Next in line to go down
    Stephanie G.

Let me tell you that I strongly don't recommend this place. It's expensive beyond reason. I had to pay $85 for just me and my four year old!! We had to wait in line outside and once inside you have to wait again in a line that's even bigger! This was my first and last time at this place. I come to big bear every year and I always wanted to try this place but I honestly had more fun in the back yard where we stay at playing with snow and going down the little hill for free!

My three kids (ages 3,4, and 6) and my husband and I spent a few hours here for the glow night event! We LOVED it. We showed up around 6:30 and stayed until closing. We brought our dog (she had to stay outside of the gate, no biggie there are tables) and our toddlers took turns going with an adult. My 6 year old was able to ride alone and loved it!!! Overall a super fun and easy experience for the whole family. Staff was also friendly, professional and helpful. We will be returning. :)

Here's my honest review. The reality is that Big Bear is a small mountain town that attracts a lot of visitors during peak winter season which is usually during the holidays until the end of January. We cannot fault these attractions for being busy which isn't their fault. Overall, we had a good time. The kids had fun going down on the slopes. They allow you take pictures and videos which was a big plus to remember this fun activity. I mostly chose this location for tubing because it was so close our Airbnb. Maybe we got lucky but I felt the workers were all friendly and professional on the day we went. A lot of them are young high school and college students and doing their best. When asked questions, they answered and helped when they could. The parking lot is big and free but gets congested. You are allowed in and out privileges and can bypass the line. We visited some other tubing places and I thought this place had the best tubes which were large, well inflated, had handles, and a bottom cover so you can sit on it without getting your butt wet as you go down the hill. They had one covered escalator and one open escalator going up to slopes which helped a lot with the kids who got easily gassed out lugging their tubes. A few tips: - come early to avoid the long lines and maximize your time here. There was already a line forming at 930am and they open at 10am. The line quickly filled up by 10-1030am. You first sign the waiver then get in another line to pay for your tickets and lastly get in line to get your re-enter tag put on. - your whole party must be in the line to sign the waiver and get the tickets. - ideal activity for children 5 years old and older - they do not allow any bags or purses (even small ones) or outside food or drinks so keep those in the car. - bring sunglasses and sunscreen if it's a sunny day to prevent sunburn from the reflection on the snow. - pack your own lunch and snacks in your car to avoid the long food lines. You can go back to your car to eat and re-enter. - wear waterproof pants, snow shoes, and layers. - during peak hours (after 1130am until close), holidays, and weekends expect to wait in line for over an hour to get your tickets and then approximately 15-30 minutes each time you're in line to get down on your tube. Yes it's costly at $50 per person. If you want to get bang for your buck and avoid the crowds, I'd recommend avoiding anytime mid-December to end of January when everyone is on vacation. Even weekdays during the peak season were pretty busy.

This place could be great but seems as if they did some stuff half ass. Here are some tips. Get here early. We got here within 15 minutes of opening and still waited 45 minutes in line. As we got onto the slopes the line was easily 2 hours. Rides were about 10 minutes a ride for the first hour and got to 20-30 per ride around 12pm. Line to get in was still an hour and half. The waiting area has no heaters and standing water of two inches and ice so beware. Food options are like eating at the little league snack bar, but you can bring your own stuff in.

Very poorly organized and completely overpriced -- I do NOT recommend this place at all. Nothing was managed properly, everything felt chaotic, and for the amount they charge, the experience is absolutely not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

As many others have said, the staff is rude. Lines are very long, spend $95 for 2 kids to actually spend most of time waiting in line. Many adults can't afford to pay for just accompanying their kids (yes: if you want to just be around for your kids you need to wait outside or pay $45 to enter the 'arena') so they end up drinking alcohol in their car on the parking lot. There is some type of waiting room with a food booth offering pretty much nothing (pizza and dog?). The place is filthy (including restrooms), no paper towel, dirty floors, adult smuggling booze in their cups/drinks and bragging about it. It was a very sad experience. This place is a tourist trap. Do not pay $45 for this. Kids will get bored quickly as they spend most time waiting in lines.

Worst experience ever. The staff come off a little rude. During my visit this place was overly crowded, there should be some control over the amount of people let in. Not only is this place super expensive but unfortunately my son encountered an accident that required medical attention when we asked an employee for help he responded with telling me to call the paramedics myself. Not one staff even bothered asking if my son was okay. I will not be returning. **If your child is over 36' in. be ready to pay for an adult ticket.**

Great experience at Snow Play. Upon arriving the line to get in wasn't to bad but we still waited 30 minutes to get in. The later you go the longer the line will be. It was fun going down with all my nieces and nephews. Make sure to leave all bags in at they do not allow you to bring them in at first. Once you pay and are in you can go down and grab your bags if needed.

Lines on top waiting to tube down
    Kelley K.

Terrible. We arrived at 2:30pm on a Sunday, waited in line to sign a waiver, then walked straight to the counter to pay. We didn't see the small print on the pricing sign, so we paid the $45 for 6 people and that's when we were told they close at 4pm. That was about 1 hour away and they charged us the full $45 per person. I wish I could say we got our money worth but the LONG lines to go up the hill coupled with the longer lines on top of the hill were insane and not worth the money. We only got to tube down the hill 3 times, for the $270 paid that's $90 a trip. Additionally, when you're waiting in line for 20 minutes at the top kids are board and want to walk/ play but they aren't allowed to as the employees with the mega phone instruct them to come down from the hill and there is no where else to go. Our kids were so board and did not enjoy the endless lines. This was a TOTAL waste of money that feels like a shyster operation. Recommend business put up a sign at the waiver line with prices / and times. If patrons arrive in that last hour window offer 1/2 pricing or discount on "night" rate, most people will wait the hour and that will bring more business to other attractions or the snack bar. As is- do not recommend.

    Ropes course is fantastic.
    Jerry And Jen L.

Not great. The snow runs are really short... not fun at all. You wait a LONG time before getting to go down the short hill. There is not enough seating for guests. Customer service isn't great. The only positive is that the ropes course is really cool. Just go there for the ropes course and find a different place for sledding.

Parking was free when we got there (Monday) First stop is the kiosk (not tickets!) where you sign a waiver. They'll give you a little zip tie to show you're cleared for rides. After that, you buy tickets per ride and line up for whatever you want to do. You will not be able to do anything without the zip tie. Total wait time for us with kiosk and for the ride was about 2 hours, but it flew by. Parents waited in line for the coaster while kids played in the snow or hopped into shorter ride lines, smart setup. If you get the blonde coaster attendant, consider yourself lucky. She's stern but fair and keeps things from getting chaotic. Big Bear celebrity status, honestly. As you can see on the other reviews haha part of the experience. Heads up: the food area was messy and the restroom was out of toilet paper (crowds + kids = chaos). Come prepared and lower expectations there. That said, the wait was 100% worth it. My daughter loved it and we'll definitely be back. Another family recommended the night snow tubing, saying it's less crowded. Coaster rides are about $20, and bring quarters for lockers or leave your stuff in the car. Also, the tubing hill here is way more fun than the others in town. Fun, busy, chaotic, but totally worth it.

We were finally let in and checked in, where we were then told they no longer had gloves (which come with the package) to provide for us. Again, no big deal and they compensated with t-shirt instead. We went to the briefing where they teach you the rules of the trak, flag meanings, and how to operate the kart. Pay attention as this is important to maintaining track safety. When you take these karts on track man they are fun! This is not your normal K1 ladies and gentlemen! Despite these karts not at their fullest potential, coming into these corners and pushing yourself to use the entirety of the track is so fun! Each and every session the staff made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed the practice, quali, and grand prix grid race! One note, I was told there would be 30-45 minute breaks in between sessions. This was not the case. Our sessions were separated by 10, maybe 15 minute breaks which ultimately led to exhaustion and we were unable to really hang out in between the sessions. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time and will be booking another private event.

Instead, it turned into one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing customer service experiences I've had in a long time. The staff was unbelievably rude from the moment we arrived. Zero hospitality, zero professionalism, and absolutely no effort to make guests feel welcome. Isabella at the front desk, openly talked about our group behind our backs, laughing, giggling, and staring like a bunch of high school kids instead of employees representing a business. It was immature, disrespectful, and honestly embarrassing to witness. Coming from Los Angeles, I'm used to staff at least pretending to care about customers. Here, every interaction felt cold, hostile, and uncomfortable. Dead stares, rude attitudes, and an overall vibe that made it feel like guests were a burden instead of paying customers. If it weren't for the number of people who drove long distances to attend with me, I would have walked out before even getting on the track. To make things worse, being forced to purchase an annual license on top of the experience just added insult to injury. Safe to say this will be our first and last visit. What should have been one of the best days of the year with the people most important to me ended up being overshadowed by an incredibly unprofessional staff and a horrible customer experience.

For this most recent long three-day weekend in Lake Arrowhead we decided to finally give this place a try. We are two adults in our 30s with no kids. It is important to note that because honestly, this place is for children 10 and under. It is not for teens or adults. It is honestly pretty underwhelming if you are an adult, but it can be quite charming if you are a child. It is also $55 per person and $15 for parking which is a bit expensive, but I understand the inflated price due to the location and having to staff it. One thing about this place that is nice is they don't have a bunch of add-ons once you get inside, so you really do just pay one price unless you decide to get food as well. The other part of this park is specifically designed for people into mountain biking. They have six different trails ranging in difficulty from easy to difficult and about half of the visitors seemed to be doing that which we would go back specifically for. The activities for adults are pretty limited, so the main ones that we did were the bike in the air that goes around the rim of the property. This is the ride that you see in all the marketing and is the most popular. It was probably the most fun we had but it was honestly a bit scary once you get to the steepest point. It's about 50 feet above the ground so it would be quite a fall down. After that, we tried some archery and ax throwing which was surprisingly fun. After that, there was honestly nothing else that we could really do given our age and size so we headed out after that. This would be a great place to visit during December with children 10 and under because they do have Santa Claus and people in costumes and what not and each of the buildings is alpine themed and is very quaint. They also have a very large area that serves as a wedding location so I'm sure that is also another part of this place. Each race last approx. 10-15 mins. You'll walk through an arcade area upon entering. There is a counter in the center where you can choose your race packet. You will have to take a picture so be mindful of that. (something I wish i knew before hand lol) Once in the race arena you pick your own helmet and the worker will assign you a cart. The course looks small compared to K1 racing, but feels long when actually driving. Overall, it is a great date night/family outing. We really enjoyed it just racing eachother and others too.

The idea of yelp is to provide honesty and transparency. Save your money, gas and time! I drove from Corona to take my son here after I purchased a Groupon to use. As soon as we walked in, there was a rancid smell and you can tell the place is not cleaned. You're quickly reminded you're in San Bernardino. The staff is incompetent. I'm was told they couldn't honor my Groupon and offered no further assistance other than giving me full pricing. I said it was unacceptable and bad business. Never will be going back. We walked out and left. I'm not going to support a place like this. Go to the competitor.

I was surprised to see that they actually have two different 18 hole courses! We all got the 2 hour unlimited package, and we did alot actually during our time there. We did two 18 hole mini golf courses, I did a little rock climbing on the rock wall, and played a couple arcade games. I felt like the arcade didn't have many games. I was a little bummed to see that. It is a small space which I understand, but it would've been cool to have more variety and options. I like those Dance Dance Revolution games, I don't think I saw one like that there. It would be nice if the arcade was updated and had more games inside. Every employee we were interacted was great. They were friendly, helpful, and got to us as quick as they could. It's just that when we were trying to pay and get our golf clubs, there wasn't anyone at the desk and it seemed like the one employee had to help with the prize desk. And of course, there was a kid who was taking a while to pick a prize so we had a line behind us. It's not anyone's fault but I think they just lack staff. I would absolutely come again for the mini golf haha, it was a fun time.

I took out my phone because I wanted to take a picture of me and the family having fun and the rude old lady said no phones put your phone away or I would have to confiscated from you, I understand they have nothing but high schoolers working there but it doesn't mean the managers have to treat everyone like their a principal at a middle school.
