Big Lar's is my "go to" appliance repair life hack. I have a 24 year old beast of a Maytag Washer & Dryer pair (back when they were still MADE IN THE USA). My dryer had started sounding pretty loud, so I knew something wasn't right. As I was loath to replace it with a newer, less-reliable (as reported by friends) model, I had to find someone who would/could do the work [I used to call Parts Depot, but they no longer have a repair person]. I wasn't very interested in going with a corporate repair chain. I found Big Lar on line and gave him a call. He came out to my house, diagnosed the problem, and HAD THE PARTS (belts & rollers) ON HIS TRUCK! You could have knocked me over with a feather! I've previously had to scour ebay for parts necessary to keep my washer running. He did the work quickly and charged me a fair price. A local, independent, small business owner (the "backbone of America" type), he's a real professional. Since he repaired my clothes dryer, I've seen his truck at the neighbors' & running around Blo-No. Every time I see his truck, I smile, thinking "I know that guy!" and I'm overcome with a warm feeling because I know that the next time I have trouble with an appliance, it won't be a hassle because I'll just call Big Lar and he'll fix it. Huge shout out to Larry at Big Lar's! If you need an appliance repaired, estimated or a gently used replacement he is the man! Super professional, very responsive to questions, and extra fair pricing! I called when my washer started leaking water onto the floor... he diagnosed the problem, explained that unfortunately in our case the rare issue was more costly to repair than my particular machine was worth. He then gave me options and ended up finding me a gently used replacement set that fit my budget right now (with a 60 day warranty!) We recently had our 11-year old front loading LG repaired by Big Lar's. I had been give the name by a co-worker who had recently had them repair her dryer. The diagnostic process was outstanding. I described the problem and the technician was able to determine the issue. He stopped by to take a quick look at the machine, let me know the estimate, and then ordered the parts. Once the parts arrived, he called to set up an appointment the following day. Machine was repaired that day. The entire process went very well. Machine works great! I give my highest recommendation. Heard from a friend that Big Lar's Appliance Repair was awesome and boy was she right! After contacting Big Lar's via messenger I was promptly contacted. Larry came to our house and picked up our microwave to assess the problem then he contacted me with what needed to be replaced.
