I called Monday afternoon and they offered me an appointment for first thing Tuesday morning 8 AM for an oil change and VA safety inspection. Two out of the three auto technicians I encountered greeted me with a pleasant "Good morning!". My vehicle was pulled into the bay, the work was completed and I was out the door 45 minutes later. Came here for an inspection and waited over an hour . I thought technical issues but found out the guy decided to have a social hour with a customer. Many people in line just left in disgust. Not what I would call good customer service. When asking what's the hold up I was told "I'll get to it". Use to be better but gone downhill. I recently had to go to Big Daddy four tires. I was visiting my father and didn't know of anybody to go to and I tried to call them. They were very kind the prices were reasonable and they got me in the following day. It was very important to me because my father was ill and I couldn't wait around. I was back within the hour with the new tires and great service. I cannot say enough about Stacy in the office. I called her about coming in for an inspection, after being turned away from Boyce Automotive saying they were too busy. I explained I had been working 12 hour days and it was very hard for me to get in. She was sympathetic and said please come in now. I will make it happen for you. Bill then agreed to do my inspection even though he was done for the day and had not had lunch! I feel so thankful and grateful. I want to buy them lunch for their trouble. While driving home from TN to Philly, I got a screw stuck in my tire. I pulled into Big Daddy's and they immediately dropped what they were doing and helped me out. They were able to patch the tire and I was back on the road in no time. These guys are great! Thanks Big Daddy's! read more

Exceptional service. Took my daughter's car down for possible wheel bearing going bad. On this particular car, it wasn't a "unbolt and swap out" operation. The bearings had to be pressed in. Big Daddy didn't perform this particular repair so they sent it to another shop. They got the parts back, installed them and called me to pick up the car. When I got there, the mechanic (owner?) advised me that he had taken it for a test drive and wasn't happy with the job the other shop had done. Something didn't feel right. Asked to keep the car and check it again. Turned out the other shop had messed up pressing the bearings. They got it fixed right and no extra charge to me. Price was already very reasonable.... That's good service and taking pride in your work. read more

Came in to do inspection and told them I expected to have to get work done on vehicle since I haven't been in for a while. Inspector said I have good new and bad news ... we all know how this goes but he said good news is everything is fine and brakes are good (what I thought needed to be changed and tires) bad news is I owe them 20 bucks. From a GIRL that always gets a bill for 2,000 from just having to pass inspections or just any visit to a mechanic shop ( don't worry I buy my own parts and do the work if NEEDED) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This shop. So HONEST. NO SCAMMERS. I will keep coming back to this shop. Everyone is nice in the shop. read more

Was denied va inspection on my 1990 Jeep Comanche because my windshield wipers only have 2 speeds when according to big daddy's you need 3 to pass inspection. Looked up the law on va.gov website and it says nothing about speeds. Went back and asked for their va inspection manual and he didn't have it, and changed his story to my wipers stopping in the middle of the windshield which is false. Not recommended place to go if you have older vehicles. Only plus to the situation was he didn't charge me for inspection because he had only looked at the truck for 2 minutes.
