When I had my Jeep brought in for the 30k service a few months ago, I was told that my battery would soon need to be replaced. Bought 2 new batteries for cars (battery size 49 and battery size 35). The first battery size 35 I purchased on 11/2023 and the second battery size 49 I purchased on 04/2024. Both batteries were covered under their 2 years warranty. As of 07/2024 both batteries are bad and unusable. Took them to the company location for warranty exchange on 07/31/2024. An employee checked both of them and declared that they would have to charge them overnight to see if they are bad. I agreed and left batteries with them. On 08/01/2024 called store to inquire about status on batteries and was told they are ready for pick up after 1pm same day. Stopped by and before picking batteries up asked employee to test them for voltage and amperage to make sure that they are good. The size 35 battery was completely bad since it wasn't holding charge at all and the size 49 battery was showing charge but failed the amperage test, which means that its too weak and therefore unusable.I proved this to their employee by using a professional battery tester tool (Midtronics) that clearly showed bad battery (after they charged it overnight it had only 324CCA from the 850CCA that it should have). He suddenly got an attitude telling me that he knows better, started yelling at me and threw the bad size 35 battery in front of me and told me to f..k off the property. I grabbed the batteries and I left. Avoid buying here at all cost they are just a bunch of "know-it-all" crooks. Their warranty means nothing. read more

I have been buying batteries from this place for over 20 years and have referred all my friends to this place. After what happened a month ago I will never do business wither again. Also I encourage all my friends and the public to cease buying from them. Why am I so mad? I needed a new battery and automatically went there to buy a new Deck. When I arrived I asked them if they had the tool to plug into my cigarette so that my computer wouldn't loose its memory. The clerk at the counter told me "no" and didn't know what I was talking about. So I decided to take a chance anyway and bought the new battery. Not only was I told that they don't change batteries but I had to carry it out to my vehicle myself! Then, with my own tools and me in the sweltering sun, I had to remove the old battery myself and carry it I back into the store for credit. This battery was for a Diesel engine and you can imagine how big and heavy it was. Well after I got the battery installed and was dripping wet with perspiration, I noticed the manager out in the parking lot installing a new battery in someones van. I asked if they charged for that service and he sheepishly said "oh no, I'm doing this for my friend who is an old class mate of mine from high school". I looked at the customer who appeared to be at least 40 years older and I said "sure". From now on I am going to buy my batteries from any number of other stores that sell Deka batteries and I urge all of you to consider what I experienced before you patronize Sacramento Battery again. read more

I was looking for a battery for my electric bmw i3 and could not find it anywhere. I called here and they said they had the battery. I was so excited and took an uber to pick it up. When I brought the battery home I then realized that this was not the correct battery. It did not fit my car. I was down on my luck and these guys delivered. I called to see if they carried a battery for a Fiat 500. I arrived in 45 minutes (although I said 15), and the car battery was already waiting. They took 10 minutes to switch out my battery and I could carry on with my life. It took me longer to get cash from my bank than getting my car battery replaced. This is the best shop - period. I've had an ongoing problem for two (2!) years that finally was resolved here. It involved the solar charging system on my camper and I spent well over $2k (I stopped counting, it was too horrible) only to come full circle and find out it was only a problem with my house battery. Chris was the first to check my battery correctly and within the hour my problem was finally, finally fixed. And he was so incredibly kind and respectful when I had only been previously pandered to with insincere (and inaccurate) assurances, charged a ton for nothing, and ushered out the door. He knew I'd had a rough go, and went so far as to offer me a piece of pizza as it was lunchtime and I hadn't eaten. I was really touched, my treatment at that shop was so genuine and real. Sometimes small, inconvenient things happen at the worst times. For example, you arrive home after being away for three weeks, and your car decides not to start. Not being a car expert, I was slightly alarmed when my truck decided to act up. I wasn't quite sure where to start, so on the recommendation of my neighbor, I jumped it and took it to Sacramento Battery Co. I didn't call, I didn't even check reviews online, I just showed up on a Friday afternoon. The parking lot in sort of a triangle shape, and the garage is located in the same lot. I rolled up and parked, turned the car off and hoped for the best. Within seconds, one of the technicians greeted me in the parking lot. I told him I wasn't sure what was going on, but judging by the shorting out of the radio and the dials flittering when the car wouldn't start, I suspected it was the battery. He tested it, and told me it was "right on the border" of being bad, but he wanted a second opinion. He told me I was welcome to sit in the shop while it was warmer and he grabbed another technician to do the testing. Turns out the battery was bad, and the connections were very dirty and greasy. He gave me some options for batteries ranging from $30-$80 (refurbished, dented/flawed or brand new). Each battery grade also came with a 6 month, two year or 5 year warranty, depend on the condition of it when it was sold. I opted for the mid-level, and expected to pay a service fee, disposal fee, or at least some sort of fee for the testing of my old battery. Nope! I was only charged for the new battery, given a two year warranty and they disposed of my old one! Service was incredibly fast, honest, fair and I felt very comfortable and taken care of by the technicians in the shop! I will absolutely recommend these guys for all of your battery needs! read more

After speaking to the professional named Kyle he was more then helpful in answering all my questions,giving me several options with pricing(used /new) and Brands. The pricing was more then fair so I assumed," hey maybe another place might have a better deal".....LOL I was wrong! Not only was everyone more expensive but some were rude. This place I learned was mom and pop owned and if your anything like me you love to put your hard earned dollar in the hands of a local self owned business rather then a corporate chain. Once I arrived there he was generous enough to off load my 4 old batteries out the back of my truck ,got me squared away with my NEW Deka brand batteries ,helped load them up and I was on my way with the day.
