enough to feel seen. Chili came with homemade cornbread that was toasted and out of this world DELICIOUS!! Chili was really good too. Not too spicy, thick with diced tomatoes, tinier peppers, and nice pieces of meat. Wowza was that good. Smash burger did not disappoint either, hubby said it's one of the best burgers he has had. They have a full display case with their homemade desserts so you can see before you buy. I was stuffed so did not take up on the offer. We did get a glance at the chef when we came in and asked the bartender to please give our compliments to the chef! Make sure to check for their hours, they open later than other places on Saturdays. They have a food truck outside, maybe they cater? Lots of outdoor seating for the nicer weather. If you are in the Western Mountains of Maine, don't drive by, stop and grab some amazing food!
