He personally comes out to receive feedback so that he can make the proper adjustments before the actual event. One of my brides wanted her jambalaya spicier and Chef made it happen without skipping a beat. The service on the day of the actual event is truly unparalleled! I've worked with many catering companies and none of them compare to the way this team works. The staff is extremely professional and checks in with me often to see how the timeline is coming along. They have no problem making adjustments when we are running behind and never make me feel stressed about it! Their service includes busing the tables and this is a task they take very seriously. My guest tables basically look like nothing was ever served!! Cleared & cleaned! Hometown Chef is quickly becoming my go to catering company for my events. Thanks so much!!!! I pulled up thinking I was just grabbing a quick bite. Nah. This turned into a full-on situation. The chicken tenders? The fries came out perfect, not that soggy mess you get at half them other places. And that boudin ball? Hit me so hard with flavor I had to sit in the truck for a second and reevaluate a few life decisions. Dips on point. Portions disrespectfully large. Prices fair. Service friendly. And the menu? You order at the counter and then they give you a number and they bring your food out to you. They have serve yourself drinks and tea and bbq etc I opted for the prime rib. I would have preferred it to be cooked a little more as a personal preference. However it did have a nice flavor and seasoning on it. The green beans are whole but they have flavor unlike some places. Jalapeno spoon bread was delicious it's like corn casserole met cornbread. Hubby got the sampler platter with smoked turkey, ribs, brisket and salmon. Fun fact they will let you sample the meats before you decide on which ones you want. The salmon was hands down the best salmon he ever had he said. It completely hit different and would definitely order again The brisket was juicy and had a great bark on it with amazing flavor and seasoning Turkey wasn't dry at all and had a great smoked flavor Ribs were fall off the bone good with yet again great seasoning Baked beans- didn't care for these at all they tasted like ketchup Mac and cheese was just basic wouldn't order again Potato salad was the best side out of the ones he got. Reservation was for 3 hours with 1 hour for set up and 30 mins for breakdown. They allow outside food as long as it's dessert. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, shoutout to Adam for coordinating with us - helped us out in so many ways, from decor setup, to playing our music, to splitting bills, to accommodating for various dietary restrictions of guests, to cutting our outside cake we brought in, to assisting with cleanup and giving our guests to-go boxes for all the leftovers. Speaking of food, guests couldn't stop raving about it. Spring rolls were packed with shrimp (they offered various sauces for those with peanut allergies), the DIY banh mi tray was a major hit, and my personal favorite was the crispy pork belly, the skin was crispy perfection.
