I won't really miss Lifetime being that it's annoyingly loud in the club and crowded much of the time, but the new hours for Silver sneakers members is the last straw.

If your primary interest is basketball, don't bother considering Life Time Fitness as an option…read more This location, and most others, has sacrificed half of the original basketball court space for pickleball. Due to the limited space, you'll regularly end up shooting around with 3 to 5 people on a single hoop. If you do luck into a time when the court isn't overcrowded, you'll have to endure 2 incredibly annoying sounds ad nauseam: the percussive sound of a pickleball being hit every 3 seconds (cuts through noise canceling), and boomer pickleball players screaming after every volley with the intensity of having just witnessed a walk-off grand slam in a World Series game. The final straw was being told to leave the basketball court due to it being reserved as spectator space for pickleball (see photos). Life Time is no longer a viable place for basketball. Like a casino, the current focus is on extracting as much revenue as possible from a demographic that has little time left. Hopefully, the trend fades away in unison with its primary demographic.

The teachers are focused and structured and use repetition to teach the kids very valuable swimming techniques quickly. My 4 year old son just graduated to the Turtle class, meaning he can now jump in, swim forward, turn around on his back, and do chicken/airplane/soldier down the pool - all by himself! If you want your child to really learn how to swim definitely consider British Swim School.

One of the instructors took him and worked with him one-on-one until he was comfortable. There are 2 kids per instructor, so they really get a lot of one-on-one time. Another little girl was having trouble and during the "fun time" at the end, one of the instructors took her to work a little more. The instructor was really positive and wonderful with my son. By the end my son was having a blast. We had gone to another swim school the year before and my son had a death grip on me the whole time and the instructor barely talked to us. So when we tried British Swim School, I was blown away. It is in an LA Fitness, so it isn't as kid friendly as some of the other places geared just for kids. They have changing stations in by the pool and shampoo and anything you would need after swimming, so you don't have to bring all that stuff. There is plenty of seating by the pool for parents to watch.

Note: This review covers swim lessons and a birthday party rental…read more Goldfish Swim School does a wonderful job of teaching kids how to swim. That's their bread and butter. But they also do a fantastic job at hosting parties. They are a top notch facility and staff. For swim lessons, they offer 25 min classes at no more than a 4:1 student:teacher ratio. The kids progress along at their own pace, leveling-up when they're ready (could be after one week, one month, or longer). No matter what, the environment is kept fun yet challenging. And the instructors are all very welcoming, accommodating, and encouraging to the kids. For parties, they do an absolutely wonderful job. For a total of two hours (~2/3 in water, 1/3 out) they are as engaged as you want/need them to be or not. After getting all kids safely into the water they ran them through some fun games and then let them swim for a good amount of time with full-access to all toys/floats. After drying off, the kids ate (food needs to be brought in) and had cupcakes (provided). All decorations, setup/cleanup, and goodie bags were provided. It really was a delightful experience that was driven home by the fantastic staff. We couldn't be happier with the swim instruction provided and the recent party we had here at Goldfish Swim School.

Coach Weston…read moreappears to know swimming and during our five sessions she provided a lot of help for my eight year old daughter. So, why the one star? Through our five private 1:1 sessions with Priscilla she never showed up on time. Often arriving 15-20 minutes late, never with an explanation or an apology. For two sessions she didn't show up at all and for one other she double booked a group lesson over our private lesson and asked us to move ours. I would suggest anyone working with her go into this expecting lots of frustration to go along with the swim training. Based on my work with her she does not approach her relationship with her students in a mutually beneficial way. She acts like she is doing us a favor instead of realizing that an instructional relationship requires mutual respect and open communication. Overall a very disappointing experience for my 8 year old daughter and a very frustrating one for her parents. Also, there are three lessons that we asked for a refund for, two she didn't show up for and one she requested we reschedule. No refund has been given. Proceed with caution...

She claims she had worked with an "Olympic" coach ,as part time assistant coach, for few or one day(s) a week back in decade ago ! First of all , the coach she mentioned seems not coaching anymore ( according to my search, may be he passed away decade ago, please verify with their current head coach, his wife) . So..now.. who knows if her assistant coach position is even existed! Secondly, assistant coach can be a little kid helping whatever for the coach , what exact job she did for the coach, who knows!? We have done their JSCs for both of my kids this summer and have now signed up for weekly lessons. My daughter literally screamed and cried at the last place we were at and here she has had 0 tears! The water is warm so my kids are not shivering during lessons. The instructors are great and keep the kids on task and focused on the skills there are working on. I have noticed that sometimes they have a second (floater) teacher that goes to each lane and helps out as a second teacher for a few minutes and then move on to another class. At the end of each class teachers give you a little summary of how your child did. Sometimes the kids even earn ribbons for accomplishing different goals, which my kids absolutely love. I think it's a great motivator for them as well. The facility has some great added touches with amenities like an area with blow dryers, showers with soap in the pool area. It's well kept and clean. My kids are growing and becoming more confident and comfortable in the water. I could not be happier here!

After the 3rd time taking the same class, I was denied the "swimmers guaranteed". Which states that if your swimmer repeats a level 2x they will be offered assistance the 3rd time. If they have to repeat the level a 4th time, it's is supposed to be "on us". I'm being told that because two of my sons attempts at the level were "camps" ie 4x a week for 2 weeks and 4x a week for a month, that I didn't qualify for extra help in his 3rd go round because "camps don't count" and likewise the 4th "on us" session per the technicality. I have been at the school for numerous turnovers that have directly affected the quality and consistency of their programs. I have never once complained. Now, when my son is struggling, I have been shown no understanding or treatment like a valued customer of 8 years. Shame on you.
