I went there for a battery for my Prius. Right away, the guy looked /tested it and said my battery is bad . He replaced my battery right away! It really took less than 20 mins to removed and installed the new battery. (I was told from 2 diff stores that it will take 40 mins and they can't do it!) and the value of the battery from this shop is cheaper than o'reilly and autozone. I had battery trouble on my Tahoe I called big hog on Franklin blvd and the employee Jose let me know what my problem was and recommended I go to there woodland location because it was closer to me, I called woodland they had a new battery for me it was close to there closing time on a Friday the guy working jimmy said he would stay after closing until I got there to help me with my problem.when I arrived he was waiting for me and replaced my battery. I remember this store from about a year ago I was having problems and happened to be across the street SHOUT OUT to Sacramento Radiators. I decided to come in they gave me a good price reconditioned battery even offered to put it in. A year later I show up the customer service still up the par. I got a call back from Jose within 6mins of them missing my call. Not only did they offer to put it in but tested the battery let me know my results and gave me a few options. He let me know they can do overnight charging and informed me Autozone would charge it for a hour for free. Going the extra mile is the title of this review. read more

When I get there 10 minutes later they only have new ones now so I get a new one for $80 and was told if anything goes wrong with the battery I get a free replacement before the 20 months. I had the battery for one year today when I called Was told I have to leave the battery overnight and they will check it out. I said no where in my receipt does it say I have to leave my battery. After leaving all of the sudden my alarm starts malfunctioning and my interior lights stay flashing on all night. SCAMMERS!!! Told us over the phone they pay $10 for all batteries trade in and when we got there they told us $5 for regular batteries and that $10 is for a huge semi truck battery. If I could leave a review with no stars I would...I bought 2 NEW batteries for my diesel truck only 3 month ago and now I'm stranded at my job site so I was told when I purchased the batteries they have a mobile service in case of an emergency like the situation I'm in so I call big hog and spoke with JIMMY told him the situation and he wanted me to buy new batteries in order to receive the mobile service when I already purchased them only 3 months ago then proceeded to tell me to bring the batteries into him to charge them when I obviously can't cause my truck won't start then he offered me a the mobile service at a charge of $150 after I told him I would not pay the $150 he told me and I quote "Take your batteries and Shove them up your A$$" and hung up on me I would never recommend anyone to do business with them no matter how cheep there batteries are read more

You have to be careful. I called about a refurbished battery the guy that answered said they had what I needed in stock. I stated I was on the way. At this time I was on the freeway headed to pick up the battery. 15 min later when I arrived the guy says they don't have what I'm looking for however they do have a new one at almost twice the price I was quoted. I am writing this review even before getting my battery back! I wanted to have an old No-Cad battery rebuilt. I could not find a replacement anywhere online. I went to a battery store, no luck, called a battery replacement business, again no luck! I called Big Hog, took the battery in and they said they thought they could rebuild it! Hello friendz !! Back in 2017 I bought a battery from big hog back when they were located at the old Jimboys on Franklin Boulevard. Up until recently I had no problem with my battery, then it started Trippin and acting funky sometimes working sometimes not (having to carry jumper cables is a drag!!) When I was driving by that area I noticed that big hog was gone so I thought they went out of business I was very upset because I had a warranty on my battery. Then I decided to check YELP good ole Yelp hooked me up!! I found them they had just moved to a new location farther down Franklin Boulevard!! JOSE Was super nice and super helpful. He help me find my receipt on the computer. Then he checked my battery & checked my alternator in the sweltering heat I wish they had a tent out there for them because it's so hot in the sun and that's direct sun all day but anyway. Turns out my battery was funky so with no problems no questions he quickly exchanged my battery!! And now my car is running fabulous,,,thanks JOSE you really rock!! read more

This is a one star review, because I can not give a lower rating. I bought batteries for my mobility scooter. They are supposed to be gel batteries. They were acid sealed batteries. Not the type I should have. I took them to get tested, and they left them on the charger over the weekend, and that was where they were on Monday when I went to get them. My scooter would not run very far, or for very long. This is when I found out that I was supposed to have gel batteries, not acid batteries. I went in with the batteries, and was told how they went above and beyond trying to help me by charging them. I could not believe my ears. a battery store thinking they are going above and beyond to find out what is going on with their batteries. I found out that one of the batteries were completely dead, and since this was not they type of battery that is recommended for my scooter, it burnt out the charger. The whole time I was in the store, trying to talk to the manager, he is raising his voice to me, and treating me as if I was .......... I didn't even have the words here, I was so upset over the treatment, and the above and beyond. I would never recommended this place to anyone. EVER. after all if they go above and beyond by checking their own batteries, Isn't this just part of being a battery store? read more

Hi everyone, I don't really have much time to write a long review for these guys but they are awesome!!! They never let me down & they always figure out how to get me the best deal. I've been doing business with them for years. They can come to you and swap out your battery for an additional 40 bucks and give you $15 to take away your old battery. The cars they have serviced for me are my Jaguar, Lexus and Mercedes. The dealerships would love to charge me an arm and a leg for a new battery but thank God for big hog battery services.
