We expected busy, and the dining room had several tables full, plus the patio. What we didn't expect was the oddly long wait for pretty much everything. It seems as though the burg wants to simultaneously be gourmet and pub grub, which led to some slightly charming, slightly off-putting touches. Dining in, we got paper plates for our appetizer, which appeared an hour after we ordered it and only after we both asked when it would come out. Paper plates, an interesting choice, which also appeared only when we asked for something to eat our food with. People who arrived after us received their orders before we did. I realize different food requires different cooking time, but the guy at the next table had the same thing I had ordered. His rice bowl was in a quart-size Chinese take-away box... again, odd but interesting. When mine arrived much later, my bowl was on a plate. I had to take my friend's little cup up to the bar to get a water refill. The desserts on offer were a mixed bag including funfetti ice cream and a basil ice cream with tomato caramel sauce. My friend got the latter, and I tried a bit... lovely flavors! The food was tasty, but the epic wait time while later arrivals got their meals made us both sad. If I come up this way again, I might consider returning. I hope by then they have the plating more consistent with the food's quality. It's jaw-dropping to see an over $15 entree arrive in a disposable box and another on an actual plate. read more

Overall not bad! Environment is incredibly loud so be prepared to yell across the table and to squeeze through our tables as it's a pretty cramped place. Payment is pretty confusing as they don't take usual cash/card payment . Wasn't sure if the 20% tip we included in our Venmo total would be given to our waiter but hopefully it was! Went up to the hostess to ask how the Venmo payment worked but noticed she was taking a phone order so I waited till she had finished. Once she had, I'm not sure if she didn't see me standing right in front of her but then a group of 5 men walked in and she immediately welcomed then, chat with them, and then proceeded to seat them? Wasn't to sure why I wasn't assisted until eventually another hostess had come and helped me out. Waited 1.15 hours for 3 pizzas for a small table of 4 which we thought was incredibly long, but our waiter was awesome and luckily we had enough time to kill to keep our table entertained. Good service but the food and prices were not. Overpriced 2 Chili Hotdogs and overcooked hand cut fries for $14? They were tasty but really hard to swallow at those prices. The sweaty pizza was "meh". The burgers were nothing spectacular - even if the prices would indicate otherwise. No Veterans discount. Smoked ranch dressing was disgusting. Multiple people at our table felt the same about it. Go elsewhere for your meal. read more

We heard about this place from friends and had to try it. We were not disappointed! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We ordered the crispy Brussel Sprouts, the onion rings, the margarita pizza, the "hey there, hot stuff pizza (sausage, charred jalapeño jam with fried bread crumbs)," and for dessert a cake donut with vanilla ice cream and green tomato sauce~SO good! Went in yesterday for a late lunch , wasn't that busy . Beautiful place , wide range of menu items. I've been reading a lot about the Blueberry pizza and it was sooo yummy & the Brussels sprouts were good also . Service was a little slow, never came to check on anything . Half the food came and we were almost done before the rest came out. No drink refills neither. I will definitely drop back in next time I'm up there , maybe the server was having a bad day! read more

My husband and I visit Pittsburg about yearly and we're so pleased to have this place open up! We sat on the porch which was very nice. Love small plates and certainly didn't expect to have it in Pittsburg. The sprouts were AMAZING, the ribs were great as were the crisp potatoes. We would've tried it all but it was near close. The choices are few up here above the 45th Parallel, but this place would be great any where. I had a generous portion of Brussel Sprouts with some Jalapeno Wings that we're on the specials menu. As luck would have it, the cook, (and possibly the Ower) provided a sample of a Ramon dish with a smoke rib meat and pulled pork base and Brussel Sprout kimchi. The service from the bar tender was prompt, courteous, and easily recognizable as the only good thing that I could say about another restaurant here in Pittsburg. I am not sure how long they have been open, but if they continue to serve great food like this, they're going very popular very soon. read more

This place is amazing! Me and my boyfriend were taking a trip around New Hampshire to search for moose and so we came here for dinner. We came here after the kitchen closed unknowingly but the woman in the front (the owner's mother) decided to serve us anyways (THANK YOU!). The service was amazing and the waitress gave us ideas on where to find moose around the area. We didn't feel rushed at all while dining and the live music definitely made it so much better. The shoestring onion rings were amazing and the blueberry pizza was great. I really liked the china that they serve their meals with too. Would come back again :) read more

Stopped by the burg after a long day of snowmobiling up in Pittsburg. We were seated right away which is always a plus and the wait staff was super friendly. After hearing multiple locals talk about their famous blueberry pizza I came here with one mission in mind. I wasn't sure what to expect, naturally I was confused and was expecting something over sweet but the end product was far from it. The perfect balance of savory and sweet, definitely recommended. Stopped in on a motorcycle ride to the north country. As mentioned, the menu is short and sweet and the food is good and just a little different. We need to go back for the wood fired oven pizza. Staff was pleasant and the place is neat and clean. Prices are very reasonable. Thumbs up. read more

This restaurant just recently opened so I know they have a few kinks to work out. My husband and I ordered a roasted mushroom pizza with ricotta and sage. We asked to have some sausage on it also. When we received the pizza there was no ricotta at all. Some slices of the pizza had, at best, three tiny mushrooms on them and the sausage was barely noticeable. The pizza is wood-fired so the end crust was inedible- hard as a rock - while the bottom crust was barely browned. The beer list is quite good but the wine list only had , I believe, seven choices. It would be nice to have more wine options. It would also be nice to be offered fresh parmesan and red pepper for the pizza. We will try the restaurant again in a few weeks to see how things are. read more

Probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. Had the brisket sandwich with fries. Everything, and I mean everything was over smoked. Even the fries weren't edible. This place is a great addition to the Pittsburgh area! We are up here all of the time and enjoy most of the local options but The Burg brings welcome variety. The buffalo wings are amazing- the spicy caramel sauce is great. The pizza was tasty- we had the loaded potato pizza. Came back for lunch and enjoyed the wings- again! Also tried the yummy crispy brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. Beer selection is pretty good. Wine list was short but had nice choices. Nice friendly atmosphere! Wonderful new restaurant in Pittsburgh NH. Chef John Hamilton creates new and exciting dishes. The clam chowder was delicious and the Brussel sprouts heavenly. We were a party of six and we all loved our pizzas. The blueberry was a favorite of the table. The service was excellent and the co-owners Patrick and Jack Hamilton were always there helping and answering questions. The decor was interesting and fun with lots of unique wall art. Loved the use of church pews for seats. Upstairs was a relaxing lounge area with tv and couches. This restaurant looks like a wonderful addition to the area. I will return just to see what new creations the chef has planned for the menu. read more

Driving up to Pittsburg NH last Thursday night for the weekend, pulled into town around 9:30 and saw the lights on. We walked in and they were obviously just about to close as the staff were all busy clean and putting stuff away. The owner recognized me from past visits and invited us in, we ordered dinner and drinks. (Oh yes, they have a liquor license now.) We were disappointed by the menu, not because it's written on a piece of cardboard but rather the lack of items offered. The name made us think they served burgers... but it turned out to be a pizza and wing place (I guess that's what they're shooting for) . Someone had a plate of food that looked delicious and I was confused because nothing on the menu matched it visibly so I asked the waitress about it and was told 'his was a special meal'. Oh, okay....so I chose something nonspecial and indeed it was that! The chicken buffalo nachos which held maybe 3 specs of (I assume) chicken and had a little splash of some sauce which was tasty but barely covered 6 maybe 7 chips. A sausage "hoagie" was the "special of the day" but apparently was an afterthought because it was not listed on the special of the day board and after receiving it I quickly realized they maybe saw me coming! 14 dollars for a piece of sausage in a hotdog bun with a side of fries that were so burnt you couldn't eat them served on a paper plate. We will never be returning. read more
