I'm always looking for great indie coffee spots in the GTA and the Big Cannoli Lane is a great find for me! I went in during the "lockdown" so didn't spend too much time in there, but they had a really smart rearrangement of their furniture to allow for good distance between people if a line up had been there. (I was the solo customer at the time). Got an almond macchiato and 4 cannolis (pistachio and lime) and everything was a great quality and tasted great! I would highly recommend this place for your caffeine and cannoli fix in the area. Service was really friendly and quick and I only wish I could have spent more time there, and it seems like they have a patio too once outdoor dining resumes, it would be a great spot to spend some time at!

My wife thinks Big Cannoli Lane has the best cannolis she's had in the GTA and I'm finding it hard to disagree (and that's saying something since we used to live near Little Italy). We got 4 cannolis: ricotta, lemon, vanilla and chocolate. They were all freshly filled with a dense cream that went well with the delicate fried dough shell. Strong flavours all around and there was no scrimping on the piping (the creamy filling overflowed with every bite). We also tried their nutella bombe: good donut-to-filling ratio, and the dough itself was light yet substantial. Also, 2 thumbs up for their latte: good coffee, good froth. If Big Cannoli Lane were nearer to Toronto, my tummy and I would be in big danger of overstuffing with cannoli. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

To celebrate #nationalcannoliday I HAD to stop by and grab some Cannolis! I ordered 6 small sized cannolis for $2 each. For a small size, they were the perfect sized treat and I mean I got 6 ‍ The shell was perfectly crunchy and the filling is what had me speechless. The perfect amount of sweetness and my most favourite and best part of them was they were sooooo smooth and creamy. Literally the texture of butter. Nutella and pistachio were delicious but the original ricotta filling doesn't compare to the others. I will be stopping by again @bigcannolilane .

We were in the neighborhood and stopped for a quick cuppa on a warm day and then walked around. It is a very welcoming place the people were so sweet and it was getting crowded. Good COVID measures in place and they are super quick. The coffees were great and hoping to try some of their food and gelato soon.

This was an awesome Cannoli!!! Super crisp outside. The filling was creamy and not overly sweet. The pistachio flavour could have been a tiny bit stronger. We appreciated the takeout booth that was opened for COVID. However, the staff were not wearing masks, and we would have appreciated if they were. Mask wearing would be a deal breaker for us coming back for this lovely cannoli.

Gorgeous interiors that would make most cafe and bakery in downtown Toronto jealous

Big Cannoli Lane deserves your visit... The made to order cannoli had that perfect shattering crispy crust and a wonderfully tempered sweetness and creamy centre. It was so good and the service makes this little hidden gem a deserving 5 star. This gorgeous little cafe surprises you for many reason... it's not some homey little spot. It looks like it comes from some design firm ad. Lovely white warm interiors with beautiful chandeliers, lots of natural light, gorgeous chairs, and an awesome display case with a really nice bar set up. I think this place would make most downtown spots jealous ... and I havent even spoke of the outdoor patio and vaulted ceilings that makes this place so spacious. I loved stepping into this because the first thing in addition to having my mouth drop in surprise was the super friendly hellos that came from the two behind the counter. I think they're part of the family that owns or runs this spot. There's a cute picture of a group that look similar enough to family on the counter and they were part of it. With genuine smiles and greetings, it just felt like visiting a friend. They were great in explaining the different flavours of cannoli they had and which ones they personally loved or popular. Their enthusiam was definitely infectious and made it hard to make a decision on how many to eat right there. The cannoli they sold that day came in 2 sizes... small and medium and the filling is whatever your hearts desire! They come in two types... traditional and then specialty. The day I went, traditional was ricotta, vanilla, chocolate and lemon. Their specialty ones were pistachio, chocolate chip, nutella, and oreo. There's a tiny increase in price for larger cannoli and specialty fillings but nothing to stop you from buying one... or 12. In addition to the cannoli, they had gelato (not sure if made in house), other baked Italian treats, and an espresso bar menu. I cannot stress how great it is to see them only fill the cannoli after you order it. To me, it's the mark of a great place because they put the quality and tastes of their cannoli over convenience and efficiency. Sure it's easier to batch them up in the morning but they'll be soggy and lose that beautiful crisp edge by noon. Ricotta cannoli - Filled with a rich and creamy filing, this cannoli just made me breath out in absolute joy. The shell was that perfect crisp shatter that you expect from a fresh cannoli shell. I had to be careful to eat over the plate or I'd lose some of the great crust. It had a dusting of powder sugar to give it a slight sweetness. Another thing I loved about this spot is their good hand with the sweetness. It wasn't sugary or fake but the ricotta filling was a nice tempered sweetness. Just enough to bring it all together. Some people may think this filling plain but it's the absolute traditional one that any Italian grandma would stand by. 4.5/5 Lemon cannoli - I loved this one. Similar to the ricotta one, perfect shell... crispy, crunchy, and such a joy to have it shatter as you bite into it. This filling is still light overall even though it was super creamy and silky in texture. The lemon flavour wasn't in your face but it's a nice light refreshing note in each bite. Sometimes you feel you got a bit more flavour. I also liked how this one wasn't super sweet either. A light sweetness to balance the citrus. 5/5 Pistachio cannoli - I still can't get over how good the shell is and the filling as well. This one was a bit more subtle in flavour... it had a more buttery nutty note than the ricotta and a light delicate green colour. I wouldnt say it boldly tasted of pistachio but it's enough to notice it and enjoy each bite. 4.5/5 I also have to appreciate how they filled every shell to the brim ... so it's can enjoy how good and luscious that filling in and still be amazed that you dont feel heavy or being tossed into a sugar coma after eating one. Cappuccino - I was really surprised by this cappuccino. It was quite good. Robust rich espresso flavour that wasn't bitter or acidic. A nice soft flavour that had a bit of nuttiness to it. Quite delicious and I do appreciate how they had alternative milks. I know some Italian places only do cow's milk. Not here... YAY for that! 4/5 I admit it... I actually used my fingers to kinda sneakily scoop up some of the filling dripped on the plate. It was that good. If it wasn't completely wrong, I would be licking the plate. Oh god... now I've tried this place, I think my continued search for cannolis in Toronto is going to be miserable because I found a perfect spot so early in my search! I guess I'll just need to keep coming back to set my palate and tastebuds straight.

Good coffee and cannoli but a complete rip off just go elsewhere if you want to take a stroll with your coffee at the park

The is a beautiful bright space to grab a coffee and catch up with a friend. Although the cappuccino was just average the cannoli was a winner. I got the medium Pistachio cannoli. It was filled to order so the shell stayed very crisp. The filling had great flavour and the put a ton of it in there. Will definitely be back.

Small cannoli and croissants filled with cream and Nutella. But they're basically bombes that look like croissants.

Praise the bf for showing me "old Woodbridge". Did not know Market Lane Shopping Center existed! Discovering this also led me to discover The Big Cannoli Lane! I'm hesitant to write this review as I want this place all to myself. I know when word gets out, that this place is going to be mad poppin. I was surprised when I couldn't find a Yelp page for them. Turns out they've only been open for less than 5 months! The place is so cutely decorated and makes you feel airy and fresh when you step in. You can't help but smile and admire the displays and counters. I came for the cannolis but got a bombe croissant for me and the bf. They just looked too good to pass up. Mind you, everything looked good. Anyways, I'll get straight to it. MY GOD, this is literally the best cannoli I've had THUS far! I have been on the hunt for the best cannolis and oh man. The Big Cannoli Lane is in first place. I never realized how on point a shell could be. I usually just judge the filling but god damn, this shell was everything. THE perfect crunch. The perfect flavour. I don't know how else to describe it. And that ricotta filling!? YO. Light but creamy. Cool and FRESH. No pre-filled cannolis here! I was not expecting it to be that good when I bought it. I would have taken more pictures lol. My bf even agreed that was probably the best Cannoli he has ever had. Cream filled croissant was better than Nutella. Pastry was delicious and soft. Not dry at all. I can't wait to come back!! It's so close to where we work. I see many more visits in our future!! Also there's so many cute restaurants in the area. Date night options have just expanded!

Love this place for its fresh filled cannolis! I've had horrible cannolis before and it make such a different when they're made to order. Big Cannoli Lane offers a variety of patisseries, coffee, tea, and even gelato. It's a cute spot for a girls day out or to bring your date to. I've only came here for its cannoli as that is what it is known. They have couple sizes of hard shells available - medium or small. They have four different traditional flavours and four different specialty flavours to choose from. Their most popular is the traditional ricotta and if you don't know how that taste like, I highly recommend to try it at least once whether you're a fan or not. I've also ordered a flaky type cannoli looking pastry with vanilla filling that was sitting on display along with other pastries. I am not a huge fan of this one as it didn't taste as fresh. The fresh filled cannolis are definitely the winner to me and I will come back over and over again for them. Ambience of the place is very clean and cute. You have to place your order first and then seat yourself type of cafe. Quiet atmosphere which I like so you can enjoy your cannolis over great conversations. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable.

In a quiet corner of Woodbridge, La Strada Bakery defies easy categorization -- and therein lies…read moreits singular charm. What presents itself modestly as a neighbourhood Italian bakery reveals, upon closer acquaintance, something altogether more intriguing: a transatlantic pastry dialogue between the Old World and South America, shaped by the hands of a Uruguayan chef who brings both traditions to bear with quiet confidence. The cannoli are, without equivocation, the crown jewel of this establishment. Piped to order, the filling achieves a textural ideal -- sweetly yielding, impeccably creamy, and notably free of the aggressive lemon notes that so often overwhelm lesser versions. The shell delivers a satisfying, delicate crunch, its restraint allowing the ricotta cream to assert itself as the undisputed protagonist. These are cannoli that would draw admiration well beyond the borders of Woodbridge. One ought not to overlook the sfogliatelle, rendered here in golden, shattering layers, nor the cherry-filled donuts -- generously proportioned, freshly made, and possessed of a quality that lingers in memory long after the visit. The facturas, custard-filled and dusted with care, speak fluently to the South American soul of the kitchen, while the empanadas offer a savoury counterpoint of notable finesse. The space itself is intimate to the point of cosiness -- a handful of seats, a tall central table, and a glass case brimming with the day's offerings. The pace is unhurried, the atmosphere warmly domestic. Tony, the proprietor, greets each guest with a hospitality that feels entirely genuine -- the kind of welcome that transforms a transaction into something closer to a visit with an old friend. If one were to offer a gentle note, it might be that the sheer breadth of the offering -- Italian classics alongside Uruguayan specialties and homemade ravioli -- occasionally tests the boundaries of the compact space. Yet this abundance, curated with evident passion, is ultimately more virtue than flaw. La Strada is a bakery for those who understand that the finest pleasures are often found where one least expects them.

Good. Lord. I love…read morered velvet cake. I try to avoid hyperbole when possible but freakin' mother of all that is holy, that was the best red velvet cake I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will forever be ruined on all red velvet cakes thanks to Zehra. No joke. Greatest. Red Velvet. EVAR. I thought wedding cakes were supposed to be dry, and brick-like, and horrible in every way, but apparently they can look AND taste amazing. It's not a bakery where you can just go in and order things off a menu. Obviously, because Fine Cakes by Zehra is only available for bespoke cakes, and desserts designed specifically for weddings and wedding-related festivities. Really, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind about quality (see drooling crazy person rave above) and craftsmanship (see her website). But she knows that. She knows she's good, and you can tell as much when you meet her. She conveys confidence in her creative craft (alliteration for the win) and her interactions were (almost) intimidating for someone like me, who up until two months ago thought that all cakes were made by a lady named Betty Crocker. The consultation (appointment required, you can't just walk in to her studio) involved me, my fiancée, her sister, and my friend (who happened to be with us at the time) meeting with Zehra to discuss what we were wanting. And she managed to make me feel like a scared child while she threw out questions like a drill sergeant. Then it basically followed with what she envisioned for the cake to match our theme, and she was designing on the fly even as we were answering her questions (who am I kidding, I answered no questions). The samples she provided were amazing. I would have been happy continuing to think that wedding cakes are generally terrible tasting, but she's taken that away from me, forever. Then she gave us the price, and my heart skipped a beat. But like I said earlier, she knows she's good. And really, that's my only gripe (which is not really a gripe). She kind of gave off a vibe that said "This is how it is, and you can take it or leave it." And justifiably so because from what I can tell, she's sought after by a lot of people, and she's not really hurting for our business. We still haven't decided if we're going with her yet, because even after cutting our servings down severely, we were still left with a price that was higher than we had budgeted. And by the time we decide, she may very well be booked by someone else. For people who aren't limited by silly things like wedding cake budgets, knock yourselves out. She will give you crack cocaine in fancy cake form, and you will thank her for it.

Obsessed with our wedding cake! We had full trust in her to create the perfect cake for our special day, and she did such an incredible job. We are beyond happy with the result and it tasted as good as it looked! Thank you, Zehra. You are truly very talented... and we look forward to working with you again in the future.
