We loved our swim coach - Delisa but are not a fan of the administration at this location. We…read morereceived mixed messages regarding when make up tokens could be used. If you miss a class you receive a make up token but you can't actually use that on the day of your enrolled class, it has to be another day. So you will basically be charged for every class at the beginning of each month, regardless of how many make up tokens you have - which doesn't really make sense to me. Instead of problem solving the person I spoke to on the phone talked over me and just unenrolled my toddler from the class. She said we will be switched to "a pay as you go" instead. A few minutes after the call I checked my account and all the make up tokens were gone because she used those as credit for the month. I didn't even get the chance to verify how many make up tokens I had left. We have a pool at home and loved these classes to teach my son the skills needed to swim. My plan was to keep my son enrolled because he just started really enjoying the lessons but we will just carry on with the lessons learn from his swim coach Delisa.

Love Life Time. It's my safe haven for an enjoyable, rewarding time with my community that I now…read morecall my friends! The staff who take care of the building are diligent and helpful. My only feedback is that they need to have better yoga and cycling teachers. This means that the teachers should be engaging and supporting; at the very least, smiling at each member and making them feel like they belong in the class. We need the instructors to improve and be more engaging. Like previous Life Time Wayne yoga teachers: Caitlin and Amy. Also, the music can be too loud in the workout floors and in the locker rooms at night. Everyone has earbuds in anyways, so why blast the music?? Looking forward to the improvements.

I have been a member of the Lifetime in Wayne, Pennsylvania for roughly a year and a half and just…read moredecided to cancel my membership. To start with, here are the good things: 1. Nice Equipment 2. Generally nice floor staff 3. Pretty clean 4. Good class selection. The not so good: 1. It is SO expensive and they keep increasing the price, even on existing members. There are also certain things that I assumed were included in the exorbitant membership only to find that they had exorbitant fees of their own. For example: I was wrong to think I could bring a guest to the pool, that would be an additional $50. Unless you use it daily and make use of the amenities (which I did for most of my time) it is very hard to justify. 2. I was initially really excited to belong to Lifetime but had some interactions with staff that left a really bad taste in my mouth. For example: I invited a friend to join me in my workout and was confronted and told training people was not allowed when I demonstrated how to do an exercise. The confrontation was hostile enough that my friend said outright that he would not consider joining the gym to work out with me. 3. It has become very overcrowded to the point that during peak hours it is hard to get floor space, which is a reality for a lot of gyms but still worth noting. For people that really want to workout, you can expect to change your workout to account for a lack of equipment availability. On occasion the only version of a machine has been out of operation for months at a time. 4. There are a lot of ways that the gym feels corporate and focused on a mission of making the most money possible at the expense of member's experience. The 30 day cancellation policy is a final example of opportunistically gouging you because they can rather than just letting you go before the next billing period. In hindsight I regret giving roughly $3800 to Globo Gym when I have had better experiences elsewhere for so much less. I really would not have bothered to write this if they would just let me go but the last ~$180 (prorated) monthly fee is worth it for them. You will meet some nice people at this gym but that is in spite of not because of LifeTime.

It's super unfortunate that the gym decided to take the easier and cheaper route during the…read morepandemic. The day after the CDC said masks aren't required they removed the requirement to wear a mask inside, and very shortly after they removed the disinfectant spray too. The gym now provides what's the equivalent of single-ply toilet paper wipes to wipe the equipment, and since the CDC said last week that people should wear masks indoors regardless, they have not followed suit. Just makes you feel uncomfortable going there. As dozens of people go in there every hour and don't clean up after themselves, nor wear masks. And honestly, the spray was nice - it's actually removing a product your customer wants. Come on now!

Tons of classes, a fantastic pool with classes and an endless pool machine, indoor track, lots of machines and some of them are new, and plenty of places to stretch out! The staff is SUPER helpful and VERY friendly. You walk in and you are greeted immediately. They have a great counter with a charging station that you can just chill at, have a cup of their free coffee or fruity waters and talk with friends! While I don't currently use any of the trainers, I am friends with many of them that follow my journey on Facebook. They answer any questions that you have and are extremely motivating. My journey started in the summer of 2014 after I found out I was a type 2 diabetic. I was severely overweight and really needed a change. In conjunction with Bounce Back Physical Therapy (on site), they recommended me to the dietitian that was available at CLM. Working with her and doing my therapy plus being at the gym 7 days a week, I am down an amazing 76 pounds and am off all of my diabetes meds. To this day I am classified as a Diet Controlled Diabetic. I couldn't have done all of this without the fantastic support of the staff at CLM, BBPT and all of my friends that I have met there. They keep you going and I don't EVER want to leave!

I started out taking Johns Tuesday and Thursday class offered at 11:30 am. After 4 weeks I felt the difference in the way my body moved, it was more flexible and there is a calmness that I now experience. Johns choice of music, his readings and yoga practices has made a tremendous positive difference in my life. Johns' yoga class is the best, I recommend this class to family and friends. The pool set-up in Bala is unique in that it is a therapy pool, it is heated to 90-92 degrees…read more Therefore, only passive types of aquatic exercise should be used. The management of Bala doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to their pools. They are doing Aqua Zumba and swimming in a hot pool, both of which are taboo for health reasons. They have a deep water pool which is also not being used for what reason? The person doing the hiring also knows nothing about aquatics, and she discriminates in hiring. Which is why their aquatics is sub-par. I have offered to teach an Ai Chi class there, which is an international beloved aqua version similar to the goals of Tai Chi. It was invented by a Japanese aquatic therapist, done to New Age music. It is perfectly suited to a warm water pool, but management refuses to even look at it, even though I volunteered to teach a sample class. This kind of ignorance leads me to believe that AFC Bala is closed minded and not considering what is best for their clientele. Members who are coming out of physical therapy would find this class absolutely perfect for their needs, but AFC really doesn't care!
