Big Bear tattoo was already pretty highly rated, and they accepted walk ins. So I popped in early afternoon and met Jareth, who did an outstanding job. What I want to say is I am still getting compliments several times a week from both older and young folks for the sleaves you guys did and I always tell them where they were done. If I walked around without a shirt I'm sure I would get compliments for my backpiece and the collage of beautiful tats on my chest and stomach( that you also did). Went in to get some work by OLEE, seemed nice and professional at first but had to go back 5 times for touch ups and to have it fixed because they gave the angel on my arm 3 feet. the next tat I got by MACKENZIE there, he said it would be 300 then took 400 helping themselves to a 100 dollar tip. I would never recommend anyone at this shop. Worst experience I've ever had read more

I called Big Bear Tattoo 3 weeks prior to coming up for my Birthday Tattoo. The person on phone seemed nice and accommodating. I Sent my tattoo to him immediately along with my $50 deposit. He told me that he would do the tattoo on my birthday but I needed to arrive no later then 2 o'clock Pm because it was a big tattoo. I explained to him we were coming from Los Angeles Area and would be there no later then 2pm. He said great I want to get your tattoo done so you can have a nice birthday dinner with your family. I spoke with this gentleman 3 times prior to coming for my tattoo he assured me that there would be plenty of time to go over coloring, placement, and any changes In the design of the tattoo; if I arrived by 2pm. The day has arrived and heading up the mountain at about 1:15pm I receive a call from big bear tattoo. Asking if I was still coming and requesting that I send another picture of my tattoo because they did not know what tattoo design was mine. They also asked when I would arrive and I assured them that I would be there by 2 and were almost in big bear. A couple minutes later I receive a text stating I needed to be there asap. Where here. I rushed down to the tattoo shop arrived by 2pm the artist is still drawing up my design and the artist looked like he was high on something. every time I asked any question regarding my tattoo he responded and said "I dont know". I asked him about coloring, size, and details of the tattoo. He just repeatedly Responded " it's your tattoo IDK" the situation got worse I felt like as a artist he was not performing his professional duties. Everyone In the shop was rude I left and told them to keep my deposit. My children went into the shop after I left asking questions about getting a tattoo and the answer was "IDK". My children said another client came in behind them asking for a business card and the artist responded "IDK". I have never been treated so rudely with no respect. I have had several tattoos done already and I would never recommend Huck or anybody else at big bear tattoo. They are all FLAT OUT RUDE PEOPLE. read more

It's been awhile since I've stopped in to Big Bear tattoo. But the shop is located in The Village. It's a small shop, but clean. All the artists are pretty laid back. Bree is my favorite though. I love her style and she's very straight forward. She does great work! Myself and 2 friends of mine got matching mountain tattoos, for big bear of course duuuuh lol :) Anyway we were all happy with our mountains. My friends both got other tattoos as well (a bee and lotus flower). Everyone was walked out happy and we enjoyed the conversation with Bree while getting our work done. I would definitely go back for more work. I just don't live in Big Bear anymore. I'd say for the mountain this is the tattoo place you would want to go to. The other places are pretty ghetto and I wouldn't feel safe getting work done anywhere else. I remember researching tattoo shops on the mountain and yeah Big Bear Tattoo was the safest option. My husband wanted to show them pics of something he wanted on his neck and back of his leg. They never even helped us. They didn't greet us, no good vibes, nothing. After sitting there for less than 5 mins, the guy asked us to wait outside. Maybe it was because my daughter was talking to me about all the pretty work on the walls and showing me which ones she liked.
