I've been out of college for twenty years, and probably moved 10 times. I never before remembered a mover's name or the experience (unless it was bad,which it was frequently). Mike (the owner) is the first person in my life to giving moving a "Brand Name." I want to say that within six months, I had to arrange two moves; one for my office (from Brighton to Watertown) and one for my home (from Newton to Needham). I used Mike Bavuso and his team for both, and I COULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN WISER. He is organized, friendly and efficient. He came in on time and under budget in both cases. I could go on about how previous movers have left me in the lurch; taken long, unexplained breaks; given me estimates that don't reflect the real staff and move-time expectations; had bad attitudes; broken things or otherwise acted with neglect; but why should I? I will only have one mover from now on---Big Foot Moving & Storage. I will recommend Big Foot to anyone who asks and even those who don't ask. I have already recommended him to two of my office mates (one was my boss) and they were full of the same respect and admiration I had. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Jim came to my home and did a complete inventory of what needed to be moved and provided a detailed estimate. I had 7 rooms 2 baths plus a garage, workshop, patio furniture and so on. He explained all the options and outlined exactly what would happen the day of the move. On moving day, they showed up exactly when they said they would. Ed, Scott and Jerome were my crew. I showed them around the house and then the fun began. Everything was disassembled, wrapped, taped and loaded on to 2 - 26' trucks. (It's amazing what you accumulate in 22 years) These guys are fast. I got tired just watching them. They were all very polite and respectful. On delivery day, they showed up exactly on time. The 2 trucks were unloaded faster than they were loaded. Everything was unwrapped, reassembled and put in it's place. Nothing was damaged and everything arrived intact. Once again,I will say that my crew was great. I would highly recommend them. Big Foot Moving and Storage did a great job. I was very impressed with all aspects of the process. From the initial quote I received from Rich, to the actual move, everything was top notch. I'm a technical person and I was really impressed when Rich came by to give us a quote and he used an iPad. Also, when paying, they used an iPhone to process the payment and I receive a receipt via email. Very cool! On moving day, the movers were great. Courteous, efficient honest and hard working. Very professional. They showed up on time and moved at a constant, steady pace. They took good care of all our items and made sure not to damage anything. They took the time to help us re-arrange furniture if needed. I've moved a few times so far and had some horror stories with movers where the actual priced ended up being way over what they quoted and the movers getting really nasty with me when I questioned it on moving day. Our experience with Bigfoot was beyond our expectations. They were extremely careful with everything, engaged in the move, friendly, willing to help with extra last minute tasks, on time, efficient and just terrific. I created a Yelp account today exclusively to review Big Foot Moving & Storage. My wife and I just moved to Boston two months ago and struggled to find a place to settle into. We had moved many of our belongings from Virginia via Penske truck, but had to find a place to store them while we kept searching for a place throughout the city. The business is family owned, and has been that way for a long time. We were very warmly welcomed by Rich, who personally helped us move our belongings from the truck into the storage unit. We never imagined to be helped and attended in such a personal manner, but we were even more surprised by the genuine kindness and thoughtful spirit of the people who attended us. Moving is stressful and not fun! Especially an out-of-state move. I have moved multiple times over the last 15 years - from Massachusetts to New York City, New Mexico and back to the Bay State. Also did a number of local moves within the Boston area. I used Big Foot for a move from Arlington, MA to Maryland this week. What a feast! The office staff was professional and informative of what the move will entail - costs, packing materials etc. Best of all was the three movers that arrived at my doorstep on Monday morning - on time. They were fun to work with, efficient and professional. I moved possessions from a condo in Arlington as well as a storage facility in Medford. Two of the movers drove down to Maryland. Big Foot was excellent! We just moved from an apartment into a house and I am so glad we used them. My husband and I hadn't had a chance to pack as much as we would have liked, but they moved a bunch of the unpacked items anyway which was very helpful. They were quick with the move, but very friendly and courteous and low-key so it was a very stress-free day for me. The move ended up taking a little longer than planned due to the fact that we hadn't been able to prepare for the move as much as we would have liked, but the money spent was very worth it. They also used our packing materials first so we weren't charged much for using theirs. They were also very up front regarding moving costs, so I knew what I was getting in advance. Hopefully we won't be moving again for a long time, but we will definitely use Big Foot again if we do! read more

We used Big Foot moving to move my daughter from her Boston apartment, temporarily to storage in our suburban garage, then to her new apartment in Watertown. About four years ago, we used Gentle Giant and I thought they were OK (and kind of expensive). Their crew was OK. Said all the right things, but didn't seem to mean them. So, this time, I took a chance on Big Foot, and they were GREAT! Got Mike A. and Tyler P. who were enthusiastic, cheerful and sincerely helpful. They did a better job than Gentle Giant getiing a big sleeper sofa out of a tight door and Tyler moved this huge, heavy cherry entertainment center by himself - twice! They really hustled and made excellent time while being extremely careful with the furniture/contents. Would definitely use Big Foot again and would recommend Mike and Tyler to anyone! read more

We were extremely impressed by how professional, accommodating, and proficient the Big Foot team was. Jim gave us our estimate and continued to be available as I discovered there was so much more to do than first anticipated. We ended up needing packers the day before the move as well as the day of and there they were! The moving team was incredibly flexible and patient as I was trying to figure out the placement of large heavy items. They assembled and disassembled rooms several times at my request without hesitation or complaint. This was a big job and Big Foot was up to the task! Rich McKee was very informative and insightful with my initial call to discuss moving my mother in law from a house to an apartment. We used Bigfoot to move to our house from an apartment and we can't say enough good things about them. The movers showed up 30 minutes early than the scheduled time. They worked efficentley (2 movers) and completed everything in 5 hours, including the 30 minute drive between stops. We painted the entire house prior to moving in and thought we would have some dings or dents from the movers and when they were finished, there was not 1 scratch, scrape, or dent anywhere.
