This is our second time here for breakfast and they honestly blow it out of the water with their food! It's a must for breakfast! Service is always friendly and fast. A Culinary Roller Coaster: Why I'm Now Sleeping with a Jar of Au Jus I walked into this establishment expecting a nice meal. I walked out a fundamentally changed person, possibly smelling faintly of soy sauce and beef stock. My life is now measured in two distinct eras: Before the Asian Wings, and After the Asian Wings. Let's start with the Asian Wings. These aren't just chicken wings; these are tiny, sticky, flavor-bombs of euphoria dressed in a sauce that I am 90% certain is medically addictive. They arrive looking deceptively innocent, but after your first bite, you will experience the full five stages of grief when you realize there are only six (or eight, or ten) on the plate. They are crispy enough to warrant a moment of silence and saucy enough to require a wet wipe transfusion afterward. Be warned: do not bring anyone you love, as you will fight them for the last one. Next up, the mythical beast known as the Prime Rib French Dip. This sandwich is what you eat when you need a hug in carbohydrate form. The prime rib was so tender, I think it apologized to my teeth for being too easy to chew. And the au jus? Oh, the au jus. This isn't just a dipping liquid; it's a savory bath of pure, concentrated happiness. It's the liquid form of a bear hug from a very wealthy cow. I dipped that sandwich until the bread was structurally questionable. Final Verdict: Go here. Bring an appetite, a bib, and a therapist, because you will leave with emotional scars from the battle over the last wing and a strong desire to wear the French Dip as a cologne. Five out of five stars would risk a lifetime of high cholesterol again. read more

The wings were pretty dry (seemed overcooked) and the fish unevenly fried. Cole slaw was OK. Fries were the best part. We are staying in Sunriver and looking for a takeout dinner on the later side of the dining timeframe. We found Wallow and after checking out the menu decided we'd give it a try. Out of the three entrees we ordered all were enjoyed. The salmon pasta dish was good and the steak was also a great tasting meal with a large side of delicious mashed potatoes. Solid bar and restaurant with table service, good food (including a prime rib special the night we were in), and a nice bar setup for either eating or drinking. Maybe 20 tables in the main room (not sure if there is a back one). From the looks of strip mall it's in, it looks a bit like rough apres ski bar on the outside, but it's nicer inside than I expected, family friendly, more bar/jrestaurant than bar, so overall, I think it's quite nice and has good food. We just recently relocated and have been to The Wallow 3 times so far and each time it was delicious! We have only gotten takeout but we did sit and have a drink while waiting for our food! Came here based on reviews. We wanted to get lunch, but they were only serving Sunday brunch. The waitress didn't get our order right, which happens NBD. But let's get right down to it. The food was terrible. If I can stop even one person from ordering anything containing the sausage this review will have been worth my time. To say the sausage is nasty is an egregious understatement. Those who had it as part of their dish had to go home and eat something else, not just because the meal was inedible, but to get that awful taste out of our mouths. There is no exaggeration here. Truly awful. The people who ordered French toast or anything non-savory were thankful they did. I cannot speak to the lunch, but definitely do not recommend for breakfast. I couldn't help but feel like the sausage is someone's uncle's "special recipe" and no one will tell the cook just how awful it is. (Forgot to get a pic of the biscuits and gravy) One person in our group got the chicken and waffles. This appeared to be a fried chicken breast fried cut up and refried to a pulp. Overall a decent place to stop. Atmosphere is nice and food is fair. I had a French dip which was tough and skimpy on the fries. My wife had a $20 teriyaki bowl, which was 80% rice but she said it was a C+. I will go back and try something different in hopes we chose poorly. read more

Very appealing, casual restaurant. Nice outdoor seating. The Asian salad was not great. My grand daughter ordered bbq wings and they were very spicy. She ordered 15 with a choice of 5/10/15. It came with one little cup of ranch dressing. I was shocked to see on the bill that they charge .50 for the additional cup of ranch. I found that petty! Have visited on multiple occasions over the course of several years. The service is always quite pleasant and efficient. The cocktails are nicely made. The fall down is in the cleanliness, sanitation, ambiance and food. Tables are consistently in need of a wipe down and it's apparent a deep clean has not taken place in far too long. The atmosphere is lacking in comfort and has become more and more drab with the lack of upkeep over time. The breakfast food is bland. Our one meal that came with a side of potatoes had 10 pieces in the order, yep, we counted. Our server was Tara and she did a great job even though some of our party was a bit difficult. She checked in on us often. We had the Thursday Special ribs, beans, and coleslaw. The ribs were delicious with their own barbeque sauce. The cowboy beans had a great flavor that resulted from several seasonings and a variety of beans. The coleslaw was good but could use additional flavor through additional seasoning and mayonnaise. However, I would highly recommend the rib night on Thursday if you're hungry and want a great meal. read more

my family and I came in for breakfast And I ordered the prime rib scramble. When it arrived, it looked like it was on top of gravy. I mentioned some thing to the server as I am celiac, and she insisted that it was just the aïoli that it was on top of and that it was gluten-free. Needless to say, I was extremely sick from the flour that was in the sauce. I understand making a mistake and I offered the server a chance to remake it or offer me something else or a simply would've just not eaten it at all. Been going here for around a decade. I've seen staff come and go, the quality of food ebb and flow. My most recent times I've been in make me not want to go back. Josh, the manager, one time was just obnoxious. Kicked a chair out of the way when he came to deliver my drink, which he slid across the table to me. He appeared to be just really angry and taking it out in ways that are not quite professional. There is a female bartender with long hair who just is not very customer service orientated. She doesn't ever seem like in a good mood. Very direct in asking what you want. Not engaging. Went in another time for a seafood dish; smelled fishy and the noodles were not as advertised.
