Empty shelves dusty and empty. The store looked unkept, racks were messy, and the overall shopping environment felt neglected compared to other locations. What made the experience worse was how uncomfortable we were made to feel almost immediately after entering the store. Within about two minutes of stepping inside, we were being followed by asset management . It was obvious and unnecessary, especially since we had just arrived and were simply looking for a few specific items we were there to purchase. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I've experienced something like this at Nordstrom. The same thing happened to me at the Westfield Culver City (Fox Hills) location after years of shopping there without any issue. As someone who has regularly spent $400 or more every visit at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, it's extremely disappointing to feel singled out and followed around the store while shopping. I just had to leave. During this visit, I also noticed other shoppers in the store (not being followed), I guess other race of people do not steal, just mines. We must be followed! I don't have to shop there. Despite what appeared to be suspicious behavior elsewhere, the focus remained on following us instead of paying attention to actual store issues or potential theft. Nordstrom employees should focus on maintaining their stores and treating all customers equally rather than making loyal customers feel targeted. We recently moved to a luxury apartment near by, but because of these experiences, I will no longer be shopping at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack.

You could spend the entire day here with an array of shops (some of them experiential), restaurants and even a movie theater. The center is well maintained and curated with purpose. The stores are hopping and no doubt these are some important doors representing a slice of global retail brought to you in a beautiful, modern environment. The hybrid indoor/ outdoor feel is very chic and the landscaping and surrounding architecture is atmospheric. It is no wonder that on any given day you will find influencers filming to document their latest finds. There are both luxury as well as mass market retailers and everything in between. While many of the top tier luxury will be found in Beverly Hills, there are still plenty of high end stores. There is also a great assortment of affordable brands too as well as some surprises like The Container Store and a Tesla Gallery. The food assortment here is astounding! Whether you choose a sit-down restaurant or a food court pick, you will have an incredible array of options to choose from. The restroom facilities are also great. They are climate controlled and clean. Love the walls that completely partition the stalls from one another and give you a sense of privacy. The only things I found off-putting about Westfield Century City was the obnoxiously expensive parking and the hopelessly dull pop music that was being piped in throughout the center. It really diminished the ambiance. It's too loud and was very distracting. I don't mind music in public places, but if you are able to lure respectable brands like this center does, please have some finesse and taste about what you play. I feel like the music would have been the same if I had gone to a kids trampoline park. Overall, great shopping center, but the exorbitant parking fees and teenie bopper music selection are detractors.

I especially love stopping by when a new holiday is around the corner. They always have fresh inventory and fun seasonal displays that make browsing feel exciting (and dangerous for my wallet lol). Huge shoutout to the employees here--they truly deserve it. Despite long lines, busy rushes, and the occasional disruptions, they stay friendly, professional, and do their best to keep everything running smoothly and safely. I've seen them handle stressful situations with patience, and it doesn't go unnoticed. It definitely gets busy, so I appreciate those rare moments when it's calm and there's no checkout line. That said, it's almost always worth it. I consistently score cute finds for my pets, kitchen goodies, and I always keep an eye out for Hello Kitty and Sanrio items! Like any Ross, it can be hit or miss some days, but more often than not, I leave with something I love at a great price. It's a big store with plenty to browse, so if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop... just don't be surprised if you walk out with more than you planned (I always do!).

That being said, ROW DTLA is a dreamscape when it comes to filming content and just catching city vibes in a safe space. Located near the Arts District this space of buildings used to be utilized for the textile industry. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed. With all this, hopefully ROW DTLA will continue to grow with more businesses and still retain its charm as time marches forward. Good for a short stay or half a day, if you're looking for things to do in LA proper, ROW DTLA is worth your drive.

It's literally right next to where Smorgasburg is being held, so we spent whatever little time we had there and didn't really explore the rest of ROW DTLA. Very clean, modern, spacious, and calming even with the crowds of people there. Felt like an oasis in LA. Though that comes with the price, seeing the businesses here. Yes they look nice but it's giving hoity toity performative LA folks vibe and I can see why rent to live in LA is so high. Nothing really piqued my interest as a non normie, but I'm sure if you are one or like these kind of non franchise, off label places, for normie looking, better quality clothes, home goods, etc. this is for you.

I was assured over the phone that someone would be available to help us. When we arrived, the associate who assisted us was polite, but unfortunately the experience felt very rushed from start to finish. I made it clear that this was my daughter's first pair of shoes, so I was hoping for a more memorable and personalized experience. Instead, I was simply pointed toward her shoe size and left to browse on my own. As a Nordstrom Influencer member, I've always appreciated the customer service and thoughtful touches that make shopping feel special, especially for milestone moments like a child's first shoes. I remember hearing about experiences where children received a balloon or a Polaroid photo, but none of that was offered during our visit. On top of that, several of the shoes I asked about were unavailable in her size. While the associate was kind, the overall experience felt disappointing and lacked the level of care and service I've come to expect from Nordstrom.

I'm seriously wondering if they are having problems or challenges hiring enough people now. It wouldn't surprise me. The days of walking into Bloomingdale's and having that feeling that you're in someplace special are long gone.
