Honestly answer this, when you think of London, what iconic landmark do you think of? If this was Family Feud, I'm sure Big Ben would be the #1 answer. It's beautiful in the distance, and remarkable up close as well. It amazes me how the locals just casually stroll by like it's not a beautiful architectural structure. I'll always marvel at its' beauty rain or shine (glad I've seen it with both).

What an exciting legendary British landmark to see! The tower is actually called Elizabeth Tower after Queen Elizabeth II, but many people still call it by the nick name of the bell, Big Ben. The gothic tower sits close to the Thames and attached to the Parliament building. The building was designed by Augustus Pugin and Charles Barry. We did not go inside for the tour which cost £35. Ordering tickets is complicated as tickets are only released on the second Wednesday of each month and can only be ordered on line. (I don't even understand what "released on second Wednesday" means. It makes planing complicated.) Anyway, tickets weren't available for 3 months out. Great views of the Tower can be seen from Westminster Bridge. In the mornings, it is a great experience to hear Big Ben ring, counting off the hours. The clocks are said to be the most accurate clocks and have far outlasted my watches. Elizabeth Tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Definitely worth a visit and if you can order tickets three months in advance, a tour!

I mean you really can't miss Big Ben when you're in the area of the Houses of Parliament. The Gothic-Revival structure was built in 1859. Not only should it be part of sightseeing for visitors to London but it's a great landmark for meeting up with folks. "I'll meet you at Big Ben at noon for lunch" kinda thing. I mean you just can't miss it since it's nearly 315 feet tall.

Big Ben should definitely be on your checklist of London's attractions. Along with Buckingham Palace - Big Ben is an architectural icon. Please consider yourself warned when I say 'expect an enormous crowd' when visiting. Walking across the bridge over the River Thames to get a snapshot of Big Ben from the best perspective was an adventure in itself - be prepared to be pushed, shoved, forced through a rapid current of people while dodging strollers and street vendors. Once you've survived the river of people - take a moment to enjoy the view and snap some photos.

Big Ben is technically the bell inside of the clock tower, but most people often think of Big Ben as the whole tower. This is a 4-sides faced clock at an incredible part of the London attractions scene, standing at 316 feet or 96 meter tall. Big Ben is quite the celebrity finding itself as a major part of many movies and shows. We came during our first day as we explored the city in the day time and it was crowded and stressful. Fortunately we passed by Big Ben once again at night and was able to see it lit up. Wow. Absolutely stunning. It's even more beautiful at night. I recommend trying to stop by in the day and at night to see the contrast. A must visit while visiting London.

I mean... it's BIG BEN! The architecture with the house of parliament looks visually stunning, and it's just one of Londons iconic buildings! It's so easy to get to and the bridge is the perfect place to take the best pictures. Would definitely be a must do if in London.

When visiting London you have check Big Ben off of your checklist! Lucky for us we were able to stop by during the day and on our way in for the night. We really enjoyed seeing it all lit up at night time. The crowds weren't too large so we were able to get some awesome selfies and group pictures without an issue. Highly recommend keeping your head on a swivl for any signs of pick-pocketers!

What can I say about Bug Ben that hasn't already been said. Big Ben is an iconic part of London and no trip to London would be complete without seeing and hearing Big Ben. We arrived in Parliament Square late on a Sunday afternoon and into the middle of a pro-Palestine protest. Due in large part to the protest and partly due to beautiful weather, Parliament Square was packed. The crowds were shoulder to shoulder. BUT we got to see and hear Big Ben. A must-see London attraction.

Wow. What an incredible piece of history! Lovely. Just like the Eiffel Tower of Paris, France, one does not realize the size and magnitude, detail and immense beauty of 'Big Ben'. The area is touristy, and full of trinket shops. Folks say to watch your cell phone, hold it tight along with your bag, satchel or knapsack. Though nothing adverse happened when I was there - there is a potential due to the sea of people. A lovely site and one that every visitor to London should get to, as close as possible to enjoy.

I remember telling my British friend when I saw Big Ben (I know that's the bell inside and the tower is actually called Elizabeth Tower, but who are we kidding? It will always be known as Big Ben) that it didn't seem real. After seeing it in movies and TV shows, it was surreal to finally see it up close in person. First of all, I didn't know it was so detailed, like I didn't know about all the gold filigrees. Secondly, I didn't know it had a Latin inscription that says "Domine Salvam fav Reginam Nostram Victoriam Primam" meaning "O Lord, keep safe our Queen Victoria the First". Seeing it in movies and TV shows it's like, "Oh, yeah, it's that famous clock tower in London", but in person it's like, "Oh, wow, I didn't realize it's so beautiful and well crafted!" It's a definite must see for a London trip. However, at the same time, expect ridiculous crowds and it being a quick "I saw it, I took pictures of it, now on to the next sight."

One of the most iconic land marks in the world. I had forget just how big and bold the clock tower is. I love how gold and crisp it is these days. In a few days I am doing the Big Ben climb up into the clock tower. I can't wait. There are tons of great spots to get pics all along the bridge and on the other side of the river.

This is one of those iconic things about London you just have to see while you are there. You have seen it and photographs, on TV., and heard about it, but there is just nothing like seeing it in person because it is truly amazing in person. It is much larger than you can imagine and seems hue in person. It is beautiful both during the day and the night and it is a necessity to take photographs of Big Ben and with it. I walked by Big Ben about a million times and never got tired of admiring how beautiful it really is in person and it really is one of the must do stops when visiting London. read more

How good can a landmark be, if all you do is stand in front of it and look at it. Well, normally you would say "Not very good", but then there are those landmarks which are great just if you see them. Because you have seen them so many times that they become iconic symbols. Like the leaning tower of pisa. Or the Eiffel tower. Or the Big Ben. Come on, it is just a clocktower but then - it is Big Ben. Make a snapshot with your phone and show your grandparents that you have been to London... WOW! read more

It was great to see Big Ben. I saw it while driving by on a hop-on-and-off bus tour. If I had a few more days I would have wanted to explore it more. At least I got some great pictures of it while on the bus. Next time I'm in London I hope to explore it more. I'm so happy that I at least got to look at it. What an amazing site. read more

Big Ben was much bigger that what I imagined - it was almost scary! It is located at the Palace of Westminster, and I was a little disappointed because there were some renovations done beside Big Ben at the Palace of Westminster. It kind of ruined my picture perfect photo opportunties. Oh well, I'll be back to take more photos in its original form. Still, it's a must visit if you're in London. read more

Is there any building/tower in London more iconic? You know you want to go see it...you've seen it in photos and videos all your life...and it's even more beautiful in person. Even if you have a very short time in London, visiting the Big Ben is kind of a must! read more

Big Ben is a seriously cool place to visit. I mean, it's one of the most well known pieces of architecture in the world, and certainly one of the most popular clocks. Splendid. Awesome to see up close or from far off. Hard to take a picture of Big Ben without all the tourists milling about. Advice - If you find a good angle, take it in the early morn (eight-ish), there's hardly anyone about that will stand in your way. read more

One of the big landmarks of London without doubt. Actually the tower itself is called The Clock Tower, the bell inside is called Big ben. With every full hour the bell strikes, easy to hear ! The most impressive thing about the bell is, that it is so old. (build in 1859) If you dont care about such properties, then Big Ben and The Clock Tower are not a must to see ! read more

If you ever visit london this would be a good place to start and whenever parliament is in session a light shines above the clocks top. Big ben is one of londons most best known landmarks .It looks fantastic at night when its all lit up and still you can see the time. Its the one place you go to when you go to the west end.On the television Big Ben does look very substantial but until I went to see it for real, I never knew how substantial it really is! It's an amazing piece of the London landmarks and absolutely fantastic to look at and to take photos of. The detail of the actual building is amazing. Well worth a visit. read more

My husband is working closely with the finishing touches to the World Olympics, so we had the privagedge of staying in London to share with the excitement. What a breathtaking sight to see! I was wandering around on the Underground and exited at Westminster, and I nearly fell over at the sight of Big Ben. He's as massive as he is beautiful. As I fondly remember London, I picture Big Ben towering over the Houses of Parliament, overlooking the Thames, with the London Eye in the background. Big Ben is my favourite London landmark. Whenever I take friends sightseeing round London I always start with Big Ben. I never get tired of seeing their reaction when they step out of Westminster tube station and catch their first glimpse of Big Ben. A wonderous an momentous icon of Britain. Along with Buckingham Palace, this is one of the outstanding features of the amazing London skyline that is known the world over. In my opinion, it is probably Londons best landmark. The one time that this comes into its own is during New years. I think that everyone in England has stayed up on new years eve at one time in their life, and for the bell to be the first sound of the new year. Big Ben is probably the most famous clock in the world. It's known as Big Ben becuase of the giant bell which can be heard (easily!) every time the clock reaches a new hour. Big Ben is inside St. Stephen's Tower at one end of the houses of Parliament, next to the River Thames, London. This is very impressive to see close up and makes a great photograph. In the tower next to Big Ben, if there's a flag flying or a torch burning at night it means that Parliament is in session. Well worth a look before popping over the road to check out the Namco centre or the London Eye! Nearest tube stop is Westminster. On the television Big Ben does look very substantial but until I went to see it for real, I never knew how substantial it really is! On my recent trip to London I promised to show my fiancé a lot of the sights as he had never seen them before. We had the usual suspects on our list such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace on our list so our first stop was the huge Big Ben. My fiancé loved it, I loved it and my sister loved it and here is why. Ok so just in case there are people who don't know what Big Ben is. Big Ben is the huge clock tower which is in Westminster in the centre of London. it is huge and has 4 faces and actually chimes which is unusual to hear really. It is one of the largest standing clocks in the world and is an impressive sight to see. It was raised in 1834 so is very old too. Right so you are looking for Big Ben and what we chose to do was to walk straight from Charing Cross down by the Thames and it was so nice seeing all of the restaurant ferries and all of the nice architecture along the banks. You can get the tube to Waterloo though which is very close but I really do recommend the walk. Now you really cannot miss Big Ben as it is massive and takes over this part of London in my opinion as the beautiful gold structure with its imposing four faces looks amazing. It is right by Westminster Bridge and the houses of Parliament so as you can imagine it is such a impressive sight. It towers above the houses and Westminster Bridge and when you see it you immediately want to get a photo to say you have been there. My fiancé just stood there staring for ages. I seriously could not get him to move and we were there staring at it for about half hour. Have to admit though that the reason it is so nice making a visit to Big Ben is because it is such a nice area there and it is worth going to if you are in London. There is the Thames right there which is simply stunning and then there is lots to do around this area. We went over to look at the Dali museum and there was also the aquarium and the London Eye around. I have not got much more to say about Big Ben as for a sight seeing topic it is beautiful but in the end it is a clock. I love it and it is impressive to look at so I do recommend going to visit it but you will only be there for a little while staring at it. It has its reputation as it is a London sight to see and it is in a perfect area which you can spend a full day around so it is no wonder why it is always on top of 'must see in London' lists. This is one of the staple must see places for any visitor to London. Big Ben is probably the most famous clock in the whole world. This clock has been here for centuries and is a historical landmark. Come on the hour to hear the big bongs. Make sure you take a picture as you treasure this memory of your visit. read more

Since Prince Charles and Camilla do live here, Clarence House is only open 1 month of the year in August. However, if you buy tickets and sign it and get it stamped at the end of your visit, it's good for unlimited future visits for one year (though really, it's good for all of August next year because they're not open year-round). The tour is 45 minutes long and each tour is a bit different. Your guide will go over highlights that they're interested in, so if you get a different guide, you'll learn, hear, and see different tidbits and aspects of each room. Even though there are several stories, you only experience the rooms on the first floor. At the end of your tour, there is a gift shop for souvenir purchases. Beware of the condescending gentleman (if you can even call him that!) at the register who provides a snoot attitude when he deems you haven't purchased enough to receive a paper bag.

The history and the beauty of the building makes this along with St Paul's must sees in London. Because this tour was preset for mid afternoon the building was very crowded. If we had done this on our own we would have gotten the first time slot of the day. I am sure it would have been a bit less crazy. It was fascinating to see who is buried or memoralized here. You could spend hours here there is so much to absorb.

I'm sure that I visited Westminster Abbey when I was a kid, but I was visit it again as an adult. The church was actually founded in 959, but the building dates back to 1245-1269. The church has been location of the coronation of 40 monarchs and a burial site for 18 monarchs. At least 16 royal weddings have taken place here as well. The abbey is also the burial site of more than 3,300 people: monarchs, prime ministers, poets, actors, scientists... The church's Gothic architecture is incredible. I don't even know how many pictures I took of the stained glass, the ceilings, the facade, the flying buttresses.... Hundreds?! I will say that Westminster Abbey was the most crowded attraction we visited during our time in London. It's no surprise. Westminster Abbey is an incredible historic site - who wouldn't want to see it on a visit to London?! But it was packed. We grabbed our audio guide and then just stayed patient as we got stuck in traffic jam after traffic jam in the abbey. I can't imagine that Westminster Abbey isn't on everyone's itinerary for a first trip to London. It should be!

Fourth the ice cream parlor blocks the possibility view to the palace from a distance view. I think the visit compare to many attractions in the London is not the best. Not sure to recommend this visit.

Big Ben is one of the most recognizable landmarks in London and one of those places that feels just as impressive in person as it does in photos. We walked up from Westminster Abbey and found the clock tower immediately dominating the skyline, its detailed Gothic architecture and unmistakable clock face standing out against the gray London sky. Even having seen it countless times in movies and travel guides, seeing it up close felt completely different. The architecture was what stood out to us most. There were so many intricate details on the tower that are easy to overlook from a distance, and walking around the area gave us different perspectives of both Big Ben and the surrounding Houses of Parliament. We took a moment to circle the area, noticing the carvings, the gilded accents, and the way the stone caught the light. The location along the River Thames also made it one of the best spots in the city for photos, especially from Westminster Bridge where we could capture the entire tower with the water stretching out behind it. We happened to be there while the clock chimed, and it added another layer to the experience. Hearing the famous bells in person made the landmark feel much more iconic, and it was easy to understand why it has become one of London's defining symbols. The area was lively, with people walking between Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and other nearby attractions, so there was plenty to see even though we were only stopping by for a short visit. One thing to keep in mind is that this is one of the busiest tourist areas in London. It was crowded throughout the day, especially during peak travel seasons, so arriving earlier in the morning or later in the evening made it easier to enjoy the views and take photos without as many people around. The tower was beautifully illuminated after dark as well, making it worth seeing both during the day and at night if your schedule allows. Overall, Big Ben is one of those landmarks that lives up to its reputation. The history, architecture, and atmosphere make it much more than just a famous clock tower, and it is an essential stop for anyone visiting London. Standing beside the Palace of Westminster, this is one of the most recognisable landmarks in London. It is far more imposing and impressive in person than in photographs. Commonly known as "Big Ben", the name technically refers to the great bell inside the tower. The tower itself is officially called the Elizabeth Tower. The famous chimes are recognised worldwide and are closely associated with major national events and broadcasts. Some of the best views are from the South Bank. We often stay at the Park Plaza London Riverbank, which offers excellent views of the tower and surrounding area. The Uber Boat by Thames Clippers also provides a wonderful perspective from the river. Whether viewed by day or illuminated at night, it is an iconic sight and an essential part of any visit to London. read more

"Peter Drake" from Hexham Northumberland took our group here recently. The conduct of the tour guide was excellent - so professional and knowledgeable. A group from Queen Elizabeth High School (QEHS) was there too by coincidence. One or two kids from another school behaved badly and were banned. For those not au courant with British landmarks Big Ben sits above the houses of parliament. It was a great outing. read more

My tip for this sight is to get up close and check out the architecture, mill about, wait to hear the clock strike, then cross over the bridge to the other side of the river and get a picture form a decent angle without all the puffy lumo coloured jackets in the background :) read more

It is smaller than you'd expect and it's a bit unfortunate that it's next to such a busy road. It is still a must-see though and try to aim to visit when it chimes (on the hour). read more

The Big Ben is so impressively huge. Not my favorite place though, since I'm more fond of castles than clock monuments. Don't get me wrong, I like the tower, but I was told that the name of the tower is not Big Ben, and that it's the name of what's inside the tower. And it's too crowded. From then, the Tower had continued to play a significant role in England's regal history. For centuries, monarchs would begin processions at the Tower to Westminster Abbey for their coronations. However, during the Tudor period, the Tower declined in its use as a royal residence. The castle would also serve as a prison for those considered politically undesirable. Under the order of King Henry VIII, the execution of Anne Boleyn occurred at the Tower in 1536. Her daughter, Elizabeth I, was also imprisoned there before she became queen under the order of Queen Mary I. Today, the Tower of London is a popular tourist attraction in the country. Its proximity to Tower Bridge and other attractions along the Circle and District Underground lines help in bringing in many visitors. There is no need to purchase admission if one is walking beside it to view its walls. Fortunately, there are outdoor signs available to learn a little about the history of what you're looking at.

I was heavily into my King Henry VIII phase then, and I wanted to see the site where two of his queens lost their lives. Visiting as an adult was interesting. Some things I remembered and some things I didn't. There's no question that this is an incredibly historic site. The site dates back to 1066, and then William the Conqueror built his castle, the White Tower, in 1078. Then the site was expanded by the kings that followed. The purpose of the site changed over the centuries: armory, treasury, menagerie, Royal Mint, public record office, home of the Crown Jewels... For a few centuries, it was the place the next king would spend a few nights leading up to their coronation. And under the Tudors, it became what I knew it as when I was in my Tudor history phase - a prison. Guy Fawkes was tortured at the Tower in 1605. Anne Boleyn was held and executed at the Tower in 1536. Henry VIII's fifth wife was executed at the Tower in 1542. Lady Jane Grey was executed at the Tower in 1554. Queen Mary I imprisoned her sister Elizabeth, later Queen Elizabeth I, in the Tower for two months in 1554. It's a large site with several different buildings that explain and cover different eras and aspects of the Tower's history. Although I suspect the Crown Jewels are the highlight of many people's visit to the Tower, I really enjoyed and learned the most from the Medieval Palace (which has been preserved/reconstructed to demonstrate the palace where Henry III, Edward I, Eleanor of Provence, and Eleanor of Castile lived); the Chapel Royal of St Peter and Vincula (the final resting place of many prominent prisoners who were executed at the Tower); the Tower Hill Execution Memorial; the Bloody Tower (the tower tied to the imprisonment and disappearance of two young princes in 1483 and Sir Walter Raleigh); St John's Chapel inside the White Tower; and the Tower's ravens (legend says that the kingdom will fall if the resident ravens ever leave the Tower). It's a large property, and the map they provide is pretty terrible. So we just wandered and wandered. You need some time to do this, because there are towers and nooks and crannies - and every little corner of the property has something to teach visitors. I might be a little past my Tudor phase, but a visit to the Tower of London can still thrill this history nerd. A must include on an itinerary for a trip to London.

From the outside, the Palace looks institutional to me. The building was built (actually a remodeled farmhouse) in the late 1600's by King William and Queen Mary. A formal garden surrounds the west entrance. I imagine that the garden is quite spectacular in the Spring. The tour includes visits to three "Chambers" with audio tour phones that were easy to use. The audio tour is excellent with lots of interesting information. The staff is friendly and offers talks on interesting aspects of the palace. The oldest chamber visit was that of Queen Mary II (wife of King William III). The Queen's Gallery was most interesting with a fabulous harpsichord that was being played by a member of staff during our visit. The gallery overlooks the lovely gardens. The room is filled with antique pottery and portraits of the Queen. She died in her nearby bedroom chamber at the age of 32 with the King by her side. The Chamber of George II and Queen Caroline is quite opulent. We heard a short and fascinating lecture on a unique wind monitoring device that is still operational today. Family portraits and Renaissance art fill the walls. The third chamber on the tour is that of Queen Victoria where she lived as a child. Some of her childhood toys and books are displayed. Visitors are encourage to play with recreations of toys and dress up clothes. The room of her birth is the final stop of the tour. A gift shop and cafe are available. It would be fun to have tea in the cafe and imagine dining with royalty. I was hoping to run into a few royals, but I didn't. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend. There were few visitors while we were there, which was nice. Plan at least 2 hours (mostly walking) for the tour. GET the audio headsets (they are included with admission). Expect stairs. A restroom is available for visitors.

The street required entry by a guard and we have no idea how we ended up there. The palace is absolutely beautiful and still functions as housing for the royals. We were able to add a memento for Princess Di at the White Garden which still acts as a memorial to her this day.

While running along the Thames, I saw a man painting Tower Bridge and surrounding skyline. This was near London Bridge, so it's nice to look at Tower Bridge from more afar.

It's still a good viewpoint of the Thames and Tower Bridge, and it serves its function as a central bridge of London. There isn't otherwise much to visit, but that's okay. If you were looking for Tower Bridge, it's a short, pleasant walk away.

The area feels like Times Square (New York), or Yonge and Dundas (Toronto) with brightly lit screens and signs. You then realize that Piccadilly Circus established illuminated, giant advertisements since the early 20th century. What's special about Piccadilly Circus is that it's a junction where Piccadilly, Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, the Haymarket, Coventry Street, and Glasshouse Street meet. Circus in the name doesn't mean seeing clowns and acrobats. Rather, it means a circle or roundabout. It makes sense when you see the statue of Anteros, which is also known as Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain. It gives you a good look at how the streets comprise this junction. Piccadilly Circus is close to these touristy spots: - M&M's World - Chinatown - Soho - Theatre district - Oxford Street (shopping) - Hop-on, hop-off stops Gone are these places that I enjoyed visiting: - Ripley's Believe It or Not - Angus Steak House I'm an M&M's fan, so I visited this place three times. I loved it so much! Shopping was great. You can find everything from phone accessories (I still travel with a USB cable with three different charging tips that I bought in London) to weed edibles. I liked the eclectic variety that was eye-opening at the time. I remember that there was a small winter fair at a park that I had visited nearby. I don't remember the name of the park or the fair. What I do remember is enjoying banoffee fudge for the first time. So good! It was fun being in this area. I'd love to go back and see how things have changed. Right in the hub of the city where you're pretty much close to everything. There's a tub station…read morethat has a stop. Right when you walk up, it's like coming out to time square but instead you're in London. The lights and shops make the experiences more fun. You're pretty much near Chinatown, theatre district, Oxford Street, new bond street where amazing shopping is. Also the hop on hop off bus stop here. As it's one of the tourist spot, you have your usual tourist places for food and shopping. Loads of souvenirs stalls everywhere. It was nice to be here for the holidays as the places tends to be covered in holidays lights and decorations. When they say it gets busy, they were not lying. It was beautiful walking around and just taking it in. Compared to the last time I was here, the holidays just makes it more cozy but freezing for an Angeleno. Traffic is busy so be cautious when you're crossing the street. Cars were pretty much all over the place. We tended to just followed everyone whenever we crossed the road. You can't come to London and not check this place out. Even though I've been loads of times, it's still always a must stop for me.

The London Eye--no one really calls it the Coca Cola London Eye, do they?--was exactly as I remembered it, just as fun and exciting, and no worse for age. My old review pretty much stands, but I'm updating to add that it was hard to figure out the online ticketing. I booked group tickets, as we had eleven people in our party, which gave me a more favorable rate for the Eye and the river cruise. I was able to get the Eye tickets and select a time, but when I went to reserve our cruise seats, the website simply shit me out. I tried the site's chatbot and sent emails to customer service, only to be told I'd have to call the number during business hours in London, otherwise known as the middle of the night in California. I ultimately decided I'd just deal with it in person. As it turned out, we were delayed two hours on EuroStar and missed our designated time slot for the Eye. One of my brothers and his fiancée weren't able to make any other time, so I emailed customer service asking if I could rebook and also get refunded for the unused tickets. We ended up going the last full day of our trip, and the in-person customer service experience was entirely easy and pleasant. The lady at the counter said there was no issue. It was around 11:30 and the 11:45 cruise was booked, but she got us on the 12:45 cruise and suggested we line up for the Eye, as the wait was minimal (this proved to be correct). She then said I'd just have to email customer service for my refund. We rode the Eye with the kids, and everyone loved it, and even sort of posed for a few pictures. About half an hour of slow movement with unparalleled views of London, pleasant and interesting, with total containment for our children. We did the river cruise afterward and spent the afternoon walking along the South Bank, all the way to the Tate. Highly recommend this itinerary. I emailed customer service when I got home, and it took a while to sort out, but I did get my refund. The tickets were expensive, so I'm relieved this wasn't a problem. Website (and EuroStar) woes aside, I'm happy we got to ride the London Eye.

However, the time we chose to ride we lucked out and there were only a few others with our party of three. Not that it matters as there is plenty of room for everyone. The ride took about a half an hour and we saw views of Big Ben, River Thames (sits on River) and Houses of Parliament. I tried taking photos from inside the capsule and sadly they didn't turn out well. Instead, I just took the awe in and sealed it in my memory.
