    We escaped!
    Veronica S.

this was my second time playing an escape room, the puzzles were challenging enough for 2 people. we completed it in 53 min and only used 1 clue. drove from Victorville and felt it was worth the drive. our host was so much fun and got us hyped up

This was the best escape room I have ever been too. Tanner was an amazing host and you can tell he has put so much thought and detail into Dr. Ursa's room. We will definitely be coming back to do the other rooms!! Team Speedy Weenies !!

Tanner was an amazing game master! My family and I had such a fun time escaping the saloon and we definitely recommend Big Bear Escape Room!

We finished it and landed on the leaderboard! So much fun, 6/10 difficulty. There were lots of red herrings, which made the mystery more fun! Therr were a mix and match of different types of puzzles. The clues were plentiful and novel. My friends and I would come here again. GO "The Asians" WOOHOO!!

We had a great time with our 17yo escaping the cabin! Next time we'd do the more difficult room. Our host was delightful! Next time we're in Big Bear we'll be back.

Hell of an experience! Definitely will come back with an additional player to tackle "The Experiment of Dr. Ursa"

    We found the gold!

    Is this one kid/family friendly?

I took my teens there and they loved it. I would say the lost gold is kid friendly, though they may not understand some clues. A few things can scare you like something popping out or open but besides that it is very cute. One of my teens scares…

We were staying in town and was lovely to be able to walk right on over. First thing I noticed is it is easy to get lost... in a good way. There's so much to look at. So much fun things that you have to go back and look a few more times. They have package for adventures which we were super excited for. I do appreciate the effort and time they put into making it memorable for the kids. Customer service was awesome I give the gentleman 5 stars. he went above and beyond hoping to extend our experience as much as possible. My son was able to have a bucket full of stones and crystals. We love our crystals and I have my own collection. Now while some crystals were amazing; others I realized were dyed. When we took them back to cabin and showed them off... my fingers turned green/blue. It was a little disappointing knowing how expensive the package itself was. I spent about $90 for the cosmic package. Ouch. I haven't told my son they were dyed but I do believe the value should be as much as it costs. I will return for the shop itself but unfortunately most likely not the package.

When I was paying for my ticket, I also mentioned that I wanted to pay for the video. I obviously am unaware of how things are. I did t know that you would pay for the video after the ride. She just said something so condescending and rude. A little explanation of how I can preview the video, then pay for it after the die was done would have been nice. I didn't appreciate her at all. She was the elderly woman working the ticket booth around noon on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She might need to be retrained on how to give customer service.

Parking was free when we got there (Monday) First stop is the kiosk (not tickets!) where you sign a waiver. They'll give you a little zip tie to show you're cleared for rides. After that, you buy tickets per ride and line up for whatever you want to do. You will not be able to do anything without the zip tie. Total wait time for us with kiosk and for the ride was about 2 hours, but it flew by. Parents waited in line for the coaster while kids played in the snow or hopped into shorter ride lines, smart setup. If you get the blonde coaster attendant, consider yourself lucky. She's stern but fair and keeps things from getting chaotic. Big Bear celebrity status, honestly. As you can see on the other reviews haha part of the experience. Heads up: the food area was messy and the restroom was out of toilet paper (crowds + kids = chaos). Come prepared and lower expectations there. That said, the wait was 100% worth it. My daughter loved it and we'll definitely be back. Another family recommended the night snow tubing, saying it's less crowded. Coaster rides are about $20, and bring quarters for lockers or leave your stuff in the car. Also, the tubing hill here is way more fun than the others in town. Fun, busy, chaotic, but totally worth it.
