They always cut my hair too short, I asked for a taper and layers and we agreed one inch off the top. One inch turned into three without telling me and now I spent over $50 just to have to regrow my hair. It might be laziness or a lack of skill but I won't be back ever. read more

I was greeted and seated right away as a walk-in. The rest of the experience was awful and sad. They don't accept a card so I had to walk next door to the bank's ATM To get cash. On top of that, the haircut is below average. The barber agreed to clean up the unevenness but I still don't feel like I got a quality cut. Wish I had gone somewhere else read more

Great place. I didn't have to wait long to have my haircut started. Mr. D cut my hair and did a fantastic job of it. Only reason I gave it a 4/5 was because I was expecting a one $ sign to have prices in the range of $10-15. I paid over $25 for my haircut. I'm not saying it wasn't worth it, but the dollar sign label for this place on Yelp needs to be fixed. Other than that small complaint, this barbershop is top notch. In town visiting and needed a cut and shave. I walked in and got Derrick. He did a great job on my bald fade. Only complaint is the lather machine was down so no hot lather for my face, and his razor was starting to dull during my shave and he noticed it and even asked if it was pulling, instead of swapping it out he just kept going which started to pull my hair and was painful. The owner disrespected my barber in front of me when i was in the chair and while there were other customers there, well 1 other customer because he doesn't even have his chairs filled. Empty chairs speaks volumes of the way the business is run. I'm loyal to my barber not the shop and will follow her where she goes. I was recently in the Jacksonville area visiting family for a few weeks. My nephew needed a hair cut really bad and Big City Barbers was recommended by a family friend. This barber shop is located in a strip mall next to the Vystar Bank. Since it was a weekend, it was pretty busy but upon entering we were instantly greeted & welcomed by various employees. Chris was our barber and he really knows his stuff. He not only made my nephew feel comfortable but he gave him a great cut! This will definitely be our go to shop when in Jacksonville. read more

Most people not only use the same barber shop but the same barber as well. When my barber Mike moved to this place I followed right along and I can say i couldn't be more pleased. This place is clean and the environment is perfect really gives you that Barber Shop feel everyone is friendly and the location is perfect. I saw the great reviews and thought I would try it out. I went in with no appointment. There were seven barbers cutting hair and one guy waiting. I went in and sat down to wait on the next available barber. I thought it would be a short wait. After 15 mins one of the barbers asked if I was waiting on someone or just first available. I said first available, he said he had an appointment on the way and someone would take care of me soon. I waited 20 mins more and left. I guess I don't know how their business works. Or, maybe it is only by appointment. 3 guys came in after me and it looked like they had appointments. There is no receptionist or anyone taking names. Be nice if there was a sign or someone to give a little direction on what to do to get someone to cut your hair. It looked like they had some good barbers. Most of the guys were cutting someone's hair when I showed up and still cutting the same guys hair when I left. Not sure what to make of that. I do know that I still need a haircut. read more

Awesome place, chill atmosphere, really clean, super friendly vibes. My boyfriend and I are from out and town and visiting and he needed a place to get a fade. We ended up going somewhere closer to where we were staying and the lady messed his hair up so bad and he was so upset. So we yelped a place, read the reviews and decided to check it out. Good thing we did!! We walked in and were immediately greeted and asked how we could be helped. My boyfriend explained his situation and the barber was awesome and offered to help ASAP. Not only did he do an amazing fix on my boyfriends messed up cut, but he made us feel welcome and cracked jokes and made conversation the whole time.
