A great tasting moist brisket on a soft sweet toasted bun
    Ray F.

Ever have a craving for BBQ and a road side billboard entice you to try it without doing research on Yelp? This was me at this place! It was easy to get to, not much around to hide it. It wasn't too busy mid afternoon and the establishment looked clean and maintained on the outside. We didn't want to go in, wanted it to go and they had a drive thru! So we ordered. Brisket sandwich, potato salad, Coke and apricot fried pie for this BBQ eatin' cowboy from Texas. (I spent time on a working ranch as a kid.) The delicious BBQ smoke had permeated the sack and contents. I was drooling before the bag was opened! (Yes, I inhaled a few times, after all, it was Hope, Arkansas.) Really good BBQ brisket doesn't need sauce when on a bun. This was a really good BBQ Brisket sandwich. The meat was moist, smoky, and delighted the taste buds. I never opened the BBQ sauce. The bun was decadently sweet and springy. The potato salad was good. The fried pie was pretty good (the smoke flavoring was a nice surprise). Price was good as well. We will be back as we drive through here in the future!

Service was fast, food was flavorful. I have zero complaints. The chopped brisket was moist, the baked potatoes are huge. The topping on the potato we massive. They didn't skimp on anything. Only regret no room left for desert. I only tried the sweet bbq sauce my fiancé had the tangy one. Mine was great, she loved hers. This was was an awesome find on our way up north. If your in the area get some especially the stick to ribs Mac and cheese.

In the unlikely event that you find yourself in Hope, Arkansas, be sure to stop by Big Jake's. Nothing fancy, just good bar-b-que at prices that don't break the bank. I had the pulled pork sandwich with freshly cut fries. The pork was tasty and very tender with no fat. The condiment bar includes 5 sauces from sweet to smoky to hot, with the regular onions, pickles, and jalapeños. Plus the bottomless pinto bean pot. The sign said "Free gas with evry lunch." And don't forget the made on the premises fried pies!

Just unbelievably good, inexpensive barbecue. Chopped brisket, Mac n cheese, Texas toast, fries, and hand pie all amazing. Wow.

    Yummy Sloppy Joe Sandwich $4.00

We had really delicious ribs that fell off the bone, were moist, and seasoned perfectly and a delicious sloppy joe sandwich with soft and buttery buns and perfectly cooked meat. Highly recommend. The Mac n cheese was okay. And the beans were okay. :)

Stopped by briefly with a friend on a work day. Service was ok. The food is on point and of fairly sized portions. My friend had the baked potato and it was HUGE. I really enjoyed the smoked chicken breast and the brisket. Will stop by again.

Brisket on the dry side and tasty sausages.

Since I was driving through Bill Clinton's neck of the woods I had high hopes I could get some good BBQ. There was a big line at the drive-thru and a good amount of people inside the dining area, so it looked like a good bet. The service was prompt and friendly and there were lots of choices on the menu. I went with brisket ad sausage with some coleslaw and fries on the side. The sides were as good as sides usually are - nothing spectacular, but a good compliment to the meat. The sausages had a nice taste, but the brisket was dry, so I had to pour on some sauce. Thumbs up for the free beans to add to your meal at the condiment bar. I still believe in a place called Hope.

Would have loved a thicker bark, but tasted great. Tender.

We are foodies and especially bbq foodies. This was a great stop in Hope, AR. Great taste, environment, serving size, and value. Ribs and brisket were top notch. This gets a solid A from this E. Texas fella. We will sure stop by again.

Drive thru. That's right interstate driving people. Fast bbq in Hope off I30.

Brisket was average at best. Sausage was dry and tough. Beans were canned. Potato salad was supermarket like. I will not return.
