While he was deciding and waiting for his turn, the clerks behind the firearm counter were speaking very loudly about "day drinking" and hoping to clock out in time for happy hour later that evening. One individual in particular (bald/sparse hair with glasses, someone I had not seen there before) seemed especially vocal about it. Hearing employees openly joke and talk about being intoxicated while working behind a firearm counter immediately raised serious concerns for me. Firearms require a high level of responsibility, awareness, and professionalism, and hearing staff casually discuss drinking while actively assisting customers was alarming. What made it worse was how loud and proud the conversation was. They were laughing and hyping each other up about drinking while customers were standing right in front of them. Whether they were joking or not, it reflects extremely poor judgment and creates a very bad look for a business that sells and handles firearms. It gives the impression that safety and professionalism are not being taken seriously. In an environment where safety should be the absolute priority, hearing employees casually talk and laugh about drinking while surrounded by firearms is incredibly concerning and completely unprofessional.

Whoever was working the guns with the dark hair and the trimmed dark beard working mainly the left side was a jerk. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there nor cared about anything. I asked him about the gen 5 glocks and he cut me off to say all glocks are illegal to sell in CA. Not what I was asking about and also false. I then was trying to inquire about a Ruger mark 4 and he was rude about how they have them but won't sell them but can order them. I still don't understand what he meant other than out of stock maybe? Anyway. Another customer came up behind me and asked this man a question and he scolded the customer and said he was with me, he was not and dragged me into it for some reason. He eventually got rid of the prospect and I proceeded to tell him I didn't want or need his help and to help the man he ignored. Instead he called up the next person in queue. Ironically enough, an employee was going off on a phone or radio about giving the best customer satisfaction possible lol. I almost said something to him but he was so hyped and happy, unlike mr grumps at the gun counter. Aside from that and what drove me away from purchasing a new firearm that day, the guys working Ammo and the fishing department were amazing. They really showed their knowledge and were a pleasure to work with. I will be back because of them, but maybe sticking to rifle supply for gun purchases.

I have been in business for many years and have met thousands of people throughout my life, but every once in a while, you come across someone who leaves a lasting impression on your heart. Damien was one of those people. From the moment he greeted me, he treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine professionalism. Every word was spoken with courtesy: "Yes, sir," "Thank you, sir," and "It's a pleasure to help you, sir." His manners, patience, and willingness to assist were truly remarkable. As I spoke with him, I couldn't help but think back to my own teenage years. Damien reminded me of a time when respect, humility, and strong values were the foundation of a young person's character. Seeing such a respectful and hardworking young man today touched me deeply. In fact, I had tears in my eyes because it gave me hope and reassurance that there are still wonderful young people in this world. His parents deserve tremendous credit for raising such an outstanding young man, and Dick's Sporting Goods should be extremely proud to have Damien representing their company. He is a shining example of what customer service should be and what good character looks like. Damien, thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and your respect. You made my shopping experience unforgettable. Young men like you are rare, and I hope your managers recognize what a valuable asset you are to their team. May God bless you and your future. Keep working hard, stay humble, and never change. The world needs more young people like you.

BASS PRO SHOPS HAS MY WHOLE HEART!!!…read more WOW. Just wow. Coming here has been a dream of mine, and it somehow exceeded all my expectations. I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. If you love the outdoors, or even just want to browse one of the coolest stores ever!!! You have to visit Bass Pro Shops!

The fish and chips were great, the fries were hard as a rock, the gator bites with the dip was delicious and the spinach dip was just ok. Cold, refreshing beer and the service was great. It is on the expensive side when it comes to all the pricing but the quality is definitely all there and for the most part worth it. It's worth stopping by if ever in the area.
