    Brisket sandwich with clam chowder

This mom and pop diner/bar hands down has my favourite brisket sandwich. Every couple of years I make a drive from SF to Bend, Oregon and stopping at Bigfoot Tavern on the way is the one spot that I plan my drive around. I'm no expert on barbecue, but i think it's fair to say that this was some of the best smoked brisket I've ever had. Not only was it extremely tender, it was more than just good tasting meat, you could definitely taste the smokiness. I also highly recommend getting the clam chowder on the side; again, probably some of the best I've had, and loaded with clam meat. This is the purest definition of a hole in the wall you can find nowadays: it's off the beaten path, the owner's are friendly and filled with hospitality when serving you - and the food is absolutely delicious for a reasonable price. If you are driving through Crescent, stopping here is a must and you will not be disappointed.

This is a good ole Local Bar! Nice people, food looks pretty darn good... but it was ALL about a beer and Monday night football for me at the time for me... NOT food!

    Best bartender cook!

Best bar in Crescent. Hands down. Tons of goodies in the claw game. Great food and service. The remodel looks great.

We found this place by seeing a previous review here on Yelp. It sounded intriguing, so we HAD to…read morecheck it out. This is definitely local-funk. It's back off the main drag so it's not someplace you see as you pass through La Pine and say "Whoa! Turn around. We gotta check this place out!" We checked into our hotel and headed over to Vic's. There was a motorcycle out front and a couple more cars. Looked like we'd fit right in... There was a group of what looked like out-of-town golfers at a large table in the center of the room. They were whooping it up and having a good time. This is not a place where you worry about talking too loudly. You have to talk loud or else your companion won't hear YOU. Yup, this is our kind of place. Lots of different brands and kinds of beer, both bottles and draft. We opted to eat at the bar. The menu is full featured - with all the deep fried goodies you can handle. I wouldn't want to eat here every day, but ya know, once in a while a good old fashioned grease-fest tastes damned good. Once in a while won't kill you. It tastes SO good going down, especially if you wash down each bite with some ice cold beer. We were especially impressed with the condiments being brought to us in an empty Bud Lite six-pack holder. A nice touch. Since we only come through here once a year, we'll be back next year for sure. And if you like a dose of grease once in a while, don't miss an opportunity to stop in here.

What a great local bar. Everyone was super friendly and relaxed but working hard to make customers…read morefeel at home. The burger was great and the others in the group liked their food too. If i lived in La Pine i'd probably be a regular.
