This is our second time coming to this spot before we make the drive home from the river and it is so good everytime! The people who work here are so kind and even let our pup join us inside since it was so hot. I went with a classic turkey sandwich because it is my go to and my husband got the club. Everything at this spot is extremely fresh and you can tell is made with love. I love this spot and they even brought over some meat for the pup to have as well. Fresh bread, fresh sliced meat and house made sides make Big Bellie way better choice than anywhere else in town. I'm a fan of the Big Italiano - it's a spectacular sub. This sandwich shop produces some great food. After eating here and also bringing friends here over the years I have never been disappointed. Today I wanted to try something different so I went with the spicy Italian sausage with peppers sandwich. I chose the wonderful tasting Italian roll that is fresh baked daily. This is a hot sandwich with a little spice kick. My wife went with the hot pastrami on the Italian roll. We were both liking our sandwiches however the sandwiches are very large and cut in half. We decided to swap sandwich halves so we could try them both. This was a great idea and we really liked both sandwiches with a little bit more of a vote for the sausage sandwich by both of us. Of course no visit would be complete without a side of the horseradish potato salad. I get this every time and have not found anything that comes close to tasting like it. Just ordered lunch today. I tried the "best chilli ever" which was terrible. I don't think that was even chilli more like pork and beans from a can with cut up pieces of hotdogs. Better than Blimpies! We came in at 10am to order four sandwiches for our boat trip. The folks at Big Bellie Subs got right to work on our two Big Italianos, roast beef and provolone, and club subs. Each sub was artfully assembled with fresh ingredients, a good helping of savory meat, and high quality cheeses. Per my request, they made them dry so they'd last longer on the boat but gave us the condiments on the side. The owner threw in a few sides of creamy potato salad spiced with tangy horseradish and a delicate macaroni salad.
