Came here with a guest and decided to look for some of the latest coffee makers, particularly the Smeg brand. And while I didn't decide on any particular brand on this visit, the service by the staff was basically non-existent. While the store itself and the shelves continue to be filled by high end product, what good does it do you if there's no one but the occasional ghost roaming around? I'm seriously wondering if they are having problems or challenges hiring enough people now. It wouldn't surprise me. The days of walking into Bloomingdale's and having that feeling that you're in someplace special are long gone. The reviews and stars are pretty much on point for this location just as it is for this mall as a whole. And you hate to equate everything to dollars and cents, but in this now challenging economy given what's happening overseas, you would think they would do so much better. read more

I hadn't been to Boomingdale's in years. Dropped in the other day looking for Jo Malone soap (hard to find) and other cosmetics. Found exactly what I needed, and the service person was so helpful, she chatted to me about the products and did a beautiful job of wrapping up my Jo Malone soap. Also checked out the purse areas. Wow. Best selection this side of Sak's Fifth Avenue in New York. The post-covid slack was still visible, as there weren't very many people in the store, but it was a terrific stop there, fun perusing all the different departments and the staff are beyond helpful. I can easily say this location is my most favorite cause it's always well stocked and has a variety of merchandise from so many designers and companies. You can pretty much find anything for any budget. The sale racks are awesome as well. I love their shoes department and I always end up getting something every-time I visit here. I got these cute Alexander McQueen sandals that were so comfortable. Our sales associate Jose was very friendly and attentive. He was patient with my sister and I trying on few shoes. But we both ended up getting a pair. The make up and perfume department is also very nice here. So much to choose from. The store is organized and beautifully styled. During our trip to the nearby Eataly, we decided to come in here to do some clothes shopping. They always have very good selections of brands and you can find the newest and latest styles in fashion. Staff are somewhat friendly, but if you know what you want ahead of time, it's better. Just ask them for size availability if needed. Other than that, just grab what you need and check out. I first spoke with Bloomingdale's customer service, who confirmed that the coupon qualified and advised that it could be applied. I then called the Century City store and spoke with an associate named Gabriel, who encouraged me to come into the store and stated that a manager would be able to override the discount if needed. I explained that I live in Torrance and would be driving during heavy holiday traffic, yet I was still advised to come in. Upon arrival, the manager on duty, Irene, refused to honor the 15% discount and offered no reasonable solution. As a result, my trip was entirely unnecessary and could have been avoided had accurate information been provided from the start. I needed this item the following day, which is why I attempted to resolve the matter in person rather than ordering online. After an incredibly frustrating experience, I finally received the correct perfume I originally asked for -- Gentle Fluidity SILVER -- but only after I was visibly upset and pushed for a resolution. The saleswoman, Fatima, was again extremely rude during the exchange: snapping her gum, dressed inappropriately with her stomach exposed, and showing zero accountability for her mistake. Fatima is a poor representation of such an elevated and refined brand like Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Her unprofessional attitude, dismissive tone, and lack of basic customer service completely tarnished what should have been a luxury shopping experience. Let's be clear: I never asked for Gentle Fluidity GOLD. I was specific in my request, yet she sold me the wrong product -- distracted and multitasking while helping other customers. Then, instead of simply correcting her error, she gave me an unnecessarily hard time about a slightly loosened cellophane corner, which clearly happened in the bag during transit. There was absolutely no reason for a customer to be treated this way -- especially over her own mistake. Her behavior was unprofessional, unpolished, and frankly embarrassing for a brand of this caliber. I will not be returning. read more

I was unable to complete a purchase because my account was flagged for "excessive accommodation requests" when I had only made 1 purchase in the past year (and absolutely no accomodation requests)-- I was told that they were not able to do anything about that even if it was made in error and that I was unable to make any purchases until the issue was resolved by their investigation. Obviously I will never be ordering with them again as this was a huge inconvenience, but beware: you may not be able to order because of website errors and they will blame your account. read more

The material was bulky and prone to stretch. No wonder it is on sale now. Unfortunately, I waited 31 days to try to return it. Bloomingdales is a wonderful department store. This particular store is huge and is located in Westfield Century City shopping mall. It has multiple levels. Makeup and accessories are on the bottom floor. The middle floor has women's clothing with plenty of great name brands and super cute clothes. The top has home goods. The store is very clean and organized. The sales associates are very attentive and provide excellent customer service. read more

I went back today and was helped by Aida who helped resolve the problem completely. She was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Bloomingdale's changed their return policy without properly informing customers. The new return window was 30 days, but I came to return the item after 30 days. Unfortunately, they don't allow store credit or size exchanges, so I wasn't able to exchange the wrong size I purchased. So I have been a bloomingdale's customer for some time. I ordered a perfume online and when it came shipped to me it was as i opened the box it came in , the perfume was not labeled and had the name of the perfume and totally different color. I was guessing it was a manufacturer defect. I then take it in store to see if I can exchange or return it but they did not carry that perfume here. So I just wanted a refund and was over it. The worker was kind but their policies on return is quite odd. They were stating to me because it was opened they could not return it and it didn't look like the picture online. The whole time I was thinking to myself , this is why I am returning it because it doesn't look like the perfume I ordered??! It just didn't make any sense to me I brought the whole box back and the same packaged label. mind you the perfume bottle did not have something to break off to open the bottle itself to label it as "open" it was simply the box it came in was open. Found the perfect sweater in my size at Theory but noticed an imperfection in the garment weave. The rack only had one of each size so I tried my luck asking someone for help. I didn't catch the associate's name but a tall slender man wearing glasses and a suit helped me find another sweater in my size in their back stock. Went in looking for jewelry. I found something that caught my eye in the corner of the jewelry section. No one was around to help so I walked a bit to ask if someone can help me. They said they will call someone to come help me. This man comes by. Very unfriendly. He perhaps didn't think I was a real customer?(I look very young). I wanted to see several earrings to compare them but every time I asked to see a different pair, he would put away the previous pair. When I asked if he could just leave it out so I could compare them, he hesitated. Did he think I was going to steal them? When we asked what carat the diamond was on one of the earrings, he said "it's on the tag." But it was not! so he had to go to a computer to look it up. He comes back and says "6." Definitely not 6 carat! So we asked "you mean 0.06....?" He kept on repeating "6" and then he later said "0.06" Sounds like service here is horrible in general. read more

I came here earlier this evening to grab some Kiehl's products since the regular Kiehl's store had already closed for the day, and had an excellent experience at the Kiehl's station with the associate there. I went over to the gift box area and had a fine experience at that desk as well. However, as I was making my way back to the exit, I happened to stop and look at some bags in the Tory Burch section. As I was checking the price tag on one small bag, a sales lady came over and greeted me. I greeted her and went about my business. I did turn around one more time because I felt a presence behind me and she happened to just be standing right there behind me, watching me examine the bags. It was extremely uncomfortable to be stared at while trying to decide whether to buy. Rarely do I go somewhere and feel hovered over, but this was one such instance, and I'm not one to typically feel racially profiled, but in this case, I very much did - as the other two associates assisted me previously (one of whom was Black) when I was browsing in a different area of the store (and if they were watching me, they were low key about it). These 3 stars are for them. I kinda wish I'd turned around and said "I'm sorry, do I look like I'm going to steal something? I have about $200 worth of merchandise I just purchased from here in this bag." But I thought better of it, made awkward small talk to acknowledge her presence, and left. If this woman wanted to intimidate me out of making a purchase, she succeeded - and I will likely opt for any other Bloomingdale's location as a result of this incident unless I am desperate. read more

This is one of my favorite Bloomingdale's stores to visit. Just leaving a short review to say that during my recent visit, I was searching for the perfect Ted Baker dress, and Mona and Susan at this location were super helpful. While there are plenty of dressy options at this store, I was disappointed to learn that it no longer has a proper section for evening wear, which means you have to spend a lot of time visiting each designer section to search for evening wear. Nevertheless, customer service at this store is excellent. When it comes to fragrance, don't forget to visit Shannon - she has an amazing perfume nose and is a delight to explore fragrances with. read more

Unbelievably great customer service! My wife's best friend needed a pair of Gucci sunglasses for an event on a Monday (ordering them on a Thursday). Gucci was unable to locate the pair she wanted at any of their stores, but located a pair at this Bloomingdales. I was then contacted by a lady named Yessica, who just went so far above and beyond what she was required to do, to help us out. Jessica got the glasses packed up, and sold them too me over the phone. The Fedex guy had already come to the store for their daily pickup at this location, so Yessica hunted the man down in the mall and got my package overnighted to me, at no charge! Bloomingdale's customer service is TERRIBLE! Just tried calling the Century City Store to see if they have a certain women's perfume. When I was transferred by the automated voice system to "women's fragrances" I got dead silence. I called same extension again- no answer! The third time I called, I opted for "Chanel", thinking that since most people buy Chanel, surely Bloomingdale's assigned a full-time employee to that counter. No one picked upthe call. I wanted to go in person to redeem a gift card and carefully choose the perfume I had in mind. I guess that's not happening...
