The movers made contact when they were en route to my location, and showed up on time. All three of the movers introduced themselves, and post my tour of what they needed to move, they went to work. Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. Nothing broken and they were a super effective team. (hopefully no time soon...the process of moving bites) If I ever need movers again Mozart Movers are going to be my choice. All our items were moved undamaged and put exactly where we asked them to be. The personal service was impeccable as the owner, Alex, was very communicative each step of the way, even at "off-hours" and was personally on-site whenever there was activity. I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. Sam and 2 other guys moved our 3 bedroom house locally in 5.5 hours, and this included finishing up a lot of extra packing that we didn't finish before they arrived on moving day. They also brought a second truck to carry all of our garage/outdoor belongings, which was nice to know that those things weren't co-mingling with our indoor belongings. We were not initially quoted for a 2nd truck but we were also not charged extra for it based on our agreed-upon hourly rate, so it was much appreciated! They assembled and placed my furniture exactly where I wanted, and nothing was damaged in the move. I got many quotes for movers and Brave Movers had great pricing - awesome value for the great work you get. Good communication, but a rough experience overall…read more We recently used Move and Care for a cross-country move from California to Chicago. While our representative was responsive and ultimately apologetic about the issues we experienced, the move itself had enough problems that we feel other customers should know what they might be signing up for. Our delivery window changed multiple times without much notice, requiring our belongings to be transferred to a holding truck -- an extra handling step that increases the risk of damage and that we hadn't anticipated. When unloading day finally came, at least two of the three crew members were openly rude and complained throughout the job. My wife was directing placement of boxes and was treated with visible impatience and disrespect -- not something we expected from a professional moving crew. Most of our belongings were not placed where she asked, leaving us to reorganize on our own. We also had damaged property that was not addressed to our satisfaction. To their credit: Our representative did apologize for the experience, and the company acknowledged that improvements need to be made. Whether those changes happen is something future customers will have to judge for themselves. We appreciated that the communication was generally prompt. But communication alone doesn't make up for a move that fell short at nearly every step. We'd encourage anyone considering Move and Care to go in with eyes open.
