You can buy the same from IKEA for $3.99

***Pricing SCAM**** Went in there yesterday originally looking for a big Sand Crab Catcher scooper but instead was told that they no longer sell those and recommended this metal scooper for $21.99 which I should have done my research but needed one. The person that helped me out pointed this one out to me and I fell for his sales pitch. "This one is smaller and more convenient and I only have 2 left people buying them all the time." So I agreed and bought it again not doing my research. Got home which I don't live in that area and took the stickers off and found out this is a cup sold from IKEA for only $3.99!!!! It's listed on IKEA as a Utensil holder!!!! They placed their pricing sticker over the IKEA. ***Recommend doing research before buying from them!!!!*** . Used to go this place a lot as younger adult but after this not anymore. I will be in soon with the receipt.

I have absolutely no idea how after all these years I have never reviewed this place. I have come here almost forever I'm taking childhood . They have all things fishing. Lures, jigs, live bait, frozen bait all the hooks and sinkers. Rods reels outfits waders hats glasses I mean everything. A awesome staff and ridiculous hours of operation to accommodate any fishermen. The only down side which I hate to have to point out is even with all that they don't actually sell fishing licenses?? Other then that if you're looking to fish Long Beach, Seal Beach or anywhere in a proximity you need to bookmark this place.

Started at this shop looking for off shore tackle. They did not oversell me no matter how hard I tried to over buy. An Ron and a younger man were so detailed and helpful in the morning. Went back midday after my first time Fishing. To take a look at reels others had told me about. A long haired young man, spent at least an hour, describing the difference between conventional and spinning rods and helping me understand the basics of how to utilize them. I now have some fantastic equipment and can't wait to catch a big one. I've gone to multiple corporate owned stores and online shops looking at bait, tackle, and equipment sales. However, this BIG Fish bait shop, has everything I want, and the expertise of where and how to use it.

While he was deciding and waiting for his turn, the clerks behind the firearm counter were speaking very loudly about "day drinking" and hoping to clock out in time for happy hour later that evening. One individual in particular (bald/sparse hair with glasses, someone I had not seen there before) seemed especially vocal about it. Hearing employees openly joke and talk about being intoxicated while working behind a firearm counter immediately raised serious concerns for me. Firearms require a high level of responsibility, awareness, and professionalism, and hearing staff casually discuss drinking while actively assisting customers was alarming. What made it worse was how loud and proud the conversation was. They were laughing and hyping each other up about drinking while customers were standing right in front of them. Whether they were joking or not, it reflects extremely poor judgment and creates a very bad look for a business that sells and handles firearms. It gives the impression that safety and professionalism are not being taken seriously. In an environment where safety should be the absolute priority, hearing employees casually talk and laugh about drinking while surrounded by firearms is incredibly concerning and completely unprofessional.

I get waiting in a queue is designed to establish a first come first served rule. However, when everyone in front of me was picking up, purchasing or looking at various guns taking 15 minutes on average at what point, out of customer service does the manager (who at this point knows what I'm there for) say "hey, let me take care of you real quick". This place is as corporate as corporate can be, but thats ok as long as the customer service and human connection is there. Im sure ammo bros or even big 5 would take a more rational approach. At least have a person dedicated to ammunition purchases! My mistake, i will never go to turners when I just want to make an ammunition purchase. Guns and accessories yes, ammunition alone, never again.

Whoever was working the guns with the dark hair and the trimmed dark beard working mainly the left side was a jerk. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there nor cared about anything. I then was trying to inquire about a Ruger mark 4 and he was rude about how they have them but won't sell them but can order them. I still don't understand what he meant other than out of stock maybe? Anyway. Another customer came up behind me and asked this man a question and he scolded the customer and said he was with me, he was not and dragged me into it for some reason. He eventually got rid of the prospect and I proceeded to tell him I didn't want or need his help and to help the man he ignored. Instead he called up the next person in queue. Ironically enough, an employee was going off on a phone or radio about giving the best customer satisfaction possible lol. I almost said something to him but he was so hyped and happy, unlike mr grumps at the gun counter. Aside from that and what drove me away from purchasing a new firearm that day, the guys working Ammo and the fishing department were amazing. They really showed their knowledge and were a pleasure to work with. I will be back because of them, but maybe sticking to rifle supply for gun purchases.

I have been in business for many years and have met thousands of people throughout my life, but every once in a while, you come across someone who leaves a lasting impression on your heart. Damien was one of those people. From the moment he greeted me, he treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine professionalism. Every word was spoken with courtesy: "Yes, sir," "Thank you, sir," and "It's a pleasure to help you, sir." His manners, patience, and willingness to assist were truly remarkable. As I spoke with him, I couldn't help but think back to my own teenage years. Damien reminded me of a time when respect, humility, and strong values were the foundation of a young person's character. Seeing such a respectful and hardworking young man today touched me deeply. In fact, I had tears in my eyes because it gave me hope and reassurance that there are still wonderful young people in this world. His parents deserve tremendous credit for raising such an outstanding young man, and Dick's Sporting Goods should be extremely proud to have Damien representing their company. He is a shining example of what customer service should be and what good character looks like. Damien, thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and your respect. You made my shopping experience unforgettable. Young men like you are rare, and I hope your managers recognize what a valuable asset you are to their team. May God bless you and your future.
