My son's teacher, Dakota, made my son feel very comfortable and safe in the pool and got him to do things I never thought he would do - not just put his face in the water but fully submerge his head and float on his back, among many other new skills. Every week he would learn something new. But most of all, my son was so proud of himself after every lesson. And Mom and dad are proud, too! We will definitely be signing up for lessons again next summer, and we will be signing our youngest up for lessons once he is 3!

He's easily the best instructor at ASA - especially for the Adult Swim program! He has an incredible eye for pinpointing exactly where you're stuck and giving clear, actionable feedback to fix it immediately. In just one quarter, he solved my decade-long struggle with air exchange, got me swimming freestyle laps, taught me to tread water, and now has me working on my backstroke. I was about to accept that swimming is not for me but he truly changed the game for me. Troy also taught my baby (AQUAbabies program) -- building foundational floating and kicking skills that paid off all summer long. My youngest lovesss the water now and is comfortable and fearless. Thanks to Troy, I can finally join in on water activities and genuinely enjoy being in the pool with my kids. Also, a shoutout to Coach Hannah at ASA -- she is phenomenal, especially for toddlers and preschoolers! She took my oldest from barely being able to float to comfortably kicking, rolling over, and doing air exchange. There's a lightness to her teaching style -- exactly what that age group needs to feel safe and engaged. I understand that changes happen, but it would mean a lot to families like ours to be informed ahead of time and have a smoother transition. As a special needs family, it's not always easy to find places that can truly accommodate. There are moments I feel defeated and wonder how we'll make things work. That said, I truly appreciate the director for listening, apologizing, and working with us. With the added support, my child is now back to learning how to swim which is so important for her. Before they started, I warned their instructor that we did not expect much because both of them were very hesitant about getting in the water and often refused to even try things like putting their face in the water or doing assisted floating. Jianna did an AMAZING job with my kids, because by the end of the 4 weeks, my 5 year old was swimming unassisted in backstroke and freestyle across the pool, and practicing skills to keep herself afloat and able to safely get to the wall. My 3 year old who wanted nothing to do with the water was getting in on his own, kicking when instructed, and even attempting to blow bubbles. Jianna was so patient and positive with my kids, and they looked forward to seeing her every day. She was attentive and so knowledgeable, and was able to work with very different development and skill levels extremely effectively. She has taken away so much stress from this mom and I am extremely grateful to her and Sunsational for these lessons. Definitely will be using again and highly recommend!

I'm immensely appreciative of them for opening up and coming up with a system for those of us jonesing to get in a pool. They're a saltwater pool now (I just moved to the area, but my understanding is that they did not used to be saline), which I love as it's a little easier on skin and hair. In addition, they keep the place immaculate- every time I'm there swimming, there are lifeguards wiping down all the surfaces repeatedly, and they enforce social distancing very well. I'm really excited to get to swim here more often once things calm down.

I spoke up and told her friend that we were in line and that they basically cut. They stay patient, meet the kids where they are, and keep the focus on helping them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. It is also wildly overpriced and they are very aggressive with their billing practices. We quit in early September and they wouldn't let the drop take effect until three more bills went through.

Even during COVID, it felt overwhelming, and progress was slow. Then we switched to ASA Livermore, where, unfortunately, a teacher once pushed him into the pool despite his discomfort with water in his eyes. That experience really set him back, and we paused swimming altogether in 2023. Fast forward to 2025, we gave All Star a try. It's only been 1.5 months, and the transformation is incredible. Not only does he love the water, but he looks forward to every class. He's already jumping in, kicking, floating, and taking risk, all in just 15-minute sessions! It's definitely pricey, but the progress has made it absolutely worth it. Camille has also been wonderful... so warm, accommodating, and great with kids. The whole environment here feels positive and welcoming. We're really grateful we made the switch.

At Sherman, they are very attentive and always looking for ways to help their customers. The pool is perfectly heated, so ideal place for winter/spring lessons. The facility is nice and clean, with seating, umbrellas, and a fine mist for the hot summer afternoons.
