Since I live alone, it was important to hire a company I could truly rely on. The owner, Christie, offered to come to my home to provide an accurate quote, which I really appreciated. Their pricing was very fair. On moving day, the crew arrived right on time and had no issue making an additional stop at my storage unit. They were friendly, extremely hardworking, and incredibly fast. They also took extra care while loading and unloading, making sure my furniture and belongings were protected and handled properly. Even with a long day that included a three-hour drive to a rural location, they arrived on schedule and maintained their energy the entire time. Everything arrived intact and was unloaded exactly as requested. I was very pleased with Spartan's service and I would absolutely use them again.

Initial communication was very promising. They had a solid price (I obtained multiple quotes), could do it on the day I needed it (which was evolving because of escrow close) and stated they had their "A-Team" available for my move. We ended up booking them for a March move which involved moving a townhome plus a 3 - 4 bedroom sized storage unit (10x20 efficiently packed)! Originally they seemed to understand the requirements as they brought two trucks but one truck was a 20 footer which turned out to be a tad too small. We ended up making multiple trips in our car to offset. Team was on time and did a solid job with the first part of the move. So far so good. But, I think they realized after taking lunch they were a bit behind and so when they arrived at the house started double timing, not always efficiently. To be fair, taking apart the Murphy bed at the new house cost some time but we needed the space for one of the king beds. Boxes we told them to place in garage but we had to tell them to leave spaces to walk in between. First attempt was just placing all the boxes together like a storage unit. Upstairs, we noticed some scratches all the floor when I had mentioned all through the process starting with bidding that we had wooden floors and please have experience at keeping the floors undamaged. They put the furniture together, helped out with trash pickup and I gave each mover $80 tip. That was a solid tip for an all day, three location move. But it might have been too much. From the beginning the master king bed just felt "off". Lopsided almost. We thought it was the mattress, and that we had to rotate and move the mattress. Nope. The bed wasn't re-assembled correctly. The slats were not properly reinforced in the center and the wood bent, buckled, and finally snapped. See photos. So I waited on this review, until we opened all the boxes, and I am glad I did as our bed crashed. In the end, cannot recommend this local outfit. My national mover that brought me back to S Cal did a far more professional job, even these Murrieta movers said "Wow, those guys stacked your stuff so well in the storage unit". I wish I had used them again for this move. Not recommended.

There were a couple hiccups: There were supposed to be 3 movers but one did not show up. We were only charged for the 2 movers. Unfortunately, one piece of furniture was dropped and broken while going down the stairs. The mover was very apologetic and Karl reimbursed some of the cost.

It was disgusting. The same person dropped my large mirror on the way upstairs where it was unfixable. As the frame was damaged. And they would only cover $100.00 when the mirror was worth so much more and I sent them cheaper versions from Amazon and they would not do it. Now here is the most heartbreaking part. I am missing two gold diamond rings and 1 fake cubic zirconia solitaire ring out of my jewelry box. I know exactly where they were when I put them in the jewelry box for the move so I can unpack them from the jewelry box at the new place. I ware one of them every day but didn't want it to get damaged in all the moving. One of the rings my brother gave me before he passed away and the other was a starting over ring, I bought myself. And the zirconia was just another ring. No value. I have moved many times in my life, and I have never been stolen from and the time they took to move a one bedroom apartment that was only 20 med boxes, small couch, coffee table, tv stand, Mattress, dresser, 2 nightstands, and a chest drawers, 2 rolled up carpets and plant and a 30 minute drive took them 9 hours. The previous days I moved my entire kitchen myself and the bathroom to save money and time. I was charged $1500.00 for a one-bedroom apartment to another 1-bedroom apartment. I was only charged for 5 hours from the previous 3-bedroom house to the that apartment by another company with the same hourly rate. $730.00. I spoke with the police on this matter and am not sure about pursuing this because I will never get those rings back. That is hardest part of all this. I feel so violated. My brother is no longer with us to replace another ring. So, I would think twice about using this company. The sad part is I saw so many good reviews and that is why I called them. But maybe these two guys were new. Either way my property was stolen and can't be replaced. So, think long and hard before using them.

My husband & I moved from Lake Elsinore CA to Brea CA. We had no idea who to call to move us, but as we drove down I-15 we saw a sign with Big Boys Moving. So, my husband called. The guy on the phone was very helpful, gave us suggestions, & a ballpark cost. We set up the date for the move & felt great about it. Then, our new landlord called & wanted to change our move in date. Of course, now we're worried again! My husband again called Big Boys Moving & explained our problem & again they were understanding & said no problem. They very kindly changed the move date & all was great again. Moving day arrived...the men & truck arrived on time, told us it would take 2 hours to load us...it did. They covered & wrapped our furniture & never bumped, banged, or dented anything. Nothing was scratched or hurt at all...super careful. It took them less than 2 hours to unload the truck & they placed everything in the right room! Would I use them again? ABSOLUTELY!!! I called Big Boys Moving Co. to help move six pieces of furniture and appliances to my storage unit. I spoke with Tim and Vince by phone to set up the date and time. They were very pleasant fellows. Mike and Johnny both arrived on time on Saturday. Since I had my belongings already prepped and wrapped securely, the time to load everything onto the truck took only 45 minutes. What I mostly liked about Mike and Johnny is their friendliness and professionalism. I especially enjoyed the oldies and goodies music they played as they worked. My husband and I are seniors and we needed to move a very heavy (and I do mean heavy) entertainment center and older model television from our second story bedroom. We could not move it ourselves and needed to find someone quick. Called Big Boys Moving (first time) in Lake Elsinore and spoke to Tim. Let me start by saying I've literally moved dozens of times, using everything from whatever fit in my car, to full packing/unpacking service. And my parents owned a moving and hauling company when I was little. Mike and his team were excellent. He's upfront about pricing, honest, polite, respectful and extremely gentle with our stuff. We did our own packing. Having moved so many times, I know the level of padding/packing it takes to ensure no breakage and let me say, I didn't do that. This was a quick and unexpected move for us. I hired Big Boys Moving in Lake Elsinore. Our close of escrow kept changing but both Tim and Mike were ok with that and keep me informed of their schedule to fit me in. They did a great job ( two trucks and 4 men) it was something that needed to be done and they got it done. Way into the night and later got the balance done. Bill said we got you covered and they did not let me down. They carefully covered our furniture, curio cabinets and so many boxes into their trucks and no damage happened. Johnny, Johnny and Paul arrived on time, loaded a 220 volt lathe, drill press, 3 bedroom cabinets, one larger cabinet, one two drawer file cabinet, a large paper shredder and numerous boxes in 1.5 hours. A short drive to storage and unload in an hour or so. Very happy with service and movers and Michael's Big Boys Moving. I'm thinking when all these things are moved out of storage there has to be an easier way to move a heavy lathe and drill press without all that energy used by these 3 movers. Wow! Big Boys moving to the rescue!!!! Thank God the other movers didn't show up and friends fell through. There is absolutely no way they could have loaded our pod the way Mike and crew did. Not only did they arrive bright and early before the sun but they arrived even earlier than asked! These gentlemen were respectful and patient from the moment my mother called on a Wednesday afternoon to the time they left on a Thursday morning. Speechless. I am prior military which means I am very punctual when it comes to business. These guys exceeded my expectations in regards to professionalism, being on time and most importantly efficiency. Time to show up for the move was set at 8am and they showed up well before 7:30am so they could be ahead of the game. Oh and forgot to add...they fit me in on Labor Day when no other moving company would. These guys are top notch and I would recommend them to anyone moving. I called Big Boys and arranged 2 helpers with a 2-hour window. they arrived on time and finished the entire job in about half the time--or even a bit less. They were courteous, friendly and extremely efficient at loading the truck to make sure that as little as possible got jostled while on the road. We recently moved from a 4 bed 3 bath house to a different city. We looked for movers via Yelp…read moresince I can get multiple quotes from moving companies in one spot. That's when I came across Always Ready Movers. I was then in contact with Isaac. I appreciated that he was not pushy after I received the quote. There were some movers that would call me at least 2-3x a day and it was just a turn off. We decided to go with ARM because of their competitive price. So leading up to the big day, Isaac sent me the invoice and we had to put a deposit down to secure the move date. No problem there. I texted him to confirm the day before and he confirmed back via text the same day. The day of the move, he texted that he was 30 mins out. Isaac came at 9 am with 2 other movers and a 26 ft U-Haul. They did a quick walk to look at what needs to be moved, and then quickly set up their stuff and wrap furnitures, and did their thing. As the day progresses, our stuff seemed like not all of our stuff could be fitted into the truck. We had told them that furnitures were our priority if the truck could not fit all of the stuff. They re assured me that everything could go in there. Well, that's not really the case, there were some furnitures that needed to stay behind :/ we obiously wasn't too thrilled about it. BUT it is what it is. We didn't head out to the new location until about 3 pm. So it took 7 hours alone just to load up everything into the truck. I know that a lot of stuff were disassembled and things needed to be wrapped just to be safe, but it took way longer than what I anticipated. It took one hour to drive to the new location. Then it took more time in the new location to set up everything, unload, and just making sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the day, it took a full 12 hours for the whole move. I did appreciate Isaac and his team making sure that everything was in order and wrapped up, it sucks that we couldn't move everything, but their price is competitive. I just wished the move would have taken less time.

I don't understand why (a) there aren't more reusable moving box companies serving San Diego, and…read more(b) why more people don't use this company! We had a great experience. Preface: I hate moving using cardboard boxes. You either have to buy a bunch ($200-expensive and wasteful), steal them from work and behind grocery store dumpsters (gross, odd sizes), or try to score some free on Craigslist (unreliable, also gross). Used boxes are also unstable and you have to deal with disposing of them. Oh and cockroaches and rodents nest in them. I found EnduroBox after lots of Google searching and was happy to find that Oceanside (old house) was in their regular service area, and San Diego (new house) in their extended service area. I opted for 50 boxes (27x17x12). Boxes were delivered to the old house a week before we moved, and picked up from the new house a week after we moved. The total charge was $178, less than we would have paid for new boxes and tape. There's a minimum rental for pickup/delivery in the extended service area, but it wasn't a problem. The package we chose was well over their minimum. The boxes themselves are super easy to pack, stack and move. When packing a room we would put a box on the dolly, fill it, stack another on top, and repeat. Boxes can be stacked 4 or 5 high on the dolly and then rolled out to the garage or whatever staging area you're using. The company provides a wet erase marker to write what's in the box, what room it's going to, etc. The movers liked knowing where things were going without having to ask, and it made it easy to find stuff as we unpacked. Best of all, since our pickup was scheduled 1 week after our move-in date, we HAD to be unpacked. We just stacked up the empties in the corner as we went. Overall: cheaper, more sanitary, sturdier, and easier to pack and move around than cardboard; free pickup and delivery; and environmentally responsible. I'll use this company again, even with the minimum charge for them coming down from Temecula. I wish this was a bigger concept in San Diego.
